Couple months ago, my wife drove car license in Thailand. We went to driving test into city 20km away with a car she drove herself. Two before her went to driving test without seat belts. Staff mentioned about it, but it wasn't reason to fail the test. If you moved car one time too much while parking, that would result in failure. Most useless driving test I have ever seen 😅
@JohnnyFD I don't even know if it's enough for a cup of coffee, i know kr 20 is very little and i feel a bit self concious because it's not very much. But it's the thought that counts or something. A small way to repay for all your content. 🌸
@@living-wellon-less5669 it’s something like 30-40% of the economy. Tourism is massive. It would be catostrophic to a world economic crash equivalent. Thai economy is not that well developed
Welcome to Johnny's slurping channel lol. I love good Thai noodles. Rice once gave me serious food poisoning so noodles are safer. BTW, brakes should always be checked after they have been affected by water. You got that wrong.
@@JohnnyFD They have signs up at car wash places here about brakes, which is how I knew. Congratulations with you licenses. They made me order a new international driving license which I had forgot to do. Got caught without at Jomtien once. Only got out of trouble cause my friend, who speaks some Thai, yelled and screamed at the police so much that they got fed up and told us to get going. No fine.
@@mortarboss Same notice about brakes also here in Finland. I can even feel the slight change in braking after a wash but it returns normal after few stops. More noticeable under 0°C temperatures.
Yes. That is smart to be licensed. I wonder if the rolling down the window question was a trick question? In other words, both answers can be correct, but the first one is the most important. Is there a way to find out why the driver's test made that the one judged as correct? I'm asking because I just asked the Copiot AI, and it didn't make a distinction. Or maybe I didn't ask the question the right way. As far as the question about the brakes, I would have answered that correctly because when people can drive off and not realize that the brakes need to dry to be effective. Anyway, proud of you for getting all your driver's licenses!
I'm not gonna lie, I'm actually shocked right now that you, JohnnyFD, spent that much to get a license?!😮😂 You wouldn't even buy a sandwich in Oslo Airport. I thought you were going to starve.😂 Fortunately, there was a pot of gold at the end....the food court at Suvarnabhumi Airport.😅 Anyway, Congrats🎉 Any plans to visit other countries nearby, maybe driving?
10:56 Ohhh it is a trick question. You must always stay on the left side of the ENTIRE ROAD (in Thailand, JP or UK etc..) but drive to the right of the motorcyclers. This wasn't testing your driving ability it was testing your logical ability. Kind of lame.
Brakes don't work well right after getting wet..till they dry..Think safety when taking tests. I never have been required to take the tests.....I had an international license with bike endorsement and all I had to do was watch an hour movie, take the red, green, yellow test and have a pulse and i got both at the same time...cost was 310 for both licenses, 100 for medical and 10 baht for copies. Next time when you renew- just do it yourself...easy...2 hours..no appointment needed,,..plenty of info. online to help u thru the process.
Johnny, have a question for your next Q&A. and 2 large singhas on me (with ice) would you consider moving back to Chiang Mai for 6 months out of the year, similar to what you do in Jomtien? Also how do you like all your new filming gear you got recently? and lastly which mic do you like more the DJI or the Hollymark?
Hey thanks for the tip! I'll go into them more in depth during the Q&A but... Chiang Mai - I loved it there, but that chapter of my life is now closed. I'll go back and visit only. 5 years was enough there for me to see, do, eat and experience everything I wanted. Now I appreciate having a beach. Gear - I like the Hollyland for my iPhone better as it has a small usb plug. But the DJI works seamlessly with the Osmo 5.
Johnny, hopefully you were not having a Jim moment during the test? "What does a Yellow light mean....Slow Down! What.....does....a....Yelllow....light....mean. Slowdown"! 🤣🤣 Glad you got your license...to not get killed! I was wondering if Dylan in the picture ever drove a motorcycle in his life. That initial take off was scary!
Guilty, your insurance is also invalid ! I have been in Thailand over 30 years, i have never heard of people saying youre a tourist and your here so its your fault !!!
dude, you would never be able to travel to Asian countries because slurping is part of the culture. It would be an INSULT if you didnt slurp. If you cant handle it, then just skip through it.
After working in a hospital emergency room I always wear a full-face helmet. I've seen too many people with their chin and nose ground off. Does anyone else hate AI spellcheck? It changes entire words. Arggg!
JohnnyFD I was wondering what camera would be best to use for starting a channel? Also what equipment would be best to have for the travel vlogging experience? Please let me know.😊

For Johnny $150 extra for the license is nothing but $2 more to eat inside a restaurant is too much.
Priorities =)
Have a waiting cup of coffe on me, Johnny. Great content as usual. 😊
Deal! Thank you!

Actually it's exactly enough for an Americano at most cafes here in Thailand, so thank you!
Good work Johnny, now you don't have to bribe the cops if you get stopped. And, on a lesser note, it helps keep people in a job.
I always refused to bribe the cops anyways. I'd rather just pay the real fine at the bank so it doesn't encourage them.
Bribe, its only 500 THB or even better, just have a license !
How poor would Thailand be without tourism, maybe tourists should boycott Thailand until they figure out why butters their toast!

The big dude aka DK rode straight through a stop sign at the end of his road test 😂 ..a thorough test process...NOT!
Fried chicken 😂
is it 3 months to get an appointment if you dont book through agency?
It was also the peak of high season when he went. But I think generally the agency can you in sooner.
Next video: Johnny buys A Harley-Davidson! Going cruising 😎

Makes sense about the brakes. Even after washing your car you should test them as soon as you can. =)

I live in the UK where it rains most days so brakes are basically always wet.

Johnny , since you already have the license, all you would need is a motorcycle endorsement. Same as America.
In thailand, the Motorcycle License is seperate from a Car license. You can't just add an "M" to your existing card unfortunately.

Sounds little much. I went through CDL class A little less pressure. Wonder what a truck drivers go through there? CDL since 1991. Thi incense is 😮

I am going to assume you have never driven through a flood because when your brakes get wet they don't work.
Damn, you're lucky to make it out scot free after landing on your head, thank God for that helmet 😮
I could do without your slurping noise

I'm assuming they're driving on freeways in the USA. It's very different here. You can't compare the two.
Isnt the resturaunt food safer?
No. Thai street stalls are generally very safe.
Yes, I'd pay the service. As a rule always pay for help with visas, etc...
congrats little bro! money well spent

I agree with you. It coat more, but everyting is finished for now.
I just used my Texas drivers licence and a visa agent to get my licenses. Only had to do the vision and reaction test.
Did you already have a motorcycle license in Texas?
@JohnnyFD yes
Well, that's why.
Breaks definitely more important than electrical. No trick there
Is the term “Ladyboy” that you used acceptable in Thailand??
Yes.
👍🏻👍🏻
i come to thailand for 3 weks on visa exemption.. Can i take the motorbike license still???
yes!
2.00? Why so expensive? Use to be .50cents?
Are you giving up on Ukraine. Looks like SE Asia is s much better place to be.
He is in Thailand for the winter and will come back to Ukraine.
Hi Johnny. Why have you abandoned Ukraine? Your homeland needs you.
Thanks! You can help Ukraine by donating here: donorbox.org/trucks-under-christmas-tree/fundraiser/johnny-fd
You're making me hungry with that delicious Thai food 😂
Greece or Thailand, what country has the better food in your honest opinion?
Thailand for sure as there's variety, but Greek food is fantastic for 1-2 weeks.
Cool!
