    Oreos only in my house. I’ve had the Hydrox cookie before and maybe the name was throwing me off but they don’t taste the same. That was a limited edition factory error Oreo btw. Could sell it on EBay for some good $$$.

      @@DirkWerning, probably for the same reason you buy Hydrox knockoffs: price. That carbon mini bugout is over $320. I have played around with one of the clones a friend bought. The steel isn't great and it needs to be disassembled to apply thread lock on all of the screws. But for the price it is a pretty awesome knife.

      @@DirkWerning I have a extra deep carry clip in my Osborne. The extra length it clips into my pocket basically snaps over the double layer stitched Jean over my pocket entrance. The screws and clip snap over that Jean leaving the double stitch area in the deep carry area of the clip.
      Best I can describe it. I never come close to losing my knife, even with fall prtection on.

    I know I'm gonna break everybody's heart here but, I am not a bugout fan. I own the Contigo. I daily carry the Freak. I am a Benchmade fan. But hold on a minute. They want 300 bones for this thing? Ridiculous. Let me ask you something bro, did that feel like a $300 knife? It sure doesn't look the part.

    Hard pass on the Hydrox. I remember them, but what a weird name for a cookie. Sounds more like a prescription drug. Also, double stuffs are strictly for sugar maniacs. I'll take regs.

    Everyone commenting that this is a $300 knife and this and that... I bought a first production run from an authorized dealer for $219 shipped to my house. Idk where you all are shopping but you can find way better deals on these. Of course you gotta watch for fakes but look through authorized dealers only. for $219, you cant beat this. s90v carbon fiber!

    For someone who never owned bugout...i suggest to try it first in person before they buy the mini. Bcos in my humble opinion...the mini is just too small for adult! Trust me on this. And the full size bugoit imo is the perfect size for most people. Some really big hand guy even think is still just a tad too small for them. So for normal XL hand i think regular bugout is just perfect.

    • @DirkWerning
      @DirkWerning  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I tend to agree. The mini is certainly too small and the standard is about right. I would love to see an XL version Bugout though.

    • @galacticcaveman4045
      @galacticcaveman4045 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Non-sense. The mini bug out is almost identical to the size of a swiss army knife. As an EDC i cannot think of a better size. Just because you have big hands doesn't mean you have to walk around with a folding machite in your pocket.

    Being a first production knife with no number is rather pointless and just something else on the blade. And a first production on a 3rd revision even makes far less sense.. My gold class knives have a number in a series which means something I guess. But to be point blank I buy the gold class for its materials and could do without all the stuff on the blades. Especially on knives with damascus .
    There are only two Bugouts I would consider. The black carbon fiber and damascus and the titanium with blue accents and damascus .
    Benchmade is making a killing off of the bugouts and their prices are starting to show they know this. The basic yucky bugouts have risen in price which makes no sense. Especially when you consider how many of those buyers put aftermarket scales and spacers along with pocket clips and screws on them. Buy a knife for $150.00 then dump another $250 into it and expect people to buy your second hand Bugout for $350.00 or more.
    Each to their own I suppose.

    The butterfly price adds hundreds of dollars to the price of a $30.00 knife , for no reason but greed !
    They are all Chinese cnc machine clones , even the so called American made ! But the Chinese don't put a rip off price on a knife like benchmade does ! The steel hype ! I priced the steel the size for a folding knife blade was $20.00 , not $200.00 !
