I've always been a little lax when it comes to flossing. But on New Year's Eve, 2021, I decided that one resolution would be to floss every night. I'm proud to say I've been doing it since then and haven't missed one day!

Too much flossing could be bad for you too, in this case, everyday, because it irritates the gums.
You don't need to floss everyday, it's not like brushing.
Flossing twice a week is fine, or every other day or every other third day, if you realllyyyy wanna.
But yeah, everyday is wayyy too much and can cause too much irritation over time.

Rosehip seed oil is one of the few things I think I'll never stop using (and The Ordinary has a great one). Not for the antioxidants and retinoids, but if my skin gets SUPER dry and sensitive it's one of the few things other than Vaseline I can put on my skin without pain. When I managed to mess my face up that even the "soothing" and "repairing" products hurt, I found that layering rosehip seed oil and Vaseline on slightly damp skin was the best way to kickstart the recovery process without pain. Plus, it just makes my face so soft!❤️❤️❤️
That Bumble and Bumble primer spray is great on my daughter's easily-damaged hair. It really made a difference when I started spraying that on her head before she played outside this summer! I was worried about the silicones and her curls, but with the summertime chlorine exposure I have to clarify her hair regularly, anyway. It's pretty rare that I'm styling her hair in anything other than tangle-minimizing braids those days!

Paula's Choice is the only skin care I use. I have rosacea and I have never had any problem with any sensitivity. I'm so glad you mentioned the Azelaic Acid, It's awesome!

Doc, if possible can you please discuss fluctuations in skin tone? My complexion changes quite often. At times it's bright and other times just super darkened and dull. This is the best explanation I could come up with. Even when I don't go out of the house and am not exposed to the sun, it still shows fluctuations, and change in lighting isn't a factor involved. The change in complexion is quite prominent even within the same day.

I love love LOVE the verb ghost oil! It is the only heat protectant/leave in product I can use without being able to feel an oily film on my face by the end of the day

Lol I was excited that you had a makeup haul but floss is great as well 🤣 that azaleic acid from the ordinary is the best and I will forever repurchase. I love that acid and even have my tretinoin combined with it, it's the best thing I've ever used. Squalene, jojoba, and argan oil I use before lotioning up every now and then especially when my skin is flaky. The josie Maran argan oil is nice but I also use the aveeno body oil alot.
I use the Grande Lash Mascara! The serum hurt my eyes and dried them up. But the mascara is effective for lash growth and haven't had any eye dryness issues either!!
I don't have ulta where i am in Australia 😒 but i do love using the ordinary brand. I have learnt quite a lot this past year or so watching Dr Dray. Neutrogena rapid wrinkle repair cream (fragrance free) too and taking care of breakouts using the ordinary products.

Yeah yeah ulta sales wow so excited but being far away is disappointing yet seeing dearest Andrea and the rest of you guys and girls brings me joy. The burst of Andrea's happy possitive energy is litterally so i don't know. It gives you hope,ambition and many happy emotions. Of course dental hygiene is essential for a complete healthy routine and maintenance of our health in general. I personally floss every day but i don't use the little brushes because my dentist said that i don't need them and also i don't have much space in order for the to actually work-function. Miss Andrea you are actually in my humble opinion the greatest and most genuine influencer aside from already being a great dermatologist and person in total. Thanks Dr Dray! My skin is glowing because of your advice. I will be trying shaving soon for the first time in my life (72!) after listening to you and watching you shave 🙂 I tried the Ordinary Azelaic Acid (a bit of rosacea). I did not like the consistency. I am going to see my Derm in the next month or so and will ask for a 15% cream (my Derm is in France and I find prescription products cheaper there.) If I don't like that, I will try Paula's Choice.
I bought the Ordinary Azaleic acid yesterday because of another of your videos. It makes my skin feel so nice!

Cool whip looks fun, but there is a mask made from marshmallow root that I use once a week by Bliss. It has a similar texture to cool whip and it’s pink. It doesn’t dry down totally so it doesn’t leave your skin super dry after. It has fragrance and I don’t know if it does anything, but it’s fun anyway and I enjoy it. Speaking on dental hygiene, I recently got a power flosser because I’m so lazy with flossing and I am addicted to it! It feels really good getting between all of my teeth with the water and it takes only a couple minutes.

The bumble and bumble bond building set is actually pretty nice. Not on the same level as olaplex or k18 but still reparative and makes hair smooth and shiny. And it smells amazinggggg!!!! The bb bond build line also just launched a bond building oil. Which in this case, their oil has the highest concentration of the bond building honey complex among the line. Usually bonding products will have their highest concentration in their treatment mask or something along those lines
Enjoyed this so much, Dr. Dray! Also love your lip color! Are you a cool skin tone? Your wrist looks like mine and I’ve been trying to figure out my undertone because sometimes my veins are more aqua. Anyway, I’m amazed that I learned so much in this short video so thank you!

Also Dr Dray, i've been using the Skinstitut retinol serum with peptides in it and would love a vid explaining the ingredients, i'm not sure if i would repurchase.
For those with curly hair looking for a curl jelly the As I Am curl jelly is fungal acne safe AND it works amazingly. Hasn’t broken me out and really defines the curls. My hair is soft as well without even using a leave in. It’s my one and done product and I love it!!
I actually met the founder years ago - I was in a park n ride bus to the airport and she struck up a conversation because of my curly hair. Such a nice person. I should give that products try! Thanks for reminding me about As I Am.

I tried Avatara’s niacinamide mask recently and it was very nice! Saw a difference in my skin the next day

I did a big order from The Ordinary in November (they have discount "month" in November instead of black Friday), and so I got what I got on a deal. I went conservative, got the big tubes of the Moisturizing Factors moisturizer (times two), got myself 10% Niacinamide (times two), and their Vitamin C in silicone suspension (to try). I had a vitamin C night mask from Aldi (Biocura) and it was *so good* but honestly, I'm about through my stash of it, and I had a stash that lasted me 3 years. Yeah!

Another great video... shopping with Dr Dray 🛍 The Essence Lash princess Sculpted Volume mascara has been my favorite for over 5 years 🥰 With the prices of skin care and cosmetics being so unreasonable as well with everything else, I prefer buying affordable skin care and cosmetics from the drugstore. What do you think of the new Aveeno 'Soothe & Protect' sunscreen?
The Ordinary Squalane is “oil free”, you showed it and then went straight into talking about using oils on your face. I love this product, of course I don’t use it as an oil or moisturizer. But it is very hydrating. I apply it after spritzing my face with water.
Dr Dray, you skin is so nice, I wish I would of taken better care of my skin years ago, I’m 71 and just started using Sun screen when I was 68, big mistake

I think people with dry skin would hate The Ordinary's 10% Azelaic Acid. It's pretty drying. I loved it when I was super oily and using greasy sunscreens, but after finding better sunscreens (shout out to Skin Aqua) and getting on Spironolactone plus Tretinoin, I'm not loving it anymore. A moisturizer before my sunscreen is a must with it. I do like Foundation's 14% Azelaic Acid, which is more moisturizing (and pricey!), but I have to be careful not to use too much of it (and I mean very little) or the Eucerin CoQ10 moisturizer after, otherwise the combination pills.

Thanks for the mention of UV protectors for hair. I never gave that much thought because I don’t color process my dark hair, but I am aging so I should reconsider. Just did a search and found your video from a yr ago about SPF for hair and scalp so I’ll give that another watch. A few weeks ago you mentioned some FDA changes that would affect drugstore prices - do you have any more info on that?

I was using cerave hydrating cleanser but I tried this week the cetaphil hydrating foaming cleanser with the blue, first time I can say I loved a cleanser. Dr Dray is my favorite, I wouldn't have tried the cetaphils new formulations if it wasn't for her 😍
It would be cool to go over facial makeup removers (oils, balms, the works). I tried oat cleansing balm but I don't like it on my face anymore, it's too thick and hard to get off even with a double cleanse (I even tried tripling it up with a makeup eraser).
You can try doing searches for videos like, dr dray cleansing balm; dr dray cleansing oil; dr dray double cleansing, etc.
I also don’t like the oat cleansing balm. Everyone raves but it bothered me. Irritating and pulls too much
@Hemmyii I feel like it could be ok to remove body sunscreen, which is what I'm going to do with the rest of mine. I feel like with so many different products coming out in stores the last few years, it could be nice to like go through the list and give ratings. There may be others that Dr. Dray has found efficient.

I’ve been using 0.01% Tretinoin Gel for almost 2 weeks now I’m getting compliments on my skin
I’m hoping through the process of using it my acne will go away for good
I get tiny whiteheads on my face and pimples on my neck that are so annoying to deal with
You would think pimple patches would get rid of them but I don’t want them to come back
Also I use 10% benzoyl peroxide soap every morning that’s definitely helping my acne not coming back worse
I can use retin A and S.A daily...Game changer , some have fragrances or? That are irritating ..but a 1.00 Acne body wash ( grocery outlet) is the Bees knees for my psoriasis and cracked feet at a 100....such a deal.

I am more scared to try new hair care than skin care . I had an experience of using the pattern line (supposedly a curly hair line ) and i used it for maybe 4 months until i realized all the hair loss and thining ! I went right back to Sebastian and am recovering and getting my hair back to thick and full ! All these brands are found at ulta .
I suffer from seborrheic dermatitis, so I know the fear.

Ulta is in Target? I rarely go to target as there’s none near me but soon actually next month they’re coming.
A little while back my skin was a disaster, suddenly went into extra dry. Nothing I used before worked. Watched Dr. Dray and now my skin is great. Older person here with lines and dry skin. Tried the CeraVe night cream. That was good. Then went to Eucerin balm and that was absolutely fantastic; instant results. Now after using it some days, it’s even better. Thank you, Dr. Dray!!!

@@stepherssays It’s called Eucerin Intensive Repair Essential Oil Balm. As I said, my skin just went super dry; looked like snake skin. And nothing I had worked. Then ran across Dr. Dray’s video about using CeraVe Night Renewal Cream. That made an instant difference, but not enough. When I got the Eucerin, it was like a miracle. My skin was really dehydrated and it hydrated it immediately. I’ve been using it only a little while now, but my skin is great. After the CeraVe, I tried the Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Cream. Fantastic. (All Dr. Dray’s reviews.). At the moment, at night, I am using the Eucerin Intensive Repair. Then I put the Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Cream over it. I think when it warms up, I won’t need all of this, but for now this saved my skin. I also use the Eucerin Intensive Repair under a tinted moisturizer, a thin layer, and it’s great. All are, as I’m sure you know, readily available in lots of places.
@@stepherssays Forgot . . . Also using Sukoyaka Suhada Urea Moisture Lotion - basically a toner. Dr. Dray reviewed the urea toners.
@@dawnjohnson8739 I have SUPER dry skin and am older. I highly recommend the Inkey Lists Polyglutemic Acid. It's more hydrating then hyaluronic acid. Just thought I'd mention it!

$49 for 1.8 ounces of Colorscience sunscreen! If I was a health products executive I'd try for a low margin high volume approach to high quality sunscreens. That is a wide open market!
