The astrates have worked along side the eldar so many times know thst yvraine helped out on cadia. At this point the only thing stopping an alliance is the crappy administratum. To put it in perspective, the black templars have worked with them almost as much if not more than the ultramarines who win everything by default. What's funny about this is that when I tried to purge aliens in my empire, my energy production from jobs started fucking tanking like hell, and so did several other resources... so I instead moved them all to a penal colony as slaves, dooming their species to an even worse fate than extermination. I love this game so much

Well technically, the Geneva conventions' rules only apply when both sides are signatories or abide by them. So as soon as the alien combatant uses a flamethrower, gas, germ warfare, targets a hospital, hides among civilians (his own or ours), display a red cross on a white field without it being a hospital etc. then we can obey the conventions while we nuke the aliens into the stone age

I had a blossoming little nation of 12 worlds, 5 ring worlds and 6 station habitats. Then 3 empires of Xenos made a pact to conquer the Galaxy together. I was the last to fall, overwhelmed by an entire galaxy spamming military my direction. On that day I learned that peace can never be an option.
You should have fortified key choke point systems to prevent them from ever entering your empire. An eternal bastion of freedom in cold dark galaxy.
