JHJ282 its a similar vibe/sound but I just don’t think THIS is it... this is like one of those songs that would be less popular on his best album (speaking as IF). Like, I feel like Yelawolf is extremely musically inclined, and has the potential to make fuckin HITS without even being too mainstream (which is damn near impossible for average “good” artists) but just doesn’t use his full potential, whether purposely or by accident, because he just can’t get himself to make what everyone else wants him to make. Yelawolf clearly makes music that appeals majorly to himself and what he wants to hear. And for an artist who doesn’t really care to be on top, that is a beautiful thing. He is happy and content with his life and just loves music. You can tell that of course he would LIKE to be a bigger selling artist, which is a natural feeling for ANY artist, but just doesn’t care to kiss ass to labels like all these other rappers. Which is why he respectfully and cordially left Shady Records after his last album. At least I’m pretty sure he did. If I can use an example of an artist that’s on a similar level as him, but REALLY wants to be bigger, is Hopsin... Hopsin on the other hand tried and cares almost TOO much, to be where he obviously DESERVES to be in the rap game. I don’t know what it is about Hop that the industry doesn’t like, but I feel like it might be the truth he’s tried speaking in all of his ill mind of hopsin’s, but most of the things he’d talk about were in intention to make things better and make people think and make better decisions. Anyways, now I’m getting off the original subject and talking about a completely different artist now 😂 But I feel like they can relate heavily with how they’ve been handled in the hip-hop. Yelawolf seems to have gotten more praise for some reason, but I have a hunch that Hopsin is about to finally release something with Em, and he’s going to finally be content with his career where he won’t be so pissed off anymore. Em’s his idol.
i am a huge metal fan as well and yeah yelawolf is literally the only rap/hip hop artist i listen too. listen too the full albums. so worth it i promise

Shadys hands was all over radioactive and ended up being a far cry from who Yela was.Shady gave him freedom afterwards to experiment and be himself but that must’ve been filtered through the label. Now that he’s independent he’s free to release whatever he wants.

The way this song starts out is awesome. He's touching on the early rap style of Jason Mraz on this track. For example, Jason Mraz's Curbside Profit. I love how it's touching on early 2000s genres that we thought we lost, plus his own style.

LYRICS
[Verse 1]
Well, mama sent me down to the MAPCO
BC Powders and a bag of tobacco
Said her boss was an asshole
She been on the line just breakin' her back, though
I need a rope with a lasso
To catch a pot of gold and get past the hassle
To get my mama a castle
A Pink Cadillac with the matching tassels
Take my daddy off of that backhoe
Send him down to Florida to fish on a bass boat
And a truck to match, so
He can roll around town pullin' his bass boat
Lord, I'm a dreamer, I can't pay her
She'll be on the line 'til daddy can come save her
Could've been rich, a star, a ballplayer
But I got no cares, Opie Taylor

But I got no cares, Opie Taylor
[Verse 2]
Well, a quarter pound of pot in a shoe box
Got five grand stuffed in a tube sock
Ain't got no fucking credit to use, I
Paid cash for my car at the used lot
Small town, trapped in a sinkhole
Still keepin' it cool in the pistol
Me and dope's like green to a pickle
Yeah folk, like a haystack to a sickle
Never brought back home a report card
Spent more time in court, dog
But in this little town, it's a short fall
Still servin' out, jump off the porch, dawg
I just blow the smoke in the air
Raised by pirates, curse like a sailor
Could probably get a job if I cut my hair
But I got no cares, Opie Taylor

Hopsin on the other hand tried and cares almost TOO much, to be where he obviously DESERVES to be in the rap game. I don’t know what it is about Hop that the industry doesn’t like, but I feel like it might be the truth he’s tried speaking in all of his ill mind of hopsin’s, but most of the things he’d talk about were in intention to make things better and make people think and make better decisions. Anyways, now I’m getting off the original subject and talking about a completely different artist now 😂
But I feel like they can relate heavily with how they’ve been handled in the hip-hop. Yelawolf seems to have gotten more praise for some reason, but I have a hunch that Hopsin is about to finally release something with Em, and he’s going to finally be content with his career where he won’t be so pissed off anymore. Em’s his idol.
Damn, I’m drunk and just went onnnn hahaha ☝🏼

Damn this shit bangs. And that's coming from a mostly metal fan
i am a huge metal fan as well and yeah yelawolf is literally the only rap/hip hop artist i listen too. listen too the full albums. so worth it i promise
I like metal too, and Yela is super amazing
This definitely transcends. I grew up listening to metal and punk but like a bit of everything now. Good music is good music.
He's been all over the map, and in the best way. Proper.
Metal head for over 10 years and have taken a huge break when I found this dude haven't stopped listening to him since I just can't get over his music
Plus he comes across as a cool dude yea his past is heavy but fuck man look what he has made for himself and his family
Respect Yelawolf 💛
Yella been in my heart for almost a decade now how many ups and downs I've had! Sometimes just have to hop on the bike and ride for days chasing the sun. Thanks for making my rough times better
Love this song!
This is what I think of when I believe this man is composing many of his lyrics, friends, good suroundings, whiskey and crazy times, good and bad.
Uplifting and inspirational
🙌🏼💖
Love this song it makes me forget how fu**ed up this world is lately. Thank You Guys
Truly does
True that
Ur welcome beyotch
Very cathartic.
I love that’s he’s from the south. He’s just a great creative guy his lyrics are real to us average folks. Never disrespects or discriminates women either!💪🏽💪🏽let’s see anyone do that now days! Everyone just a sell out I feel he’s has never done that to us. Sometimes it not all about the money and guns you know, this is real is something we all go thur.
It amazes me till this day that some people are sleeping on this dude, this is deeper than most rappers today, and its not even close to a "deep Yela"
The cool thing about Yelawolf is that his music is dope enough for me (33) and my son (11) to equally enjoy, Yeller
Love this man! Beautiful heart and soul pours right out into his music,! Can't wait to see him in another 5yrs very handsome ! Hell yeah Yelawolf ! Love ya man!
Handsome.......SEXY MOFO
Bron got me hooked up to this song. Fucks with Yelawolf.
When your day feels like crap and you get a notification of a new YELAWOLF track ... YESSS 🎵🙏 Dope track like always! ✌️
New video not new track
🤷🏼♂️ Still good! 😛
No half naked women shaking their asses, no agendas...just a man, a bottle of whiskey and his guitar. 💯
And his boy
He does make videos like that though. What's wrong with half naked men or women dancing in videos?
Alexander Canella it’s exhausting.
and some breakfast ;-)
Dwayne Hendricks this one is pretty wack actually.
This is gonna be hard!
I heard this right after my dog wad born. Opie Taylor. My online store is inspired by the name and Yela too. Bless you, man! Your free show in Casper wad LIT!
2 years already? I remember when this came out. Dopest beat still loving it
I'm here on behalf of Australia you've delivered yet again yela
We can't wait
for Ghetto cowboy.
This is the kinda of stuff that makes legends.
Terri Webb , I agree. A mark has been carved out and will forever be referenced as a selfless musician who shared his journey with all that supported the man he was to become.
@Terri Webb You gotta be f*cking kidding me... AM I THE ONLY ONE AROUND HERE WHO HAS HEARD YELA’S FIRST ALBUMS?? THIS IS THE FRUITIEST POP BS I’VE EVER HEARD HIM RELEASE
@@nbdy4780 yes i am sorry, i forgot you were the only true yelawolf fan.. really sorry bro dont take it to hard.. i made a mistake.. it happens
@@nbdy4780 I've seen your comments a few times and honestly it's kinda funny how you can talk about how ghetto cowboy and this song sucks. Well bud. Its bangin. And his next album is going to bang.... and geuss what the next one too. Whether you like it or not the numerous types of people that enjoy yelawolf will appreciate his music to come. But that's all too much for you too handle because you obviously don't have an open mind. Thanks bud. Have a good one and dont listen to yelawolf anymore for me. And the rest of us 🤘
Clayton72 Andrews 😂
I’m just 10 and I listen to him every morning on my way to school, I LOVE YOU YELA!
This makes me want to cruise through the south in a convertible. Yelawolf is that DUDE.

Sorry bout that Kayla B I guess I commented to fast without looking at the name.
Love this track, but NEED to hear the full version of that unreleased track from the doc.
Loving the new songs. You can almost hear the freedom of being independent in his new music. Now that he's on his own and not with Shady Records
B. Stone you think shady held him back!? Honest question not hating lol
Shadys hands was all over radioactive and ended up being a far cry from who Yela was.Shady gave him freedom afterwards to experiment and be himself but that must’ve been filtered through the label. Now that he’s independent he’s free to release whatever he wants.
TM3 was actually good though
Sounds like Tom McDonald thing. Sounds like being independent is the way to go. Kind of proving it with this song Opie Opie Taylor
B. Stone you forget the album Love Story? Yela said himself in an interview that Marshall let him do his thing. Shady is not a label that needs to do shit like that
Been listing to Yella since I was 10 I'm 20 now and he's still my favorite artist.
Only 14M views... this deserves so much more, talk about unappreciated artists...
My fav yela track for sure! Taylor gang!
The way this song starts out is awesome. He's touching on the early rap style of Jason Mraz on this track. For example, Jason Mraz's Curbside Profit. I love how it's touching on early 2000s genres that we thought we lost, plus his own style.
Pulls me right into a good mood 🤟🤟
Yela is so versatile that he's always been setting trends without even knowing just how each song of his is competing with his last on my playlist All of his music can stand the test of time this song is Truely magic and his videos are so natural!! Mad respect YelaWolf!!!
Haven't been listening to him long maybe a couple of months great songs that make me feel good keep on doing what you doing
Love this beat n Love you!
This beat is Southern as hell.
Simply amazing...
Is your profile pic a mugshot?
That certainly has "Successful" written all over it!?!
😂😂😂😂
Chris Steinruck “Success isn’t measured by what you achieve, it’s measured by the obstacles you overcome” .
this beat is country as hell lol
@@illestpadjrino7450, whatever you gotta tell yourself to justify it. 🖒

Curren$y is the most underrated artist of all time, but Yelawolf is up there too! lol
Literally just thought the same thing check out still riding he dropped 3 hours ago
This on the radio yet? How do we help make that happen? People need this. I can't stop whistling this thing to myself.
I’m really hoping it doesn’t reach radio but it’s way too good not to
I cry from the RELIEF of finding something that expresses me so well after YEARS of looking!!! I found it!!!
Yelawolf can write any style rap, this that kinda song u can drink too or listen while cruise driving
Would love to see this posted, and mass upvoted on reddit when it drops
