So if I understand correctly, even though the dependent section says my father should list all their children, he should only list the my mother who is dependent on him. He should not list me (the sponsor) or my siblings who are independent. Did I get it right?
Only the "dependent" children in IMM 0008, other children can be added in 5406

When they say "dependent" Children - who is missing or presumed dead - is also not a dependent then why they are saying to list them down?

1) If I get this form from the Form directory of the CIC website, it requires me to validate the form which results in showing a barcode. However, when I watched your video, you guided us to complete it in the Portal account where it does not ask for validation. Will there be an issue not validating the form?
2) I am representing my parents via sending imm 5476 where I enter my own email address in Section B- 7 of imm 5476. In IMM 0008, it asks for an email address under "Contact Information". Should I put my email (as their representative) in imm 0008 OR I shoul put in my mom's email who is the principal applicant?
Last, my mom has been a housewife in her whole life- only did some volunteer work for family charities etc. Never earned income. By any chance do you have a sample CV for a housewife?

Hi i have got invitation for my parents just wanted to know about selecting the province …. I’m in quebec and if i select Quebec they ask for CSQ otherwise they ask to apply. Can i select other province where my sister lives?
Technically they should arrive at your place in documents, what you can try with an explanation letter that you are sponsoring them and they want to live with other kid, it should be fine. OR just apply for CSQ, because you can apply before you will receive the CSQ document.

Obviously, in one application, my dad is a Principal Applicant and my mom is dependant.

For “Parents and Grandparents PR” you need to submit two applications through the Principal applicant's account:
1. By sponsor: which need to sign by hand “by Sponsor, Principal Applicant, and co-signer (If you have one)”
2. By Principal Applicant: Dad & Mom both will include in one application. One of them will act as Principal applicant and the other as a dependent. This will get filled out and signed electronically by the principal applicant only.

Why is it when I'm done saving it..the "Ready to submit" phrase did not appear opposite IMM 0008. I edited again the same n click completed..still the Ready to submit" did not appear. What seems to be the problem?
I did my IMM 5406 ..and when I saved and completed it...the Ready to submit status.opposite IMM5406 appeared twice.
It seems my IMM 0008 got mixed with my IMM 5406.
I'm ok wt the other 2 forms.

Hi, Miss. can I ask question? My mom has 5 children including me (sponsor), the first four daughters are over age 22, only the 5th one is in her 20. For this IMM0008 , I am going to sponsor dad & mom & one youngest sister. In the dependant section of this form. It said you “must provide all your children whether they come to Canada or not”. ( it really make me confused here). Then do I provide all of my other siblings information or just the three I intended to sponsor? Thanks in advance 🙏

It also says if you do not provide information about all dependent you won't be able to sponsor them at later date, my question is any child who's over the age of 22 and not married do we need to include them as well in IMM008? Because somehow they'll be sponsored to Canada at a latter date, I mean they can apply for PR at their own but they'll be claiming points for blood relation.@@CanadianCharisma
Hello! I am helping out my mother in filling up the application and and I am submitting Imm 5476 form but I want to put her mailing address (India) in imm 0008. But it says if you have a representative fill their mailing address and email. Can I can put her mailing address and my email? I hope this is not contradictory to form imm 5476.

My father has a 2-year program degree/diploma from university (also known as Associate degree) but none of the options applies to him. The options are
- None
- Secondary or less
- Trade / Apprenticeship certificate / Diploma
- Non-university certificate / Diploma
- Post-secondary - No degree
- Bachelor’s degree
- Post Graduate - No degree
- Master’s degree
- Doctorate - PhD
Do you have any idea which one best describes his education level?

@ 6:04 , while filling in the Residential Address and Mailing address - I prefer Mailing address to be Canada address (address of the sponsor) and Residential Address to be the India address (where Principal Applicant currently resides). Is that possible ?
You can, BUT IRCC will use email to correspondence with you throughout the processing, at the end if they assign the PR on passport physically ( means not online) then your parents will submit the passport and IRCC will send on given mailing address.

Hi, I am sponsoring my parents and filling in representative form to fill application on their behalf. My question is which mailing address should be given in this case mine (in Canada) or the parents one (in India). I am confused because in portal application it says if you are representative then give your mailing address details. Please help. Thank you
You can, but at the end if they need their passports physically to stamp them , they will get back on your address. So better to give parents address because you will all other correspondence electronically .

Thank you for the video. I have one question regarding question 12. If my mother visited Canada, 2-3 months per year for the past 5 years, should I say "yes" to this question? Are they asking cumulative 6 months in any given year or 6 months total in the past 5 years? She never stayed over 6 months in each year, but 2-3 months per year, 5 years together is over 6 months for sure. thank you!

I created online account for my parents. For the current address I would like to use my Canada Home address. Residence address I would like to use their current residence address in India. If that is the case, do I have to fill in the IMM-5476. Or to be a representative in IMM-5476, does one have to be licensed ? I selected that all the communication be sent to my email
You can help your parents as a representative, you do not have to be licensed for that. Yes you need to fill out IMM 5476; choose “friend or family member “ in Q. 6i.

thanks for helping , my mother is on visitor visa her visa was expired in sep01,2021 and i have applied for extension but on imm008 in depended section they asking residence country fron and to when i entered 2021/09/01 on to column it says date must be greater than today's date , so what date should i enter ?? please advise
Fill in the random date, around the time you are asking for extension ( if you applied 3 months extension, then put the date 3 months after form sep 01, if 6 months, then the date 6 months after Sep 01) submit an explanation letter with the application to explain your situation.

2. you need to fill out your forms on your computer and give them to your parents to upload them in their account

Can I create with my login and they can use my login ID and I can fill the form use of representative?
you can you two ways...
1. Create an email id for them and then create an account and help them to do everything
2. you can become their representative and do evrything on behalf of them, but they need to sign off the application.
hi my mother has lived with me in Canada for more than 6 months while adding her as a dependent on the primary applicant they ask for immigration status start and expiration what should i state their date of issue and expiration date or the duration of time when she was here?

You need to write your parents UCI number there. It is on the right-bottom of the visitor visa stamp.
First of all, Thank you so much for providing such detailed information. I am Candian Citizen and I do have an OCI card, do I need to provide an OCI document. As on my passport, I did travel to India with OCI (so the passport does have the stamps for arrival and departure) but it does not have a visa stamp from India as I carry OCI. please help
You need to provide only the passport pages showing the “Passport Number, date of issue and expiration, Photo, Name, Surname, Place, and date of birth.”

income,my income last 2018 is 40,943, 2019 is 55,432, 2020 is 47,544 and my wife income last 2020 is 5,606 she don't have income last 2018 and 2019,because that time she's not working yet.

Hello. I want to fill up the forms on my mother's behalf as a representative. Can I create a portal using my email address. I have given this same email address as the email address of the representative, that is me.

Who pays the fees ? PA or sponser ? If sponser how? If PA how as it’s showing in dollors?
Anyone can pay PA or Sponsor. Yes, you have to pay in dollars.
To pay fees you need to create a seprate account, whoever is paying can create an account in their name and pay the fees, and upload the receipt with the application.
hi just want to ask if the parent you are sponsoring is here in canada and her her TRV is already expired oct 06,2021 but extension of visa ito stay here s on process. what date i will put for staying here in canada until when?
until the date, you want to extend the TRV. Write an explanation that her status is under renewing and why she overstayed.

In IMM 0008: You need to add the principal applicant’s spouse and only the dependent children if they have any (under 22 years of age and not married)
In IMM 5406: section B: need to provide info of all the children, no matter what age and where they live.

Could you advise on the parent and grandparent sponsorship, under the same section Jake was referring to - do we need to list the grandchildren (Canadian) as dependents too? We are sponsoring my partners parents- but I am unclear in that section if we need to account for our children (their grandchildren) as dependents. Could you advise?
IMM 0008 is for Principal applicant and their dependents ( means your spouse’s parents). So one parent is principal Applicant, the other is dependent and if any of their children is under the age of 22 ( means your spouse’s sibling, not your children)

You need to add yourself only in IMM 5406 section B
