The original scent of Dove will always remind me of my Aunt. There was always a bar of it in her bathroom. It always smelled of Dove. She recently passed away, and that smell will always make me think of her. ❤❤
Those sunscreen sticks are great - I keep one in my purse to swipe the backs of my hands and fingers when I'm going to be driving or outdoors. It's easier for me than putting on liquid sunscreen and having sticky palms when I'm out of the house and it stays put pretty well..
I never even thought about that! I always have an issue with transferring suncreen on everything I touch since I put sunscreen on like hand lotion and it leaves a film everywhere.
I stopped shopping at Walgreens a few years ago when they started locking up everything. I like to read labels & it was impossible to do when everything is behind locked plexiglass.
I quit too. I left so many times without getting what I wanted because I would have had to call someone and they are always understaffed. I can't imagine that the amount they lose to this is much less than from theft. But probably by cutting staff and online saves them. Ugh.
I rarely shop in drug stores but when I do, I go to Walgreens. I'm always impressed by the variety of skin care they have. Unfortunately the prices are pretty steep compared to Wal-Mart unless you get something on sale. I love Dove body wash. Need to keep my eye out for the new ones. Enjoyed the shopping video as always. Thanks so much for always taking us along with you and explaining what the ingredients are so we can make more informed decisions. Happy Wednesday, Dr Dray! I hope you have a blessed evening. ❤
Thanks so much for your consistency and your education. You have helped me make better decisions and have more informed conversations with my dermatologist. Also your old school hip-hop game is on point!
That Dove fragrance-free body wash is my holy grail! It is so thick and luxurious and one of the main ingredients is petrolatum. I do feel that my skin has suffered less this winter, even though it’s been colder.
Omg short contact therapy With either salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide has Been so helpful for my sensitive skin that also has cystic acne. It's really reduced the inflammation and pain by the morning sometimes, it's not an instant effect, but I've been doing it for the past few weeks and I'm loving it! Thank you for the tip!!
Will you comment on Zest soap ingredients? Zest was the only soap that saved my dry skin this winter. My hands especially were red, rough, and itchy until I switched to Zest. I haven’t added anything else but now my hands are so much softer and the redness is gone. It’s ridiculously cheap at Walmart - $4 for 8 bars. Thanks!
I found a new dove body wash on clearance at walmart for 3 dollars! It's called "irritant care" and is fragrance free plus has the eczema seal of approval 👌
I use the Everyday facial sunscreen lotion. I really like it. It has a greenish cast, but disappears to a clear or pearl glow look as you rub it in to the skin, dries down quickly, has a slight pool float scent that dissipates quickly. I find I need to use a moisturizer with it because skin feels a little dry without it. Wears well under makeup.
Hi😉Thank you for your videos I’m trying to watch them all. My 16 year old has Eczema since he was a baby. He uses Dove sensitive soap occasionally Aveeno, and for lotion he uses Aveeno with oatmeal and Vaseline and his medications, for his face he uses one you had recommended (think called) Neutrogena salicylic acid face wash. Myself and everyone also uses the same Dove soap and rarely aveeno soap. My mom occasionally her face is peeling and very dry skin, she wears oxygen tubbing so occasionally he gets marks on her face from that and she occasionally 🤨uses something for that when I remind her. As for me (40s) I few weeks ago I started using Cetaphil moisturizer for redness and I just bought timeless coenzyme 10 while I’m still using my old Clinique cleanser and some kind of avocado face mask, I got a few bottles of that. Oh and a sunscreen that’s not on your list. Sooo, I’ve been making a list from your recommendations for me to try, I’m starting to worry if it’s too many but basically I want all the good ingredients 😅
I was nervous when you pulled out the Dove sensitive skin bar; I've been using this on my "sensitive" areas my whole life. Happy to hear that it makes my skin happy and is actually good!
It's a great choice! I started using it last year when I was recovering from contact dermatitis from an antiseptic ointment. It doesn't irritate my skin like other soaps do.
I have been using the Walgreens vitamin C serum for about 6 weeks now and I definitely have noticed fading of splotchy areas on my face. No irritation either (I do have oily skin though and am used to salicylic acid products).
At 14:54- Burt’s Bees Gentle Facial cleanser. Not so new, I bought this back last Summer at Walmart. I used it up & can say, yes, it’s gentle but really did nothing more for my skin. I usually buy from Walmart, because Walgreens can be expensive & usually at least a dollar or so more for the same products, plus Walmart offers way more products than my local Walgreens. Also the cotton pads you pointed at 12:22 & said are reusable, are NOT reusable to my knowledge. I bought some of those. What they actually are, is a thinner, textured cotton pad that is LINT FREE. No where on the packaging does it say you can reuse them. If they do sell reusable ones, I haven’t seen any.
My Walgreens closed a few months ago but I wasn’t surprised. Their prices are just insane, like double of Walmart. The building has been empty for 4 months now. We need cheaper drugstores around here because CVS is really expensive, too.
WoW I'm super excited with today's video Miss Andrea Walgreens did not disappoint to the least, i also as a child used the scented version of dove soap that smell is so nostalgic and connected with so many memories. I'm envious because when you mentioned the fragrance free dove one i wanted it (because I'm washing know with fragrance free body wash and shampoo due to my scald burning) 😂😂😂 and 7$ what a pretty good deal. Here in Greece markets don't have their skincare products and the skincare products are expensive so buying them online is way cheaper. Aveeno in Greece is highly recommended for babies and infants. So happy with today's video that I'm all happy and fidgety 😍💖🙏 thank you Miss Andrea for taking us with you and show us so many deals and wonderful stuff. Have a marvelous morning with extra love and care.💖💚🙏😎😄😊☺
@18:33 I did use up a bottle of the Mielle scalp/hair oil, and did I notice new hair growth. I massage this hair oil 2x/ week, an hour before my shampoo routine. However, I don't think it's this hair oil that's helping with hair growth, instead, my theory is it's the action of massaging to relax my tense scalp muscles that stimulates more blood circulation on my scalp, that's promoting new hair growth. Another theory, could be similar to the 'double cleansing with oil method ' but for your scalp, that's removing the buildup blocking my hair follicles, which helps with the new hair growth. I replaced the Mielle hair oil with extra virgin olive oil (more cost effective), it's doing the job very well for me. I don't recommend coconut oil because it's hard to shampoo out from your hair. Versus, with extra virgin olive oil, I can wash out easily by just shampooing once. I switch off between Mane 'n Tail and Head&Shoulders Original Shampoos for over an year now, they both work great at shampooing out the olive oil.
I didn’t realize the Dove sensitive “soap” was Dr Dray approved. I’m going to pick up a few bars, because I really did enjoy using that product back in the day. Have a great rest of the week, Dr Dray!🤗❤️
I use antibacterial bar soap every other day and especially while shaving. Seems to prevent from getting boils. If they ever stop making antibacterial soap I hope they make more natural soaps like neem and tea tree.
Love your channel. Love you going through the ingredients on skin care products and explaining them. Love your sense of humor too. Thanks for sharing!❤
I have mild to moderate ichthyosis and am loving the Lubriderm Cream in the tub. It is fragrance free, working well and most importantly it is COMFORTABLE. I wrote this on another video of yours but want to recommend it to others because I've tried the world...and with most products if it's comfortable it's not effective or if it's effective it's not comfortable. This Lubriderm may pull where it quits working later on, but for now I'm quite excited. And it's reasonably priced.
Love the Dove Bars, are my favourite body cleansers, are cheap and easy to find but still gentle enough on the skin. The cucumber scent and sensitive skin one are my favourites, they're so nice!
I saw ad on tv today for Gold Bond hydroxy acid body cream and one for crepey skin. Haven’t seen it in stores yet, the advertise sai crepey skin is improved after 2 uses. I’d like to see that!
See her video, how to grow lashes. She also has another one, lash extensions: what they don't tell you. She also has a video on lash serums. Another derm with a lash video, Tea with MD, dermatologist's guide to eyelash lifts, extensions, and growth serums. Ophthalmologist Dr. Rupa Wong has a number of videos on lashes as well.
Was just in my Walgreens (Palm Desert, CA) yesterday and saw they have their own adapalene! $23 for 1.6 ounces. My friend in Oregon just got some too. Not sure if all Walgreen's locations have it yet as I think it might be a new product for them,
Hi Dr Dray as a flitzpatrick5 I absolutely adore the new neutrogena uv tinted in deep i can get away w/using the med deep but the deep is a perfect match i cant thank u enough for recommending this is life changing Doc.
Yes, both my kids hate putting sunscreen on and they're no babies (both teens). I recently got a Korean brand sun stick and now my son uses it without me reminding him to use before he goes out! Now I gotta find a different sun stick for my picky daughter 😏
I often use baby body wash when I’m having a bad psoriasis flare up but I find that baby products are more expensive than normal products which doesn’t make sense since they have less ingredients.. I have been using that Mielle rosemary oil and have not noticed any improvement with hair loss but my hair does feel softer although I could probably use any oil to the same effect. I think I’m going to try to see a derm for my hair loss instead.
I feel like for a lot of people the biggest problem with BP is how it bleaches your towels and sheets. That’s fine for a teenager but as an adult my linens are too expensive for that
I’d be cautious of using it in your pets. The ingredients can upset their stomach at the very least, especially if they lick their paws. Vaseline is a great alternative. ;)
Hi from Australia! 😊 I would love a video on drug store hair care, specifically the new Elvive hyaluron plump range. Olaplex ruined my hair (i'm in a facebook group for it, crazy how much we all have in common regarding the damage to our hair) i tried the Elvive hyaluron shampoo and mask and it made my hair so soft, better than expensive professional stuff.
I use that Walgreens 2% benzoyl peroxide 3x/week for armpit & food odor, carbuncle prevention, and clearing zits & spots. So cheap, so easy, & once I learned how to prep my skin & ease into it, I've had no irritation or drying, and my skin is extremely dry already - it's been such a fantastic product for me!
Hello! I recently discovered the DermaGlowy Red Light Therapy Mask and am happy with the results after using it for 3 months. I recommend giving it a try - you won't regret it!
Body wash is behind locked cabinets?! I always check ingredient labels due to my sensitive skin. I guess that's out at Walgreen's. 🙄 I've been waiting with baited breath for my Walgreen's to get the new Neutrogena tinted mineral sunscreen in stock. Excited to try it! ☺ Store brand vitamin C serum for $12.99? I'd give that a try, definitely!
Hey Dr. Dray! Love this video! I've been using Dove bar for Sensitive Skin ever since it came out. Sometimes I even use it as a second face wash if I forgot to refill my in-shower face wash bottle. I also love the scent of Dove bar for Winter Care; for my body only, never for my face. Thanks for this video - that store has an amazing range of products!
I wonder if you can do half and half with the light and the medium and see what color you get. I love to mix my foundations ( especially of similar consistency) to get a color just right.
Have to agree with you. I was shopping in Walmart for men's underwater at Christmas time, and it was locked up. It makes shopping a nightmare. They are forcing us to shop online.
I know! What is going on?? Locking up items less than 10.00?? How sad this world has become!! It’s the first thing I thought of when I saw the Dove. Lowlives think they can run through drugstores filling up bags with products and run out. I see it on the news all the time. So the rest of us have to deal with the repercussions. It’s beyond despicable.
What’s with your Dove body wash being under lock & key?! 😆 I tried the CeraVe Vitamin C and found that it had a tendency to pill quite a bit, especially under makeup. Thanks for the virtual shopping trip! I had shoulder surgery and haven’t been able to get out much. Thanks for letting us tag along and for sharing your time and knowledge with us! ❤
You can also buy the neutrogena sunscreen with your FSA account. That’s the flexible spending account if you have one. Just used it at Walgreens for the sunscreen.
I really wish I had known this earlier but I started last year using my HSA account as well from work to buy sunscreen. It’s so nice because I can go ahead and not feel so bad about trying some more expensive kinds hoping I like them and definitely not worrying about applying too much thinking I’m wasting money
Andrea! You are a godsend, you transformed my skin via your recommended skincare products. QUESTION for you: what do alcohol based makeup 'fixer' sprays do to spf and makeup that contains spf? I wear a CC cream with 50spf and I want to fix it to prevent tranfer to clothes and to help set the makeup. MUA love fixers sprays because the alcohol kind of 'melts' the makeup into the skin making it look perfect. But does it degrade the spf? Is there any research on this? What does the science say? THANK YOU!
There's actually a lot of controversy going around about the Mielle oil as it is geared toward black people, specifically black women. The creator of the oil is black and she said all people can use it. However, the oil went viral on TikTok and a lot of black women were upset because white women were using it and selling it out of stores. I bought it before the controversy. Walgreens or CVS don't place it in the African Beauty section, so it's hard to tell its geared only toward people of color. It's kind of a tricky subject. I've since made my oil rosemary oil with argan and feel like it's better.
While I think it’s important for people to find and use products that are formulated for their hair and skin types, that Mielle hasn’t actually been selling out. There was a fear, for sure, but according to Mielle it hasn’t sold out in stores. At least, this was a few weeks ago last I checked.
Dr. Dray, I have always taken care of my skin but the last 5+ years, I’ve become very sick. Not Covid!!! Heart Problems and Fibromyalgia!! So I’ve pretty much stopped taking care of myself!! I want to start back and baby myself, I’m 62 and Thank God I don’t look it yet! But I do see lines and some spots. Any ideas what would be helpful and easy for me to start? I appreciate any help!!!
I just ordered the next darker shade. The light shade works for me but the coverage in tint is almost non-existent. Still a good face sunscreen, its thicker than cera-ve ultra light but thinner than drmtlgy - but I think it has about the same staying power as the drmtlgy.
I’m gonna try it as soon as my current vitamin c runs out! Looks promising. Also, Walgreens’ price for the cerave one is a lot more expensive than amazon and walmart, it looks like
I like the Dove fragrance free soaps and Cerave! Many of the brands you have in the US we can't find in Canada. If you can find them which is rare for some brands they are often double the price. Many of the products I have my eye on but I will never be able to find them here.
I use the Dove sensitive bar for showering and love it. No scent to trigger my allergies and it helps my dry skin. Good to hear you like it too. As a quilter I was introduced to Bag Balm to help with finger skin issues. It helps quickly heal after needle sticks and is great in all uses like Vaseline. I bought a tin once, used often and that tin lasted years!
Hi Dr. Dray I’ve recently been binge watching ur videos and you’ve already taught me so so much. I want to thank you for teaching us all and helping us and our health :)))
I used to use dove until I found they test on animals. Is there another brand dupe for the dove sensitive skin soap. I did not know you shouldn't use antibacterial soap. First time viewing your channel.
English is not my first language. When you were looking at Dove body washes and said "Sea minerals" I heard "semen rolls" and was very confused for few moments haha :D
Happy Wednesday Dr. Dray!! Thank You So Much for Taking Us Along!! It's Always a Treat, for You to Review New Products!! Have a Wonderful Day!! Love and Blessings Always!!🙏🌹🕊🙏
Hi Jackie! Happy Wednesday!! I hope all is well with you and I hope you had a fantastic day. I had another very long day and a cup of tea is sounding good right now. And kitty cuddles too, of course. Unusually warm today. Enjoy your evening and have sweet dreams. Peace, blessings and joy to you, my sweet friend. ☕🐈🕊☕🐈🙏❤
I use and love Aveeno baby eczema therapy moisturizing cream as a face moisturizer. It has very minimal yet effective ingredients but contains benzalkonium chloride. Should I discontinue use because of this? Please advise!
Can you recommend a face mask or thick face cream for extra dry flaking skin on my face. My skin is so tight and dry. (In the uk) Thank you very much for your help ❤
About the comment regarding benzoyl peroxide, I haven't heard of this brand or its marketing but I understand where they may get it from. When I finally discovered BP 10 years ago, I was using it religiously because it was the first thing to banish my acne. But my undereye area looked a lot older at 23 at the time, BP dried me out. I realize the problem wasn't BP but the fact I didn't know about hydrating toners and didn't moisturize enough, didn't wear sunglasses or regular glasses so I was squinting all the time...I did use spf luckily. :) So I think misuse and other factors while on BP can seem to give an ageing effect, but it's important to note that this depends on the rest of the routine and lifestyle, not to blame everything on an amazing ingredient.
BP (or BPO) is excellent but it's a little drying so you really need to use moisturizer and a sunscreen regularly when on it. The misinterpretation of data like she said in the video is so common even among health professionals. I was just at a conference last year and this old male OBGYN-slash-integrative med doctor gave "ten toxic skincare ingredients" it was terrible. He used sources like the EWG and claimed benzoyl peroxide is harmful. What an idiot. My experience is a lot of misinterpretation and BS us used by functional and integrative practitioners.
100% 👆 I avoided it for years, but now that I know how to use humectants, emollients, & occlusives, it's fantastic for preventing armpit odor without irritation, seems to be keeping my carbuncle dormant, clears bacne & buttne spots, & ofc the occasional face pimple (I'm 52 & have very dry skin, luckily acne is mostly over for me). I'm still on the same small $4 tube as in December, it takes the place of both deodorant, foot odor products, and pimple/ingrown hair treatments.
Walgreens also has the store brand of the refining serum from the CeraVe Acne line. I got it almost a week ago. It’s too early to tell if it’s just as good. But I haven’t had any bad reactions. I hope it’s just as good cuz it’s cheaper.
@@db-gb5xi Thank you, I did see something a year or so ago when researching her videos I just wasn't sure currently what she thought of the Buffet one.
The original scent of Dove will always remind me of my Aunt. There was always a bar of it in her bathroom. It always smelled of Dove. She recently passed away, and that smell will always make me think of her. ❤❤
You know times are tough when they’re locking up the body wash 😂
I know right; I was watching the beginning of this video thinking holy crap they lock the body wash up
I was shocked to see the toothpaste locked up a few months ago at my Walgreens. Sad.
It’s because states have been letting out criminals in the name of social justice
That’s what I was thinking 😂
I was wondering where she was. I know they do that in San Francisco & Portland. I really worry for my grandchildren 🤦🏼♀️

Hi Dr. Dray. I am home with covd. I feel awful. I'm drinking lots of water and Body Armor sports drinks while I watch you. You're comforting me. FYI
Sorry to hear that! Feel better soon

Thanks for going to different places to tell us what to buy. Other wise we stand and look not knowing what to buy.
I love the CeraVe Vitamin C Serum. It is gentle on my rosacea-prone skin. My face is brighter when I use this product.
I feel like for a lot of people the biggest problem with BP is how it bleaches your towels and sheets. That’s fine for a teenager but as an adult my linens are too expensive for that
The cleanser doesn’t bleach for me and I’ve tried several
That sounds too good to be true! Love our shopping trips & what you help me find out! TFS!🥰
Thanks for watching!
Bag balm/mushers secret are fantastic for pressure callouses and covering pads from road salt burn in dogs 🤷♀️
I’d be cautious of using it in your pets. The ingredients can upset their stomach at the very least, especially if they lick their paws. Vaseline is a great alternative. ;)
I use the dove sensitive skin body wash so hopefully it hasn’t changed too much.
I just read and saw pictures of Olaplex users who are losing their hair. Article also mentioned a class action lawsuit!
One of my favorite scents is Dove soap.
You know we're living through strange times when they're locking up the Dove soap in Walgreens.
I thought I was the only one that noticed 😳
Probably because she's in the city. Houston is pretty bad. That's why I live in the burbs.

How do we get FSA?? I always see it pop up when I checkout on Walgreens online but idk what it is or if I should get it??
@@nicoleayala4153 you get it through your health insurance at work if they offer it
@@nicoleayala4153 It would be something you may be offered through your health insurance plan. Not sure if all plans offer this benefit.
@@f.g1228 Well in the long run we do pay for it. It just comes out of your paycheck most likely; its just very convenient.
THANK YOU!
Thanks Doc!! You are a Diamond in the Ruff!! 🫶🏾
So you're saying only black people should have access to it? I don't see how it's a tricky subject. Anyone should have the right to buy a product.
@@itsgonnabeanaurfromme Did you not read what I said? Because I did not say what you're implying.
@@itsgonnabeanaurfrommethat’s not what they said bestie
I feel like anyone should be able to shop the African product section though even if it was there
Walgreens is my favorite place. Mine in houston doesn't have those locks so other ones may be easier to film at.
I appreciate any help!!!
my newest obsessions are the neutrogena pure screen mineral sunscreen + the vanicream vitamin c serum. love love love!
Thank you for this video. In a future video can you discuss Ellacore and the pros and cons of this treatment?
I LOOOOOOVVVEEEEE it when you do these types of videos👏👏👏👏👏👏#SoHelpful #UrTheBest💯
I just ordered the light shade of the Neutrogena Sunscreen, I heard it's fine under makeup. Amazon has this for under 16.00.
I just ordered the next darker shade. The light shade works for me but the coverage in tint is almost non-existent. Still a good face sunscreen, its thicker than cera-ve ultra light but thinner than drmtlgy - but I think it has about the same staying power as the drmtlgy.
I never knew Walgreens made their version of the cerave vitamin c. It’s a lot cheaper so I’m definitely going to pick that up
Meeee toooo! Worth a try 🙌🏻
Saw it yesterday next to Cerave, decided to pick it up and try it. Hope it works.
keep me posted if you try it
@@BuffyNoir140 Keep me posted, too!
Thanks for watching
Andrea. Love your IT girl makeup application.
English IS my first language and I heard the same thing! 😂
yeah! That would confuse me too!
Me too!
Dr Dray! Can you do recommendations for an alternative to Vanicream Z Bar!!! Supply chain issues have stopped production. Heeeeeeeeeeelp lol
Yea they said it’s supposed to come back in February
Happy Wednesday Dr. Dray. Here for class.
Dang! I'm going to have to try those walgreens version of the cerave products. Thanks for another great video!
I love your videos. I learn so much. Thanks so much
Bag Balm, I grew up using this on my horse, I would buy it at the Tack Shop.
Loved using Bag Balm on my dry hands many years ago!!
Thanks so much for all your amazing knowledge.❤😊❤
Happy Wednesday Dr Dray...see you tomorrow x🤩💙
Dr. Dray, every sunscreen I try breaks me out horribly. I have dry skin but it’s sensitive, apparently! Any recommendations?
Good morning doctor 🌄
Have a beautiful day
Dr. Dray what do you think of goat milk soaps? Thank you for all that you do❤
Great video doc! Does Hibiclens ( Chlorhexidine ) cause anti bacterial resistance?

Unusually warm today. Enjoy your evening and have sweet dreams. Peace, blessings and joy to you, my sweet friend. ☕🐈🕊☕🐈🙏❤
I use and love Aveeno baby eczema therapy moisturizing cream as a face moisturizer. It has very minimal yet effective ingredients but contains benzalkonium chloride. Should I discontinue use because of this? Please advise!
Oh. I didn’t know this. I’m going to have to check mine now
Wwwhhhaaaaattt?? Why would they do that? Good catch
Can you recommend a face mask or thick face cream for extra dry flaking skin on my face. My skin is so tight and dry. (In the uk)
Thank you very much for your help ❤

@@standdownrobots_ihaveoldglory it's a lifesaver if used correctly!
You’re not supposed to put it near the eye area
Wow...The Dove products behind the plexiglass is a sign of the times :(
Walgreens also has the store brand of the refining serum from the CeraVe Acne line. I got it almost a week ago. It’s too early to tell if it’s just as good. But I haven’t had any bad reactions. I hope it’s just as good cuz it’s cheaper.
Good morning, Dr. Dray ❤

Morning!
Bought the Aveeno Sooth and Protect and it is SUPER casty. Feels great, looks horrible. I can only use it at home.
Have you reviewed the new Neutrogena Retinol Pro + ?
necessities like soap, baby formula having to be locked says a lot about our society

Dr. Dray thank you for giving us an update on these products. What are your thoughts on The Ordinary Buffet?

@@db-gb5xi Thank you, I did see something a year or so ago when researching her videos I just wasn't sure currently what she thought of the Buffet one.
Dr. Dray did you see that Elf came out with a retinol serum? I saw it at Target the other day and it's about $22. Would love to know your thoughts!
