This wall looks great, but it would only work for a castlette, a castleatted mansion basically. If you were attacking this castle wall all you'd have to do is fire arrows against the defenders who aren't defended by the castellations. Then you could just burn down the logs and walk through. My own minecraft castles are two or through blocks of stone and stone bricks thick and go down into the ground at least two blocks all the way around.
I have a version of my own that’s completely flat with completely functional machicolations that can fit 1 block, 2 block, 3 block, and walls wider than that. And having tested them personally- they’re amazing. You can drop lava from them, shoot arrows through, it’s great.

Alright time to rate it based lff of real medieval walls: There are no arrow slits in the lower part of the battlements Also wood is a weak material Walls are built to be strong and thick, meanwhile this one u gotta mine just a few blocks to get in Good lighitng so thats nice, visibility is important Flower bushes arent wisest choice, they dont provide defensive capability and make the wall look a bit weaker Short battlements, archers arent that protected now are they? Ok there's the rating based off real medieval walls The wall does look nice though, i would use it to separate my backyard from my neighbor's house's backyard
@Jay-rs4co@Jay-rs4co well, defense walls usually don't have blanks that only reach to the defenders' waist, or gigantic overhangs that let attackers have a picnic under the defenses with no machicolations to attack them (basically holes in the floor along the blanks to shoot down qlong the wall below). The flowers are one of the least defense-interrupting parts. They even reduce the area attackers can linger in safely and ever so slightly delay their entry. This wall could be improved by adding more vegetation around it. Like, berry bushes. Or maybe replacing slabs on blanks with something that allows you to shoot down, like stone walls. Or adding iron bars instead of the blocks lanterns hang off of.
Where is the machicolations 😢 how can you forget about the most epic feature of a medieval walls ("murder holes" are also very fun) If you want all you have to do at one extra block to the top and then switch out the slab with the upside down staircase and it would be functioning machicolations if you wanted more angle to make sure that you can hit someone that's at the very bottom of the wall you would also add a secondary staircase built into the original wall but it's not needed unless your wall is really tall more TH-cam videos needd to make functional defenses
