Apologies for the delay in response. But that drop is maybe an 8-10 foot drop, with many options to scale it. If you can climb a ladder, you could scale the drop.
From the parking lot, we hiked the entire length of Wire Pass till it hit the Buckskin Wash. We did hike about 10 mins down Buckskin, but hit a huge mud hole, at which time we opted to head back. The entire length in and out came to approx 4.6 miles. We sat and ate our lunch, which took the entire hike time to about 2 1/2 hours. Actual walking time was only 1 hour 44 mins, so it makes a GREAT day hike.

You pay at the trail head at parking. Ranger comes by and checks everything. $6 per person
