I think almost all comedians in any form do this... Or even just having humor at all it's mostly self deprecating.
I once had a first date at a wave pool.
As soon as we got there the waves started up and I was *so* excited to get in.
He was confused and straight asked "Wait, you're actually gonna swim?"
When I said yes and pointed out we were at a pool, this man straight admitted he thought I wanted to go to show off in a bikini because "that's what post girls (he) dated did." He'd never actually swum on a swimming date!
When I did convince him to get in, he would get back out every few minutes and insist I watch him do some trick dive in.
All I wanted to do was swim like merpeople in a storm and this boy really just expected us to sit around and stare at each other.

When Kris gives her compliments I always feel better about myself for a second, but when she commented about my hands it hit different. I've had an extreme case of eczema my entire life, causing my hands to be wrinkley and dry. I was bullied for it in school, and I've always hated my hands. I've always just wanted "normal hands"
Now that I'm older I'm fine with them, but I just wanted to say thank you Kris. It's a very strange thing that probably only affected me, but it made my day.

I’m a heavy sleeper, like a security guard couldn’t wake me up, I went to the nurse because of me sleeping. So yeah 😂
Kris is so hilarious. Talking about being a heavy sleeper, my family and I were at Disneyland and staying in a hotel there. One night, the fire alarm went off, and everyone evacuated, including my aunt, uncle and cousins. They were freaking out trying to text us, but we wouldn’t reply. My mom remembers hearing the faintest sound of the sentence, “You can go back to your rooms now.” My sister and I wake up and find out that we all slept through a fire alarm, and didn’t hear a thing. That’s how heavy we sleep.

Got a story of my own to share;
I was on an overnight boat trip with my family, and my brother and I were on the top bunks, which meant my ear was centimetres away from the PA speaker.
In the morning, the speaker loudly announced that breakfast was being served and/or we were nearly at our destination (I really don't remember what I was told it said), but I managed to sleep through it while my entire family was woken up by it.
Now I vary between being a light sleeper and a heavy sleeper depending on when I fall asleep lmao

As a heavy sleeper, once when I just move to new house, my bookshelves were empty and i woke up, saw my bookshelves on the ground like fell. And I watch the cctv and I saw 3 of my cats were running and jumping on top of the bookshelves and it fell. I never heard any noise 😂
