YT MTB views and hype is dying off more lately simply becuase the way the market has gone in last 2 years, it has priced the newer rider out.. or even as far as stopping current riders from buying new bikes.. You lose interest in things you cant afford. People are only shown 10k super bikes that presenters are given. The hardtail quest is a great series showcasing the capability of that style of bike.

It's not just that, it's that most of what can be done has been done at this point. In the older days when we watched sitcoms on TV it was the same way...there's only so long you can stretch out the content.
i had 2 of my bikes stolen during covid. i got so upset anytime i even seen a bike so i had to delete all my mtb channels for a while, now theres nothing to watch

He's at the point of the turn when you become a father of your Children, and the relevant of it. It is just because the children needs their family time, they'll get more independent when they will grow, and he will be back on full business in a couple years, those of us who are parents know that it is so
Viewer since 2018, recently i lost connection with seth’s channel. Videos just didn’t hit the same, didn’t like the style. But this felt like an old Seth’s bike hacks video, even the music. It made me happy. Point is even if these videos don’t get many views, these videos are still awesome to some of us, even if you did one a year your fan base would love it. Anyway Keep up the work seth
Yeah I read that one too and was bummed, but can understand that pandemic life probably shifted people's focus to projects like this. While outside of that reality, most of us have far more trail options, and less money to build micro obsession projects like this at home. I loved the pump track build though and hope he's not completely through with trails.

I disliked because I support him. I think he should continue videos because he acknowledges the cheaper bikes that are making attempts to build nice bikes with his opinions on how to better them.
Weird. I thought this guy was bankrolled by Diamondback. I mean, all of these videos (not just Seth) are just commercials. Seems like the advertising budget got shifted now that people aren't willing to overpay for bikes because of a fake shortage. Man lives outside of Brevard in a mountain biking mecca. Hats off to the well manicured content but eventually these YT channels become like the 3rd season of any series based on time travel. Seth is 38 or so...I bet his knees hurt.

He is going to focus on what his audience wants. This changes over time naturally. I personally miss the trail builds. And I feel a little click baited right now….😮

Even from a viewer’s point of view, making trail riding interesting is difficult. You need to be a really good rider or have another thing that you are making a video on. For example Skills with Phil is a great rider and the Hardtaill quest series, yes there is riding, but you are talking about a bike at the same time, that makes the video a lot more interesting then just riding.
Sometimes I'll have the standard trail riding videos on in the background as background noise haha. But I agree I'd love to find news ways to mix it up. MTB is getting forgotten about since 2020
I’ve been watching Seth’s videos for 7 years. I’m still a fan and watch all of his videos for the most part but it’s becoming a bit of a turn off when he complains about low views. Like dude, you’re living a much better life than majority of us, you do you but don’t be making us feel bad if we don’t find everything you make (especially recently, when the content seems very randomly inconsistent) even the top tv shows lose viewers after awhile, and even The Office has episodes we skip. Not the first time I’ve shared similar feedback and I’m not trying to sound like a broken record. I want him to live his best life I just don’t want to be made to feel guilty if I don’t watch a video right away (or at all).
I have also experienced lower views. Kinda figuring that it's just low across the board for MTB. But I agree there's a fine line when it comes to bringing it up and I try not to do that with IG stories or even in the video
