The whole textual history of the Quran is a complete mess... Quran is essentially...... a very questionable hadith, written by men.. distributed in 30+ versions. Even if they only had one, it would still be a mess, as it's Uthman's word, claiming those are Mohammad's followers words, who claim those were Mohammad's words, who claims it's Jibreel's words, who claims it's Allah's words. Total mess. How can anyone find this 100% reliable is beyond me.

So, it says "qul" (say), so Allah (allegedly) orders Mohammed to speak now.
And then this sentence is spoken:

From which perspective is this verse spoken?

Interpretation, Quran chapter 18, The Cave:
Allah, The Beneficent The Merciful, mentions:
84-Surely, we gave him great power on earth, and gave him the means to all things.
85- So with these he travelled a course.
86-Until, when he reached the setting point of the sun, he found it setting in an eye-like or spring of hot dark mud, and he found near it some people. We said, "O Dhul-Qarnayn, you have our authority to judge them.
87-He responded, “Whoever does wrong will be punished by us, then will be returned to their Lord, Who will punish them with a horrible torment
88-As for those who believe and do good, they will have the finest reward, and we will assign them easy commands.
89-He travelled on.
90-To the east where he found the sun rising upon a people for whom we had provided no shelter from it.
91-(He left them) as they were: We completely understood what was before him.
What is extraordinary about the above verses?
Discovery: last sun setting (latest sun setting) and last sun setting (location). Quran mentions the two sun settings in the above verses.
Verse 90 mentions a nation where they experience 24 hours of day light. The latest sun setting occurs in the Arctic Circle. At midnight, a few miles to the south of the Antarctic Circle, the Sun will shine all day long. It will approach the horizon at midnight, but it will not quite touch it.
The second nation is located at the border line that separates the day from the next. Day here refers to moon day which begins at sunset. Open Google search engine and type: Where does the sun set last (location)? You will get Samoa, and from March the result of the google search will give you Samoa and Hawaii. Samoa and Hawaii are classified as hotspot in the field of geology. So, dark hot muddy eye-like pool most likely means located in a place of lava springs. To be honest, I already want to challenge the opening statement. What is a "book"? Is a birthday card a book? Is a recipe a "book"? Is a book a book by virtue of its physical form (in which case there are may Korans but Allah wrote none of them) or its contents. Come to think of it, since we know from the OT that God could physically write, why *didn't* Allah write the first Koran instead of passing it through two unreliable intermediaries (the being posing as Gabriel and the sex-crazed "prophet")? Isa book still a book if it has sections inserted by someone else and entire chapters are missing? What does "an author" mean? If a computer generates grammatical text at random, was it the author? If a computer generates grammatical and meaningful text, expressing what would have been a coherent thought had a human said it, is the computer the author? (I am thinking here of actual work on text generation from databases. The sentences are grammatical, meaningful, and true if the data in the database are correct. But they do not express a thought any human or spiritual being ever had before.) Does a collection of books (like the Bible) have *an* author? Does a book written by a committee like the IPCC reports have *an* author? What if the author's parts (assuming the committee to be the author) do not agree, so that every part of the book is denied by some part of the author? If, as the Documentary Hypothesis states, there were four documents written by four different authors J, E, P, and D, most of whom knew nothing of the others, and then someone came along and smushed them into five books, who is the author? We know from the Traditions that at least one verse of the Koran was changed by one of Mohammed's scribes. Did Allah remain the author of that part, or was the scribe the author? Or since Mohammed approved the change, was he the author? If you issue an edited collection of letters between, say, Dr Fraud and Dr Fleece, who is the author? Dr Fraud is certainly not the author of the words written by Dr Fleece. Dr Fleece is certainly not the author of the words written by Dr Fraud. If the editor wrote any of the word attributed to Fraud or Fleece, he is a very dishonest editor indeed, so *he* isn't the author either.

As a result, Jewish polemics in the Muslim world tended to be limited to oral discourse, and when written
they were often expressed indirectly or written in code.33 Muhammad’s name, for example, is rarely found in
Jewish writings about Islam, nor the word, “Qur’an.” And while Jews living in the Muslim world wrote mostly
in Arabic, the alphabet used was usually Hebrew, which was rarely learned by Muslims. Perhaps the most
popular strategy for defending Jewish integrity while attacking opponents was through the production of oral
“counter-histories,”34 and one such counter-history is a series of stories dating from the early Middle Ages
about how it was not God but actually Jews who wrote the Qur’an and gave it to Muhammad. In the course of
their writing the Qur’an, those Jews embedded within it certain hints in order to prove that it did not come
from God.
This story seems to have originated as an oral counter-narrative that retells the traditional Muslim story
of Muhammad, Gabriel and the revelation of the Qur’an to an entirely different end.35 It is difficult to prove
the existence let alone the pervasiveness of oral literature, but a series of stories can be found in a wide range
of Jewish sources in a variety of languages and representing a broad geographic and chronological spread that
tell the same basic counter-history to the standard Islamic history of the emergence of Islam. Examples of the
basic narrative derive from parts of the Arabic-speaking Muslim world and from southern European areas that
were in close commercial relationship with the Muslim world (Spain, Italy, Greece). The earliest to date are
10th century Hebrew and Arabic manuscripts from the Cairo Geniza, which served as a repository for
thousands of Jewish writings from throughout the Mediterranean basin.36 Some versions of the story are still
living oral tales conveyed in Farsi.37The ten written versions contain aspects that reveal an oral provenance
through repeated oral-style discourses and types of variation that suggest orality.
The earliest versions are embedded in larger works, and the fragments located thus far do not tell a
complete story, but we know the thrust of the narrative from later, fuller renderings to which they can be
compared.38 An early Hebrew fragment from the Cairo Geniza recounts that ten Jewish elders (zeken¯ ¯ım)
befriend Muhammad “and made for him the Qur’an.”39 Four of the elders’ names are given, and they include
Abdullah ibn Salam. Recall that in the traditional Islamic narrative, Abdullah ibn¯ Salam was the Jewish scholar
who immediately joined with Muhammad and denounced his fellow¯
Jews as liars for knowing but denying the truth of his prophethood. In this counter-history, however,

The Quran is the thoughts and ideas of Muhammad. The book is not from God. Quran 5:116 claims that the Christian Trinity is Allah, Jesus & Mary. of Jewish scripture. Jews in the Muslim world suffered from the persistent claim that Jewish scripture had been

There is no way Muhammad wrote the Qur'an period, if he was illiterate. As I don't believe Muhammad was illiterate-proof being he was a camel trade leader which would require knowledge of a few different languages, how they were written and spoken, and he would have to keep ledgers of goods traded and sold. Qur'an was a compilation of many authors in my opinion which I formed by reading Qur'an finding variations on different themes, and quotes without order making no timeline and sounding confused. There is absolutely NO Qur'an from Muhammads time, therefore he didn't write it.
