A lot of you seem to disagree with my list. I understand that you disagree with me a lot here however a lot of these remakes are downsizes which sacrifice functionality, detail, and overall value when compared to the previous version of the same set/ship from Star Wars.
MandRproductions just wanna point something out. The new vulture droid is to scale with a mini figure which makes it make sense also the new republic Fighter tank is to scale believe it or not.

I get that the Death Star is basically a rerelease, but the original was so amazing and the new one was only an improvement. It’s a great set no matter what, and I’m extremely proud to have it.
I really disagree with this list like a lot. The 2014 vulture droid was bigger because that's how big it is. The other vultures were too small compared to the actual in universe size. The A-wing and Grievous ships are imo better builds with better figs than previous versions.

As a kid the general grievous star fighter was one of my favorites. I always wanted more Jedi figures, and in the context of the episode it is based on the Jedi figure made sense. I would have loved to see additional sets for that episode. It was one of the best in the series.
Despite me not liking that they've made it four times, it's hard for me to argue the design didn't improve each time. It was also never downsized which is a massive plus for me.
No, the older ones *were* actually size accurate. They should be about 22 feet tall, or roughly 3 and a half minifigs if we estimate the average minifig to be around 6 feet tall. The old ones were almost exactly that.
In the clone wars the vulture droids are pretty big. If you have watched the revenge of the sith (like everyone has) It,s almost the same size as the jedi starfighters. And the Obi-Wans lego jedi starfighter is pretty close to the actual size. So conclusion: Then newest vulture droid is actually closer to the actual size than the older models. So FlameFlamedramon VA you are correct.
What you said about the vulture Droid is false. In 1999 a Vulture Droid also came out as a stand-alone set, coupled with the release of The Phantom Menace
The 1999 version (IMO) looked the best and, along with the 2005 versions, was the best scale-wise. They were only 7 meters tall, or (roughly) 2 and a half minifigs in height.
Yeah, I agree! That was my first SW lego ever by the way, so I would love to see the "thin" version more often. I liked the playability of the '99 vulture. I also like the colors of it. Reminds the vulture ones first seen ever. The size of it was adequate as far as I remember Ep. I scenes. I think that I need to rebuild this awesome model lost inside my lego box :)
I distinctly disagree with your A-Wing choice, as I love that set. The A-Wing's newer, larger design bumps up the piece count (and effectively the price), but I like the whole maintenance car, it's a really nice set up. That said, I really like the rest of the video and I agree with the rest of your choices.
Yeah. It was a bit annoying how his reasoning basically amounted to "buh it's expensive". If you do a list of worst sets, the criteria should focus on the sets themselves. The new A-Wing is much more accurate, and the ladder has been standard with Rebel ships since the very beginning.
I do have both models and know that this is the case however, the Spider Droid is NOT a popular enough ship to justify a rerelease so soon to fix such a minor problem. IMO
Granted it is incredibly easy to fix the problem by yourself (its even the exact same fix as the 2008 spider droid which had the same problem) since all you need is to replace the 8 grey technic pieces on the legs with 8 black ones.
The Darth Vader figure remake is essentially just a more accurate model than the original. The construction is a lot different, and there’s a lot more movie-accurate detail than the original. Not to mention the awesome capes included in the new one. I own both, and I’d easily choose the new one over the older one. No questions asked.

To be fair, the AAT had 5 battle droids 3 of which were B2 super battle droids. Where as the Turbo Tank only came with 2 clones. Not really an army builder for a vehicle specifically meant for Armies.
I disagree with your preference on the general grievous ship. It did come with the great general grievous and the jedi was put in the set for a reason. He was Nahdar Veb and was a crucial part of the clone wars episode "Lair of Grievous". Just my opinion. Every piece of the set was a part of the episode including the chair.
I love it cause it finally has Aayla secura with a typical LEGO face unlike the clone wars sets & like you said it’s more size accurate to the video game

I think Lego only really screwed up the CIS sets. The AAT is a major step down as for the shrink in size you don't even get the same amount of minifigures.

I have the Interceptor it's meant to face off against, but never managed to get the Vulture Droid. It was such a good set and such a shame I barely missed it.

I disagree with the 2016 homing slider droid. It seemed like the 2013 one always fell over. They fixed that problem in the 2016 one so I think it shouldn't have been included on the list
DominoPerson 5 then again, if you have 8 black pins to replace the tan ones with you can do it yourself. It's what I did, since I like the minifigures better in the 2013 one.
Honestly your so picky with your sets, most of the time you get mad because the set is smaller, smaller is better because it's cheaper, like I can buy 4 of the new republic tanks instead of buying two of the older versions

So many of these sets are cheaper than the old ones, so of course they aren't as cool. Going from $50 to $25 is going to give you less stuff, but it also makes it so that people with out a lot of money can get the same ship. I wanted the old Republic Tank super bad, but with two minifigs for $50, I decided my money was better spent elsewhere. The new one has four minifigs and is only $25. So what, it's smaller, that means the price is smaller too.

Sorry but I strongly disagree with the A-wing one. I bought it because it’s a pretty good remake for me personally. It’s better at the firing function and landing gears. The ladder piece, which I really wanted, usually comes with big and expensive sets these days, but not this set. And yeah, the Landó mini figure is awesome. Good video though, hope you make more other comparisons so I can learn more about those LEGO sets:)
I actually think it's more size accurate to the minifigure and is better than the UCS version. And the fins are finally thinner and angled slightly in !!
I honestly never liked the original fighter tank. Way oversized and it only had 2 regular clones (the easiest guys to find in 08-09). Also the new Aayla secura is amazing.
Oh man, I was with you all the way up until you reached number one. I couldn’t disagree more. The TX-130 was WAY to big in 2008 and it’s shape was inaccurate. I feel that the new model is much more accurate to Minifigures scale and they nailed its look, shape, and style perfectly. Not to mention the fact that this set is half the price of the original (I got it for $18 ^_^) Sure you lose some features (most of them unnecessary in my opinion) with the downsize but that’s well worth the cost for the accuracy to size and shape, mobility, figures, and price of the set. The TX-130 is one of my favorite vehicles in Star Wars and this is one of my all time favorite LEGO Star Wars sets. AND that thing looks so sexy next to my 2008 Republic Gunship (my all-time favorite LEGO set). Either way, it’s your opinion and I agree with 9/10 of it. Haha. Thanks for the video, friend. The A-Wing was pretty good for the price especially for lando. I also thought it was better than the others. I also LOVED the new clone tank. The figures were ok and the set is VERY sturdy! It is a lil overpriced, but it’s still really good. And I missed out on the old vulture droid, the old clone assault tank and the old MMT so I think they were good to get
Unless your a kid who plans to be hard out playing with the set 24/7 , why do you like it more because it was "sturdier?" The clone wars one and 2005 one were sturdy enough, but way bigger and more accurate looking. As an AFOL I hate it when Lego sacrifices size for technic pieces and action features. Therefore I can see why kids would like the new turbo tank, but its targeted for the older audience anyway. And liking a set remake just because you missed out on the old ones isnt a very authentic excuse. The 2014 MTT is so $**t compared to the 2007 one thats its not worth getting the remake.
Lewis MX the 2016 clone turbo tank was movie accurate and was put out for people who didn't get the previous one and didn't want to pay extra money for a not used one on eBay or Amazon.
Bought it for the same reason. I like the character of Aayla Secura, but so far there was only the CW-version available as a minifig. Now, i love the Clone Wars series, but the almost anime-like designed minifigures with those creepy googly eyes are just bad. Really, really bad ... yeah, i know, they tried to emulate the look of the show, but it didn't work. At least in my opinion it didn't. So i immediately jumped on that new fighter tank when i realized it had a non-CW-style Aayla Secura.

Seeing an A-Wing with unnecessary extreme slope angle to the engine wings makes me sad. They never were that sloped and look so awkward. Also I noticed all the recent A-Wings had a one or two studs less in the front to show that split between the angles. Now its all flush. Ewww
The 2016 turbo tank was necessary, as it had been *6 YEARS* since the last one. It's good for people that missed out. (Also, while a step down from the 2010 one, the size does not make much of a difference to me as the change is not major.) This is the EXACT same situation with the MTT. FINALLY, the Republic Fighter Tank had great new figures, and the first one was too damn big. (the og one was $50, now THATS a rip-off for ya) Nothing against you Ryan, but you wanted the Spider Droid to come out 5 years later, when you don't want sets like the ones mentioned above to be re released. *Nostalgia clouds your vision*
They remake alot of these sets to keep third party market prices low so that way scalpers don't buy dozens of these sets and sell them for twice the price. Much like sets that only had one relase. It's economics 101
Number 10 general grivous star fighter. The build for the new one is superior to the old general grivous starfighter. I also think the standalone volture droid is the best version. Except from those, i agree with the rest of your list
Emil Nordsæter the grievous starfighter was really unecessary, as they just bulked it up to hide flick fire missisles in it. Apart from that, it has the same features as the old one. The old one was also properly scaled, the new one is too big.
The Grievous starfighter was really totally not unnecessary. The new one looks so much better. Old one is hideous and I did not want to buy it. New one is one of my favourite LEGO Star Wars ships. The change is monumental and so extremely warranted.
Well, unit count. A piece made of less plastic could cost five to ten times more than another piece five times larger than it simply because it's "rare," which is pretty dumb, honestly. Plastic is plastic. But you are still correct.
Kamo mill it also might be supply and demand or maybe because of the effort to get the shape right on the slave 1 was a lot harder to make basically a cone. (Not dissing the beautiful saturn v or my child the slave 1)
Mr Poool actually no... No the past few years price per part has gone down, the most expensive pieces of sets (minifigures) keep getting better and certain sizes have gone down either to make it more size accurate, it was cheaper, or inflation.
7:15 the AAT from 2009 is from the clone wars ( cronologicaly, a later design than the one from The Phantom Menace) so it is explained why it is smaller.

I have the Interceptor it's meant to face off against, but never managed to get the Vulture Droid. It was such a good set and such a shame I barely missed it.
the WORST remake is the 2018 version of the AT-ST its literally INCOMPLETE you could literally buy the Rogue one AT-ST for the same price and plus the new one dosent have a ROOF as to the Rouge one version IT HAS A ROOF. like WTF

I disagree with the 2016 homing slider droid. It seemed like the 2013 one always fell over. They fixed that problem in the 2016 one so I think it shouldn't have been included on the list
DominoPerson 5 then again, if you have 8 black pins to replace the tan ones with you can do it yourself. It's what I did, since I like the minifigures better in the 2013 one.

Honestly your so picky with your sets, most of the time you get mad because the set is smaller, smaller is better because it's cheaper, like I can buy 4 of the new republic tanks instead of buying two of the older versions
Plus the new republic tanks are just more accurate. His reasoning behind the new one being so bad is just that it's smaller, yet he praises the old Vulture Droid and Old Grevious Starfighter for the exact same thing.

So many of these sets are cheaper than the old ones, so of course they aren't as cool. Going from $50 to $25 is going to give you less stuff, but it also makes it so that people with out a lot of money can get the same ship. I wanted the old Republic Tank super bad, but with two minifigs for $50, I decided my money was better spent elsewhere. The new one has four minifigs and is only $25. So what, it's smaller, that means the price is smaller too.

Sorry but I strongly disagree with the A-wing one. I bought it because it’s a pretty good remake for me personally. It’s better at the firing function and landing gears. The ladder piece, which I really wanted, usually comes with big and expensive sets these days, but not this set. And yeah, the Landó mini figure is awesome.

I honestly never liked the original fighter tank. Way oversized and it only had 2 regular clones (the easiest guys to find in 08-09). Also the new Aayla secura is amazing.

Oh man, I was with you all the way up until you reached number one. I couldn’t disagree more. The TX-130 was WAY to big in 2008 and it’s shape was inaccurate. I feel that the new model is much more accurate to Minifigures scale and they nailed its look, shape, and style perfectly. Not to mention the fact that this set is half the price of the original (I got it for $18 ^_^)
Sure you lose some features (most of them unnecessary in my opinion) with the downsize but that’s well worth the cost for the accuracy to size and shape, mobility, figures, and price of the set. The TX-130 is one of my favorite vehicles in Star Wars and this is one of my all time favorite LEGO Star Wars sets. AND that thing looks so sexy next to my 2008 Republic Gunship (my all-time favorite LEGO set).

The A-Wing was pretty good for the price especially for lando. I also thought it was better than the others. I also LOVED the new clone tank. The figures were ok and the set is VERY sturdy! It is a lil overpriced, but it’s still really good. And I missed out on the old vulture droid, the old clone assault tank and the old MMT so I think they were good to get

Unless your a kid who plans to be hard out playing with the set 24/7 , why do you like it more because it was "sturdier?" The clone wars one and 2005 one were sturdy enough, but way bigger and more accurate looking. As an AFOL I hate it when Lego sacrifices size for technic pieces and action features. Therefore I can see why kids would like the new turbo tank, but its targeted for the older audience anyway. And liking a set remake just because you missed out on the old ones isnt a very authentic excuse. The 2014 MTT is so $**t compared to the 2007 one thats its not worth getting the remake.
Lewis MX the 2016 clone turbo tank was movie accurate and was put out for people who didn't get the previous one and didn't want to pay extra money for a not used one on eBay or Amazon.

I got it so I could switch out the color pallate and make it an imperial tank, and because Lego Star Wars rarely does Twilek minifigures.
Bought it for the same reason. I like the character of Aayla Secura, but so far there was only the CW-version available as a minifig. Now, i love the Clone Wars series, but the almost anime-like designed minifigures with those creepy googly eyes are just bad. Really, really bad ... yeah, i know, they tried to emulate the look of the show, but it didn't work. At least in my opinion it didn't. So i immediately jumped on that new fighter tank when i realized it had a non-CW-style Aayla Secura.

I hate that stud shooters ! They're EVERYWHERE , some sets look horrible , because they have stud shooters.
That's the thing about LEGO though, you can just take them off and replace them with something you find more appealing!

Seeing an A-Wing with unnecessary extreme slope angle to the engine wings makes me sad. They never were that sloped and look so awkward. Also I noticed all the recent A-Wings had a one or two studs less in the front to show that split between the angles. Now its all flush. Ewww
The 2016 turbo tank was necessary, as it had been *6 YEARS* since the last one. It's good for people that missed out. (Also, while a step down from the 2010 one, the size does not make much of a difference to me as the change is not major.) This is the EXACT same situation with the MTT. It had been 7 years since the last one, and while the size was a detriment to the set (it could only hold 6 battle droids) it could have been easily fixed to hold 12 battle droids. th-cam.com/video/y6svdoD5mqY/w-d-xo.html The death star could have stayed the way it was, but the figures needed updating. FINALLY, the Republic Fighter Tank had great new figures, and the first one was too damn big. While the set could have been bigger, maybe at $30, adding the much needed top turret/cannon, as well as overall making the tank a small bit bigger. (the og one was $50, now THATS a rip-off for ya) Nothing against you Ryan, but you wanted the Spider Droid to come out 5 years later, when you don't want sets like the ones mentioned above to be re released. *Nostalgia clouds your vision*

They remake alot of these sets to keep third party market prices low so that way scalpers don't buy dozens of these sets and sell them for twice the price. Much like sets that only had one relase. It's economics 101

Number 10 general grivous star fighter. The build for the new one is superior to the old general grivous starfighter. I also think the standalone volture droid is the best version. Except from those, i agree with the rest of your list
Emil Nordsæter the grievous starfighter was really unecessary, as they just bulked it up to hide flick fire missisles in it. Apart from that, it has the same features as the old one. The old one was also properly scaled, the new one is too big.
The Grievous starfighter was really totally not unnecessary. The new one looks so much better. Old one is hideous and I did not want to buy it. New one is one of my favourite LEGO Star Wars ships. The change is monumental and so extremely warranted.

I have the microfighter, but that's it. The micro, though brief, was still an interesting build.
I also have the Republic Gunship that is meant to face off against it. I was very impressed with how they designed both of them on such a small scale.

Kamo mill it also might be supply and demand or maybe because of the effort to get the shape right on the slave 1 was a lot harder to make basically a cone. (Not dissing the beautiful saturn v or my child the slave 1)

7:15 the AAT from 2009 is from the clone wars ( cronologicaly, a later design than the one from The Phantom Menace) so it is explained why it is smaller.
