These ponds and lakes you fish are incredible. The interesting thing is you never see anyone else out there. Quality fish and no pressure is a good thing!
I usually watch but I don't post anything, be I really enjoyed this video. It helped me realize watching that beautiful scenery and the were amazing. Keep up the good work.
Pro tip! Remember which direction they leave in after you release them. Sometimes they swim toward their home where there may more fish. If you only caught a few fish go in the direction they swim off in unless you know otherwise.
Awesome video man! One thing, please invest in a spud bar for this early ice. Especially with cloudy ice like that. Could be 6" where you're standing, but only 2" a couple feet away. Remember, a hatchet only allows you to check the ice you're already standing on 👍 Stay safe, we'd all like you to keep making these great videos 👍
Nice that you have the whole place to yourself to fish ! The keeping your mouth shut where you fish helps to ! Thumbs-up ❤ this show my friend is awesome !
If you leave the head on and snip it by the gills, you can bend it over the back and use it for a handle to pull on the skin. Sometimes when the skin gets slippery, i have grabbed it with a paper towel too and that seems to help. Great job on that sketchy ice too. I was a bit afraid for you. The fish were beautiful
Great video dude ! After that first fish, I thought game on ! Then it got so cold. You managed to find them and catch them ! Great job and that meat looked delicious !!!
You should do a video where you make your own fishing rod out of natural things you find around you and try to catch a Trout! Also, you should do a video where you bring a subscriber with you and yall have a fish off.
Also, I went trout fishing last month and caught 2-4lbs trout and ended up using the Japanese Ikejime method where you gut, bleed them, and then severe the spinal nerves with a wire. Then just fillet them and vacuum sealed them. Zero fish smell and the taste and flavor is just as amazing as when I caught them first week of November. Its diff a process but so worth it if you're planning on catching and keeping lots of fish!
Great video! One thing that needs to be repeated is that white ice is NOT safer than black ice in most cases. Always spud your way out, and like you noticed, pay particularly close attention to changing ice conditions on your way out. Good job man!
W video, when i next go fishing with the gulp minnows and try to catch a tiger trout, i’ll tell you the results and if i got one, i will spread the word and everyone will sub to you.
Hey man BassNTrout how could I get one of those axes that you made they looks so good and cool I think that would be super helpful when I go camping and fishing please let me know brother 💯💙🙏
@@bassntroutfishing well thank ya for your help keep up doing these amazing videos I absolutely love your trout fishing videos and your channel it’s one of the best ones out there!

Scud-fed trout have the very best meat. That rainbow's meat looked amazing.
Nice catches.
Yep the more crustaceans the fish eat like scuds, the darker the color of the meat will be, and generally the more flavor it will have!
Especially from here. Maybe those salamanders they eat have something to do with it to..

Amazing! Doesn’t get any better than this. Catching big fish while eating a gourmet meal on the ice! Nice!
Glad you like it!

No days wasted fishing.
Niiiice. Wish our rainbows were that cooperative here in Maine!! We have too many smelts for them to feed on!!
Such a underrated TH-camr
In 35 years of fishing I have never once seen someone pull the skin off a trout by hand like that before.
I agree I want to know who taught you that I am going to try that next fish I catch.
Same here
Red dead style
Nice relaxing vid for a Sunday morning. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!

Funny to watch you chopping holes with an axe.
When I was a kid I would use an axe to chop holes in our pond, so my milk cows could get a drink.😊
What state/country are you from? I'm always fascinated by people with farm animals and rural life. Regards, gal from Toronto
Love it! 😀
I think it would be a fun video idea to cook up several trout species side by side and compare them.
Man the way you just took the skin off that fish holy crap I’ve never seen that
@Bass'N'Trout what's the pan you used for this video? Been a big fan and would like to get into more catch and cook!
Nice video but when i am fishing and i am not sure if i can get second fish so i always take the first one

Very cool thanks
What brand is your bigger ice rod

Yeppy yep!
Currently chilling at a cabin in eastern Washington, watching your awesome fishing adventure. Great video, brotha!!! Fellow TH-camr... XPLRNW
You made me hungry for some fresh trout….
You’re welcome
Hey man BassNTrout how could I get one of those axes that you made they looks so good and cool I think that would be super helpful when I go camping and fishing please let me know brother 💯💙🙏
It was actually given to me by a friend, but I’m pretty sure it came from harbor freight

When taking them home clean there and put in a bag with some water from there the fish should taste like fresh caught
That would suck if the hole wasn't big enough 😅👍👍🎣🎣
The shrimp are in the shallow water eating. So the fish were eating their shrimp buffet lol
VERY NICE !!!! U DONT NEED TO TAKE OMEGA3 ~~~~~~
What state is this
Probably northern Canada
Approved
So why would u let the first one go?
Hah aha, That’s how we like em, dumb and hungry…
nice
Why is that first fish in the first few minutes or on the first cast put a jinx on the trip…every time.
I always joke fish prob see us like Aliens, and we are abducting them just like humans and Alien abductions
I hope you have ICE PICKS! fall through that ice in minutes your body will shut down
Do you ever get tired of eating trout?
dude thats looks like sketchy ice.
Some of it..
👍
You pull the fish up too fast and they trash against the bottom of the ice. Make a bigger hole and put your rod tip down to them.
I like my own comment
Eh!
Nice bud bro, I hope you get more followers and likes🙌🏼
Appreciate it!
If you'd make a bigger whole they would have a chance of cutting you off I think it's pretty obvious that the whole is too small
