I agree you guys are pretty awesome! Luckily, that banana didn't stop us from catching fish! Haha. Thanks for your support, Doug! Have a good day! Are the bass hungry yet?
I hope you are all doing good! This was filmed on January 4 right before the big snow storms. Good luck to you on your next fishing trip! See you on the ice!
Fun video! Also, what would be the best way to contact you personally? I'm in the early stages of planning a TH-camr trout tournament and I wanted to invite you/send you some more info if you are interested.
Doug is a hoot! You two were slaying out there..this lake man, just constant hookups on it. 8:23 That thing hit you right at the ice! Another beauty vid Kevin 👏
Thanks Landon! I love that lake! Dude, I had a Landon moment last weekend and I thought of you. I was fishing in the ice tent at strawberry again. And I set the hook on a fish, and the rod snapped in half....I was super bummed. It was my favorite combo. I was even more sad I came home to start the edit and found out there was no audio.
@@baitnbullets hahahahha that’s awesome! I mean, I feel you, but glad you had a good chuckle! Sucky the audio didn’t record, would’ve loved to hear that 🤣🤣
The sound of the ice is pretty cool. Dougie is right, it does sound like Star-Wars, haha! When the camera was underwater to look at the rainbow trout, it sounded like a real outer space war!! Those are some gorgeous Rainbows you guys caught. Very entertaining video, great job!!
It was super windy....I usually try and fish a spot to make sure there are a good number of fish before I commit to put up the tent. But today, that was the first thing we did. Hope all is well! Thanks for your continued support!
I love the sound of ice! I'm not a fan of cracking ice, though. 😂 you guys did well. No thick snow or slush. You hit it just in time. I might be heading up tomorrow, and im hoping the conditions aren't too miserable.
Thanks man! Not to often do you get just ice. I am glad I went up before the big storms hit. I went yesterday to the ladders. there was about 8 inches total Ice about 2.5 inches of clear ice and the rest was frozen slush. It was nice the slush was frozen so we didn't get wet. the fishing was good in the morning and slowed down about 1-2ish. Good luck I hope you catch a big one. The people next to us ended up catching a 24.5 fish. 6.19 lb.
Awesome to see you and your brother having a great time fishing, very cool. I follow a couple other Utah fishing channels and you’ve quickly become one of my favorites to watch.
Cody! I fished Strawberry yesterday at the ladders and the people next to us caught a whopping 24.5 inch cutthroat and was 6.19 pounds! I can't wait to get back out there!
New here! Saw you pop up in my feed. That was a riot! 8:45 that one hit hard! Funny that it bit so shallow and close to the ice. Looking forward to following your adventures!
That's great. Welcome to the channel!! Thank you for clicking and watching the video! There is nothing like an aggressive rainbow! They can fight hard! Thanks again! I hope you have a good day!
Damn man those are some nice fish!! I heard someone caught a walleye recently out of there, hopefully that situation gets taken care of soon. Always wanted to make a trip over there
Yes, strawberry holds some BIG fish!! You should try someday to come out! If you do, let me know. I can show you around. There was a walleye caught. Hope it's not going to cause a problem. If you want go check out the video on Backyard Boys TV channel.
This was January the 4th. I was lucky to fish Strawberry before the big storms. I fished the Ladders yesterday, all the slush is frozen! the ice was 8 inches thick. most of it was slush
Kevin, another great day on the ice with some nice catches! Your finder, do you actually see the fish take the bait, or is it the typical sonar type fish see?
It is a typical sonar. I can see right where my bait is and can see where the fish is. So i know when to be ready for the bite. One thing nice is. Say, when my bait is at 20 feet deep, and you see a fish a 15 foot. You can bring up your bait to him. Fish finders give you a huge advantage.
😢great video!! How many hours was that. You need to teach the wife how to clean those bows when you get home. Those fat pink mest bows are 8$/# at Costco.
I noticed you often fish shrimp tipped jigs? Brand new to ice fishing and have tipped jigs with crawlers and wax worms but never shrimp? Raw? Cooked? Bait store? Grocery store? I'm lost
Thanks for asking! I don't think it matters if its Raw or cooked. They like them both. I have been using raw shrimp from Costco. I like to freeze the shrimp and cut them up to size. I have heard that cook shrimp stays on the hook better. I have always used raw. I hope you give it a try. let me know how it goes! good luck! hope you have a good day!
Anyone named Doug is automatically awesome. Great trout. You took a big risk with that banana.

You guys are always having a hood time I was on scofield last night I was wondering if it was you guys they where definitely having a good time
Fishing is super fun! it wasn't me at Scofield. I was at Strawberry at the ladders, hooting and hollering! Hope you did good at Scofield!

Nice action on thin ice. I’m assuming this was a while ago. I was just told there’s a foot and a half of slush there now.

I have a video I want to share with you. When I saw it reminded me of you on the ice. Maybe it can help you be safe when you do ice fishing

When was this?
This was filmed on January 4th. It was right before the big storm. Nice size perch you caught! Good job!
@@baitnbullets Thanks! I am hoping to go to Strawberry on Friday the 26th hope the slush is not to bad.
@alanshingleton2294 I fished the ladders on saturday. most of the slush was frozen. We stayed dry! Good luck, Alan!
Wait, so what was the bait/lure combo at 3:23?
It was a paddle bug made from eagle claw tipped with a peice of shrimp! I love your youtube name! Thanks for watching!
