I'd say to go down half a size so if you're a true size 9, it would be an 8.5. For the AF1 I actually go down from a 9.5 to an 8.5 because I like them snug. Like I said in the video, I was able to go to the Atmosphere pop-up way back in October 2019 and while looking at these and speaking to a rep working the floor, they had advised these fit a bit bigger and to size down by half a size. So I kept that in mind when I ordered them a few weeks back and that was the right advice because these fit me comfortably with still a tiny bit of room in the toe area (because it is narrow in that area). So this is just my experience and what was once advised to me, to size down by half, so for you that would a EU40.5/EU7.5. That's not to say the 8 won't work for you though depending on how you enjoy your pair on-foot. Alternatively, though it's not ideal, if these fit big you could add an additional insole to make up for the gap. I'd say these are comfortable but not the best for all day wear if you're putting a lot of miles on running errands -- probably more of an occasional wear for me, if that makes sense. The fit on feet I'd say is a little roomy even if you go TTS because there isn't much padding on the interiors of the uppers and the toe box is narrow. So you'll find a tiny bit of extra room around your toes. Because the materials are light on the uppers, I think it should be flexible for those with wider feet, and as they break in they'll get even better. Excellent quality materials for sure! These only come in whole sizes so you can only go half size down or up if your normal size is a half size. If you're a 10 there is no 9.5
