I wanted this figure so bad as a kid but I sadly starting collecting a year or two too late. Who wouldn't want a silent, uzi wielding masked ninja with a pet Wolf? Lol
this may have just been an inference that i made as a child having been an active reader of the comic at the time i was collecting the toys. for some reason i thought that the arrow was supposed to be the arrow that killed the hard master and snake eyes had it on his uniform as a keepsake / reminder / honor his death or whatever until the killer was apprehended and revenge was cast. this would coincide with the first major appearance of the costume in the comic is when he learns of the hard master's killer and seeks out storm shadow to help exact revenge. it would be very 80's to have that sort of keepsake on your uniform when gearing up for action. not sure if this has been supported anywhere else, but i thought it was a good explanation. i like this idea better than it being some form of ranged wrist attack similar to destroy.
Do you think there would be a demand for a life-sized (5'9" er so) version of this figure? And possibly the first Storm Shadow? It's sort of the "gentle giant" idea taken to its final scale.... I'm a commercial sculptor and I'm sort of interested in a "fan made" one off... I think I could make them articulate just like the figures as well... I'd love to know your thoughts...
The Gentle Giant series isn't popular with the general GI Joe collecting community because of the small selection, high price and current want for more compatible figures size-wise. If you can make 1:1 scale figures, I would suggest going after a market that would buy characters regardless of those factors - like Star Wars or Transformers. A six foot, 4 points of articulation, hollow vintage style Stormtrooper would sell like hot cakes. A six foot Unicron (non-transformable) would be almost in-scale to G1 toys and would sell equally well. I would imagine either would be in the $1000 range and I would still bet they'd sell way more than any GI Joe character.

Snake-Eyes does use his wrist dart in one of the U.K. comic stories, I think the title was re-branded as G.I.Joe: European Missions in the States?
lol Love the little scene .
coolest Snake Eyes figure

Where did you get this snake eyes from?
Probably from a local toy show in the mid-'90's.
The sword was the BEST toothpick. Just sayin'.
