The Coolest Steiger-Craft You've Never Heard of (and, it's NOT a Fishing Boat)!

- There are many things considered sacrilegious in the fishing/boating world like bringing bananas on a boat. In Long Island, telling a boater that there's a Steiger-Craft "picnic" boat out there would likely draw laughs and looks of confusion.
But don't say that to my fellow Long Islander Max, who generously showed me his beautiful picnic boat-style 2019 Steiger-Craft Nantucket 255DV.

That Boat house and Steiger is awesome. From the outside it looks like your stepping back in time to 1900. The cedar shake siding classic white windows thankyou to the owner for restoring that boathouse.
Very cool boat and boathouse. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Love unique boats like this!! What a cool set up and the shop is amazing. Loved the video. John you do a great job on your boat reviews!
beautiful boat
Very interesting Steiger-Craft boat John! I grew up in Amityville on the Great South Bay, so I am familiar with that water way. Me and my brother would take our 16' Garvey out on the bay most days during the summer. I have very fond memories of fishing that whole area. Those were the good old days! 👍👍🐟🐟
John as you know I picked up a new 255 this yr, coming from a CC it took a bit to get used to, after 110 hrs I am really starting to love this boat. It definitely likes a lot of tab and helps with the economy. Typically 1.8-2.3 at 38-4200 rpm depending load.
I prefer steiger over parker. But that Parker CC you showed the other day is a fishing machine, a true beauty John. Ty for sharing
Fabulous boat! I would totally own one!
PERFECT BOAT. I love the boat as well. We don't fish much, maybe 5-10% but do like to go grabbing. Primarily run to islands and places to eat. A 31 Miami boat version would be perfect for us.
Hoooraay, it's a STEIGER review finally! 😉
Thats a near perfect bay boat. On a day like that if you were going for the day you would head east out toward Bellport. You could tuck in right behind Nicolls Point and have lunch. The boat certainly wouldnt look out of place!
Awesome boat!
Beautiful boat for a great price.
Looks like you came out of Patchogue river. My home town. I have the 26 Shamrock and need to smack through the waves on a regular basis. Beautiful Boat.
Yes, good eye!
Excellent video
I love American Pickets. They are very sceptical of picking anything to do with Boats. It’s a tough market to predict.
Cool boat house…looks like a nice area …not sure about the winters lol (south Texas we don’t have winters)
Yes you do
WHOA NELLY
$100 nobody from Ohio fell into the water. Max tells more fibs than me… Cool boat and set up
I believe him not you
@@letsgomets002 I will sell you Brooklyn bridge for $100. Today only
Man I would hate to see what they have to do when a hurricane or high water comes. Cool boat house tho
I was watching your video on slow pitch rods vs fast action rods and I use the skinner method on my slow pitch slim wave and somehow still get action and catch a bunch of fluke from the surf is that normal?
Not really but if it works, keep doing it!
That’s a Block Island. I had a Steiger 21 new in 2002 👎🏻 sorry.
