Disturbing how well these brake. Have a set on a Ford Taurus SHO. It hauls a 4500 lb to a stop incredibly well. Not to mention that the bedding in process will make you physically ill! Great product- 100% recommended
These have improved braking on the b9 Audi A4. Red stuff for life on my daily driver. Just wouldn’t fit anything else now. Thanks for such a awesome product. Yes they last long. Love it.

I can confirm the RED STUFF brake pads are a huge upgrade compared to OEM brakes. I had them on my Chrysler 300C . With stock brakes it could fade at high speed braking (200 km/h +) with REDSTUFF and EBC TURBO GROOVE brake discs I had much more brake power and they never faded. They are much more low dust then any other brake pads I have tried. A thing to get used to, is that REDSTUFF has a short warm up period when you brake. They brake as a OEM the first 0.5 second, then the force sets in
Got these on my Lancer evo X. Changed from the standard Brembo pads. These are great. Running with Godspeed J hook floating discs. Good combination and excellent brake feel/bite.
Had these years ago on a 2004 modified impreza sti and they were very good, aggressive but amazing brakes, came around a blind bend one day pulling almost 3 figures with a heard of escaped sheep in the road, the thing literally stood on its nose and still stopped short , was considering yellow stuff for my new car, stage 1 mk3 focus Rs,, now wondering which ones to go for
Hi, Redstuff does have a lower friction coefficient compared to the Yellowstuff so in terms of performance during spirited driving, Yellowstuff would be better. However, like mentioned in the video, Redstuff is a low dust pad. We do advise against using our Redstuff pad on the track. Thank you.
What’s the main difference between the red and green pads? And I have a 03’ Toyota Avalon. What color would you recommend I purchase for the roads in New York City?
Will the red stuff pads be recommended for a bmw m340i with the larger rotors package? Car is stock with 382hp. I do not track my car but do spirited driving occasionally. I’m focus on reduce rotor wear, low dust but increase braking performance. I live in a hot climate (South Florida).
@@EBCBrakesUK thank you. But I cannot find the part number for the yellow stuff pads for the 374mm front rotor option. I went with red stuff front and rear. I should be fine for general driving?
I just ordered these "red stuff" for my 2016 WRX and will be putting them on next week. Do I need to apply brake grease on the back of them before installing them?
I agree that the bite on these pads is excellent. I just upgraded from OEM pads on my Audi R8. I'm still seeing a lot of brake dust (after over 100 miles) but its reddish in color. Is this the coating that is wearing off, and once the pads are bedded in wheels will be much cleaner? Thanks in advance for your reply.
Hi, thanks for the comment. Yes, once the pads have bedded in, there will be much less dust. If you are still having issues with dust after the full bed in process, then drop an email to technical@ebcbrakesuk.com and they will be able to assist. Thank you.
In the video you reference the red pads are good for 200 to 250 "brake". I am not sure what that term means. Can you clarify? If you are referring to horsepower, that sounds low to me but I am in the U.S. so maybe the numbers differ? Thanks!
Oh really!? I was under the impression that redstuff was the more performance pad set. So my car makes about 550-600hp, and I like to use most of the horses, most of the time, lol... 😅. which pad set would best?
Any recommendations for calipers ? I'd like to buy your break pads but dont know what are the ones shown here (part number please). It is for a DODGE CHARGER RT 5.7 2007. I will buy them with red calipers if you could recommend some affordable ones please. Thank you
I see the red stuff pads are R90 approved, does this mean I don't need to inform my insurance company if I install since they conform to the OE performance?
Hi, there should be no requirement for E.U. customers to inform their insurance company following the fitment of R90-approved pads. If you have any further questions, please email technical@ebcbrakesuk.com. Thank you.
Confused now, the leaflet that came with my redstuff pads states 200 miles of urban driving and then 60mph to 20mph x 5 times to complete bedding. I'm on OEM discs , 30K miles on the discs with original VW OEM pads (7.5 GTI)
these pads are great, but even on the road i fade them way too easily, even easier than stock it feels like. i shouldve bought yellowstuff. the braking performance dropoff is sharp when they get too hot. what temperature do these typically fade at? is that even a valid question? or does it require an insanely technical answer?
im running them on a forester sg with the 4 pot calipers up front. i can cook them pretty reliably within a few minutes. considering moving to yellow and getting some cooling ducts on the disks. also, i should note, when they cool down, they return to being great brakes. im running drilled and grooved disks. i guess i must drive like a total arsehole or something.
I would recommend getting in touch with one of our technical team and they would be able to answer all of these questions and get you on the right set-up. Feel free to email them at < technical@ebcbrakesuk.com > Have a great day 👍
You sure you're not boiling your fluid ? That would make a lot of sense, higher friction from theupgraded pads introduce more heat and therefore you're gonna cook your fluid even faster than oem, that matches your description.
@@imnota theres a pretty good chance i am. You know something, i elected not to use the backing pads to increase brake feel. And hopefully dissipate more heat into the caliper and away from the pads. So you could be right. But apart from that, the pads are actually over heating, they start smoking, i get a drrrrrrr noise from them offgassing into the rotor grooves and then they smoke enough to sting my eyes a little in the car. So my fluid could be boiling, but honestly i think the pads are just not fit for purpose. I never had this issue with the oem pads and braing force was more consistent.
Has anyone been able to compare it to Brembo? Just curious to see how they are different... Which is better for hard braking. Spirited driver so I need great stopping power
I'm running just over 400bhp on my Evo X. These are the best pads I've fitted to it so far and I hammer the car. Will be fine for M4. Had Brembo pads on before the red stuff. Night and day difference. Will be fitting EBC on all my cars now.
I have a Fiat Uno Turbo slightly tuned, got drilled and grooved discs on the front and have white OZ Route wheels on them. I now have another brand on them but these pads not giving me the stopping power i want and they loose a lot of brake dust. Was thinking of getting greenstuff pads because cleaning white wheels is not great, but now that i see that red stuff gives even less brake dust, what would be the best option for me to go? Thank you in advance for the info.

I work as a mechanic and sometimes pads just squeal for seemingly no rhyme or reason. We use liqui moly brake anti-squeal paste. it's a very tacky, viscous paste, and does a great job of absorbing vibrations and quietening pads. I'd give it a shot, just pop the pads out and put a thin layer on the backs of the pads
