Why does “celebrating your sexuality” have to happen online? Why can’t I be confident and sexy without having to post my body online? This is why I quit social media, to me that’s not a normal way of thinking anymore. These celebrities say they post these pics to show their freedom, and feminism but that’s not freedom at all...I can be happy, sexy etc etc without other people’s approval to me that’s freedom.

I find Jeannie’s response quite confusing. She’s the one who said before that she’d choose her husband over her mother but here she’s willing to leave a guy over him feeling uncomfortable with her posting racy pics. Doesn’t make sense at all. Also, I think it’s fine for a man to stop his woman posting risqué pics, I wouldn’t want my husband to post suggestive crotch shots of himself online either and vice versa. This is nothing about having a controlling person, it’s about respecting the person you’re in a commitment with.

I want to understand where Jeannie is coming from, but it comes down to this for me...when you marry someone, you have to have compromises. As a married person, you can't do what ever you want without taking your partner's feelings into consideration.
Jeannie wants complete freedom, and that's fine, but the types of men who would be okay with that are the ones that also want complete freedom, and it's only a matter of time before they do something you don't like and refuse to compromise.

I didn't really like Jeannie's answer but she did admit couple of times that she is a selfish person. One reason why she doesn't want to have children. I do agree with you that marriage is about compromises. However, I can also understand Jeannie's side when she said she wants to find someone who would love her for her and allows her that freedom. Dont see how a husband long term partner having an opinion is all of a sudden "controlling" by Jeanies logic.
