Fantastic video. As a warrior who had their first go offtanking this last week this looks like the way to do it. Is that a custom weakaura for showing when the other tank will phase or part of a mod pack?
Thanks for the good words! The WA is part of the Tems Ulduar Pack. You can find it easily when searching these words. It's a great pack for most of the Ulduar encounters.
Constellations on 10 man don't do much damage. It's fine to let them alive for a couple. You want the tank not tanking the boss taking care of them. Watch out to not use all the black holes when you destroy constellations, you want probably 1 close to melee and tank and 1 close to ranged. They will have enough time to save themselves from big bang that way. Thanks for the question and the good words!
Hey thanks for the good words! I went with Defender's Code and Lavanthor's Talisman cause the use cooldowns on them make them really good for the amount of time you tank the boss. But if you got better mitigation trinkets from Ulduar, go with them.
I used my normal tank glyphs, which were blocking, devastate and vigilance cause with this strat, i didnt need to have SW and Last Stand glyphs cause the kill time was fast. If you gonna encounter a 3rd big bang, you will need to tank a 3rd time, so using Last Stand glyph could be useful. Use Last stand, shield block and trinkets for 1st BB, then Shield wall and shield block on 2nd BB, then Last stand, trinkets, shield block and armor pot on 3rd BB. But normally, with good dps, boss should be dead before 3rd BB.
Hey! I'm using the Tems Ulduar Pack WA to track the phase punch stacks. Here's the link to install it: wago.io/TemsUlduar Thanks for the question and good luck!
Hey there! The reason is shield block is only 1 min CD, so by the time you tank the boss again, shield block will be up. So it's worth to use it even if shield wall does a good enough job. If you tank the boss most of the time, i would delay the usage of shield block. Thanks for the question and good luck.
@@hifinch Thank you for your answer! i`m a new one in this game. I tanked a second after paladine, and used then apart. But i haven't got a trinked. I've read that dodges were nerfed. But still it seems that dodges are cool!
@@TheVoalex Yeah dodge got nerfed on this fight, but as a prot warrior, you have block which is really good for this fight cause of the amount of hits you receive. You can always watch my stream and figure out how i tank in Ulduar. I did a video on some general tips for tanking in Vanilla and Wrath: m.th-cam.com/video/Fys7ekVVY8w/w-d-xo.html
Our DK was putting icy touch up, so there was a reduced melee speed debuff up for it. If you don't have a DK, I would do it as an OT cause you don't do much during the fight outside of bringing utilities and tanking the boss. I know druid and paladin can bring the debuff, but I never heard of anybody using it, might cucked them hard in their spec. Thanks for the question! Hope the video helped.
Hey there! I used a generic prot build for this attempt but if i wanted to put all the chances on my side just for this fight, i would use a build like this: www.wowhead.com/wotlk/talent-calc/warrior/05-302500005-053051225000112521032113321_001s0711xv121s09322j441rqh51rqj Glyph of intervene could be a bit spooky if you're undergeared, so make sure you can take 2 hits without heals and CDs. Otherway i would use glyph of last stand so its up again later in the fight if needed. Some of the talents in this build aren't that needed for this fight. Safeguard is a great pickup for Algalon cause you give a free defensive CD to the main tank every 30 sec. If you have questions, don't hesitate to hit me up! Papa bless.
I didn't have safeguard for this fight, but I can definitely see it being useful if the tank is getting clapped hard. If you can use intervene when there's no CD rolling on tank, I think it would be the best to do it to help your healers. 6 sec of 30% damage reduction every 30 seconds is huge. Hope the video helped and thanks for the question!
Thanks for the 1k views all! Really glad this video helped some people out there on killing Algalon. Papa bless.

Congrats ! How do you guys handle living constelations ? Ive seen you just for a few seconds dealing with them, do anyone else take care of them ?

Hi bud, grats on kill. Question, what trinks were you going with?

what's the weak aura you use for phase punch stacks on other tank?

Why did you use shield wall and shield block simultaneously? Maybe they should be used appart?

can i get a link to ur weak aura for tracking sunder demo roar thunderclap such
I'm using an addon from TBC, so it's not on the weakaura website anymore. You could use the one from Beanna if you want: wago.io/tXAsOHOpI
Is Thunderclap not worth it for the 30sec attackspeed debuff? Thoughts?
