- We went on a Drive with 4 Supercars/High performance cars in Lagos to see if these cars can survive on Lagos Roads and the possibility of owning these cars in Lagos Nigeria.
On this drive we have an AUDI R8, BMW M4, JAGUAR F-type and a Lexus LC500 driving around Lagos, Nigeria.

It's cool to know you were part of those people I saw on that Sunday morning. I drove behind you guys from northwest to third mainland bridge until you guys suddenly zoomed off leaving my slow Avalon behind😂. I'm a car lover too and I'm into photography and videography, is it possible we we do jobs together sometimes?
My favorite is the LC500 like c'mon the looks alone is breath taking come to talk of the engine performance
Lagos is not a city for super cars you go just dey brutalise the car, unruly road users everywhere . You can't even feel the full power packed under your hood. Once you put your foot to pedal one random korope will appear out of nowhere.
Those things just take the already tiresome experience of driving to another level of frustration. Maruwa and Bikes included.
Not necessarily, these cars can some what take a beating, as long as you do the maintaining

@@theplugscenes Ahh, those guys, lol. They weave between other vehicles like a needle through fabric. I don’t even know which to pity more, they themselves or the owners of the items in their delivery boxes.

These cars can be tested to their max potential on Sagamu-Abeokuta expressway 😌. The road is good as there are no potholes on it. I can testify to that because I almost hit 160km/h on the road with a muscle😌
Hmm... 160kph is no big deal for ANY car really. These cars averages 4 seconds 0-60mph. The "buck toothed" M4 (BMW) does around 0-100 kph in 3 seconds if properly launched !!
The spider (4 cyl.) takes about 9 sec. to 100kph. Even 2 seconds is an eternity in car racing my bro. So do the maths. Many of these cars are designed for track use (listen to Crank again) not even open road and you need above average driving skills to tame the horses. Sagamu/Abeokuta road stretch will still leave you wanting more in these machines.

The LC 500 does look good but compared in performance terms with the M4 or the R8 V10, I'm afraid it's more mouth than trousers....

I don't think I will like to buy a super car in Nigeria , for me I'd rather do the Range and the G.wagons that can survive the portholes and rough roads and still delivery on speed and stability , but having said that if I was to choose I will go for the Audi, just because I love the Audi and I have always dreamed of owning one . Only the Audi Spider can be classified as a S car, it's only that Audi that has its Spoiler at the rear, and it's earodynamic body to ease drag and that's what shows a performance car, wherever that Audi negotiate a very sharp bends with the speed of 150km/h, the rest must not try it. The rest are just sport cars and not super cars.
Secondly, Lagos roads are still ok for those cars but only at night or on a closed road, even you can still turn those cars to off-roads meaning on a dirty roads, they will still perform but not with those R18 tires, even at those low profile tires, they can still perform, cos they all come with independent wheels and absorbers, that won't make you feel those bumps and the engine bay is protected underneath with metal plates. They're good cars with high Torque and powerful engines that can pull a Dangote loaded cement truck.

My question is do they sell premium fuel (or high octane gasoline) in Nigeria? You need premium fuel for these cars to properly function.
Excellent timing, I’ve been wondering how they cope with the need for premium fuel. Do they all use octane boosters? Is it sustainable long term?

I have a car that requires only premium fuel and I'm coughing out a lot on octane booster at the moment. Almost 180k in 2 months goes to importing original octane boosters cos the ones available in Nigeria are fake.

I'm afraid you're mistaken. 0-60 mph might be identical for the M4 and the R8V10 but once that Audi gets into its stride the M4 is toast. The Audi gets to 140 mph in 16.2 seconds while the Beemer manages 19.6 secs. Three full seconds plus. Then the Audi runs to a delimited top speed of 196mph compared with 186 mph for the M4.
So the fastest car there is actually the Audi R8 V10, and decisively so. To trouble it with something from Bavaria you'll need to get an M5 or M6...

BMW designs are always my favorite but the Audi R8 has just sat well with me since I saw it in video games. Handling was very good in all video games that I've played that featured the car.

Nice cars but those cars are not supercars, they are sports cars. The Audi R8 used to be considered as a supercar few years back but it's not anymore as these sport cars keep gaining more horsepower generation after generation. For example the Audi RS3 and Mercedes A45s make 400bhp or more and are much faster than some of the cars featured on the video, but they are sports cars.
Price for the Porsche
The Speed of the cars is 0-60 mph not km/h . The 60mph is about 100km/h.
Otherwise the video was awesome.

@@gregoryeke5758 I would be all over audi like white in rice, if they didn't cap there HP and NM of torque at 600 and 800 respectively. You have to tune yours to get more power. Its sucks tbh.

The Audi R8 is supposed to be the fastest because is a V10
The R8 uses only a naturally aspirated engine. These days modern manufacturers add turbos, superchargers and electric motor to boost power to incredible levels despite using smaller engines like V6, 4 or 3 cylinder engines

@@bruce8474 This shows you know nothing about cars. For example the latest Porsche 911 Turbo S uses a turbocharged flat 6 engine and most naturally aspirated V10 can't hold a candle next to it. These days the trend is to use less cylinders while achieving the same power or more and being more far more economical. The latest Mercedes A45s uses a turbocharged 2 litre 4 cylinder making 425bhp, it will run circles round most naturally aspirated V6 and V8 cars
@@gollytosky5608 4 cylinder engine on not a strong engine o I have driven a car with 4 cylinder engine we have to tow the car because the ring got broke why the V8 I have driven has not given me any issues with that the higher the cylinder the stronger the engine.

@@bruce8474 The Bugatti even with its 16cylinders (twin V8) has 4 massive turbochargers and that's how it has enormous power. Most powerful cars these days are either turbocharged or supercharged or electrified with an electric motor
