    12:49 and also 8:51. Depressing to see all those megadrive boxes so heavily sunfaded.
    Awesome video as usual thank you JJ San the country kid from... Japan ! And what a loaded book off.

      I agree, it’s a bummer that all them sweet mega drives games have severe Sun fading. More videos to come, cheers!

    That place was great 4-5 years ago but I picked it clean back then 😆

      @RetroReWire  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I bet, haha. What pickups did you score from this place back then? I bet you have a loaded game room! Cheers!

    Best video so far. Loved every second of it. I really want that arcade gears 3 wonders for saturn. Saw it for 21 000 yen in 2017, so 22 000 yen in 2023 must be a really good price. Also holy carp that Rockman 1 at the beginning. Amazing deal. So many hard hitters this episode!

      Glad you like the video! This Book Off was pretty sweet! More retro gaming goodness is on the way, cheers!

    This 2:23 is a gem man

  • @dazrael5658
    @dazrael5658 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I’ve always wanted a Laseractive but they are notorious for breaking and are super pricy. Still I did get to play Pyramid Patrol on one a few weeks ago.
    Also you missed a PCE Sapphire at 13:45 which looked a bit sun faded like the MD games. Book Off needs to invest in some UV glass.
    Great video JJ, I loved the abstract jumping around with the editing.

      Glad you enjoyed the video! I'd love to try a LaserActive one day. And it's a real shame about the sun fading, it really is. I guess the store sign was foreshadowing of things to come, haha. Cheers!

    The worst part about so many people in a grocery store is when your super thirsty and you have to wait in line. I dont think they gotthat nanostray in japan anyway. Overall seems like some fair prices there

    Is that a common price for the Mega CD at hardoff? Would def. pick one up for that price!

    • @RetroReWire
      @RetroReWire  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Prices can vary, with some Book OFF stores having decent deals on working Mega CDs. Other will have them upwards of ¥40,000, but these typically include the box. I picked a model 2 earlier in the year for a similar prices to those in this video, definitely worth it! Cheers!

    Some Saturn games actually uses an enhancement cartridge that make games run as good as arcade machines at the time. Street Fighter x X-Men is a great example of that. Maybe that's the case with this Street Fighter Zero 3. Just another league.

    • @RetroReWire
      @RetroReWire  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, Street Fighter Zero 3 requires the 4mb ram cart. It's an awesome conversion!

  • @davkimber293
    @davkimber293 ปีที่แล้ว

    I would’ve snatched that Saturn Street Fighter Zero 3 for that price

    • @RetroReWire
      @RetroReWire  ปีที่แล้ว

      I been wanting that version of the game for years! Def a huge pickup for my collection. Cheers!

    I have got a crazy idea if someone drive a lorry and prepare enough space to store games stuff. Then go trough Japan for a grand road trip. When trip finish and all game will dispute to donors through automatic drawing. It may be interesting documentary but you have to have time and lorry.

    • @RetroReWire
      @RetroReWire  ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha, them big ideas could be the ticket for success! On a side note, a few lorry drivers customize their trucks. The other day I saw one with a hot pink paint job and Demon Slayer decals. Cheers!

    "Let's go into this aisle...just kidding, here's a local train station...now jump back to the store."
    "This was a nice nighttime fireworks show...now let's rewind to the afternoon at the other store across the street from bookoff."
    I get how you want to create some sort of story, but not sure about this kind of jumping around...

    PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, Do not pan the camera on the game spines while expecting us to read or see anything, WE CANNOT, because it's NOT 60 frames, either pan the camera too slowely or just get a 4K60 camera, PLEASE. My eyes hurts from the random camera-waving over the games.

    • @RetroReWire
      @RetroReWire  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the feedback. Finding the right balance is always tricky. My production process is always evolving, so I'll keep in mind the things you stated.
      Shooting 4k60 would be nice, but it def requires more storage capacity and processing power. Regardless, I hope you find some value/entertainment with the videos, cheers!
