Thanks for the encouragement. I have, unfortunately trashed the big sheet of paper that I was drawing on. I will, in future videos try to secure a better picture quality.

Hi Alex, I have only tried to put them in parallel i.e. connecting blue-blue, brown-brown and black-black wires together. Then if one of the two is triggered the signal goes low. This has worked w/o any issue. Hope you can use my answer.
Let's say for instance, you were not given the information either about the type of sensor (NPN or PNP) or the state (normally open or normally closed). How would you go about to find which one is which?
These sensors have LED indicators on them, connecting them to 12 volt dc and measuring the voltage between signal and ground cables gives you state info (NO sensors will only provide voltage when it senses metal, NC sensors will not provide any voltage when detecting metal). As for the type (NPN or PNP) I don't have any idea how to figure it out

Hello sir, Your video is surely very well argued but I am faced with 2 difficulties which are: the language that I do not understand and also and above all your writings absolutely illegible, in particular on your blue sheets, on the mutimeter we cannot distinguish the display; it is a pity and frustrating. Can you fix it please? because the content seemed very interesting. P. K.
Exactly what I needed! Thanks for this.

This is going to be useful! Thanks for sharing another insightful video.

Very good. Thank you. I was able to wire my PNP proximity switches correctly without the need of DC-DC converters or transistors. ;)
Really informative video. Huge thank you. Would be nice to download that sheet with your output charts. ??? Thank again. Very enlightening
Sehr nützlich, danke
Thank you you explained it quite clearly
very informative video but can you tell me how to wire the sensor to a tachometer and which one to use thanks
Very good explanation sir

is'nt NPN supposed to be in blue caps and the PNP in yellow ?
Very useful video, Martin, thank you very much. Could you please tell how do I connect NPN NC sensors in series? Still no luck...

Thank You !!
Meget pædagogisk forklaring, selv jeg kunne forstår forskellen og hvordan det virker.

thank u
can i say that NPN (NO)= PNP (NC) ??
