    What are your favorite features of the Roland SP404 MK2? Also, I have some free sound packs coming soon. Be sure to go here to get some free sounds. Free Drum Loops: bit.ly/3JtZSpg

    I have MPC Live 2 Retro, then I bought the SP-404MKII. I tried using it and it was bad. Fast forward 6 months and I haven't touched my MPC since. The SP is great for songwriters like me that have ideas and want to get them recorded quickly. Its a beast. Its an Audio Interface, midi controller, sampler, sequencer, effects unit...etc. Im seriously considering selling my MPC. I love my baby.

    I use the 404 MK II to boost the volume of my MPC (cassette sim) with the vinyl sim. The fx and resampling allows me to mangle beats in unimaginable ways.

      You are telling the truth. I really like the vinyl sim. The stutter effect is dope too.

    The SP-404 was absolutely EVERYWHERE in the 2010s. I recall seeing this thing whenever I pulled up to any electronic music event. I recall seeing at least 5 pr 6 DJs doing a set exclusively on it, and the vinyl sim is so legendary that Vulfpeck had it modeled into a plug in called the Vulf Compressor by Good Hertz. I don't know any other digital hardware features modeled into another digital version of it. The 303 had the best reverse tho and this one has a 303 reverse mode! No matter how quirky it is, it will forever be a classic!

      Thank you for adding to the conversation. Thank you for watching. Yes, the SP404 is an amazing production center. I got into it late because I was more concerned with the MPC 2000. I had a 202 but returned it because I did not understand it.

    Found a cheap one second hand as new and bought it for my daughter. got her a bunch of basic Cymantics samples and loops and put them on an SD card.
    She was mangling tf out of those samples in no time. Unrecognizable transformations in hours.
    Teenagers are insane with technology.
    I think the only limits this thing has is your imagination.

    • @CDMESD
      @CDMESD  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I totally agree with that. Our children can process information really fast. I agree with the limitations. When you study and make beats in the SP404 MKII, the process becomes easier. Thank you for commenting.

      @@CDMESD Yo bro, it's all good!! I've been there too, but as long as you let God lead you, and you're happy uploading, keep going! The 404 is more fun than people think, and nobody in the 404 community is beefing over Sounds/Sonics🤣🤣

      @CDMESD  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lindasson I know. That is the sickening part. The sonic wars. Some people don't have the money for that. I am more interested in trying to figure out how to weave God into this. He is the source of it all. Thanks for the convo bro.

    Looks to me its learning curve is even steeper and less intuitive than the MPC. And that platform has already its fair share of UI issues.

    • @CDMESD
      @CDMESD  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I will not lie to you. It is a steeper learning curve. Like anything, the more you practice with it, the more you learn.
