"Rizzler paper offside" He was a mile off😂
Fair play to Rory for giving an honest review of Gallagher. Never thought I'd see it. Plus great assessment of Trippier. Offers us absolutely nothing. Much better once Walker moved to the left.
Criminal from Southgate to have only Shaw as only natural left back in the squad. Should have taken Alfie Doughty, Tyrick Mitchell or Leif Davis to use until Shaw is back fit.
What Gordon brings to this team is everything that is needed. Speed, fearlessness, wanting to move the ball forward and take on players. He also has a fantastic work ethic and will help out the back playing behind him. He steps up in big games and scored against every top 6 team this season.
Gomez should play LB. He’s right footed BUT he’s way more adept on his left foot than trippier and he’s played there for almost a whole season, unlike trippier. Also deceptively fast.
Yep, klopp trained him at Lb, the best coach in recent history.. trent was actually crucial to our midfield hence the lack of goals when he didn't start.. funny how the only player capable of playing out of position is the 1 trained by an actual coach... more klopp players are needed if were letting southgate manage things
Yes Joe Gomez is not being utilised. He saved us.
There's certainly no harm in trying it no matter who we get in the Ro16. If it doesn't work out, we can just do what we did against Slovenia; Trent at Rb, move Walker to Lb.
@@ashwilliams4959Southgate sucks but you’re glazing klopp way too much, he’s amazing but calling him the only coach is kinda disrespectful especially to Eddie Howe
@@Deathmare235 trippers rb for Newcastle, its southgate whose put him on the left. Gomez has played basically a full season at Lb for liverpool.. 1 was trained Lb by klopp 1 was trained by southgate
Bellingham was a 3 out of 10, playing poorly and I’m
Concerned he’s fatigued and could use a rest in the next game.
Have to agree with your take on Kobbie, he just looks soo relaxed. Like never in trouble, always calm.
He reminds me a little bit or henry but as a 6. The class, the silk while having the ball. 10/10 player.
1 bad performance & you’ll be saying drop him
Henry... 😂😂😂
Henry? What are you smoking?
Is this a joke?
He's definitely more an 8 than a 6, but you spitting fax
Gordon,Mainoo and Palmer were brilliant
They were not brilliant what club you support they never did anything 😂 no goals were scored if ended a draw 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yeh and only Mainoo will start the next game...and he was the least impressive of the 3. It's so frustrating
Gordon was on for a few minutes and none of them done anything
@@dondamon4669 he never did anything he never did an assist he never scored that was rubbish omg you people are crazy man

Palmer did more in 15 mins than the whole team did in 90 mins…I would drop Saka for a game and let Palmer do his thing
12 passes
0 chances created
1 shot
0 goals
0 assists

Drop foden
dont let the crybaby arsenal fans hear that lol
@@rbdataanalytics8576ha stop sniffing crack
I’d have given Saka 7, because he really didn’t receive much of the ball compared to the other attackers and still was one of the best players for us. I would drop Bellingham for palmer and bring foden into the middle, and that 3 of palmer foden and saka would link up so well.
Are you stupid respectfully? 7 means he has a good game and scored/assisted... Hes officially top 3 worst rated players on that pitch, did nothing
Tired of seeing wrong footed LBs. Time to go 3 at the back.
5-2-2-1. Saka/Bowen wing backs, mainoo/Rice deep, Foden/Palmer AM, Watkins up top.
As a Real Madrid fan, I like to see Jude get more criticism
because next season Real is playing without Kroos and Real will struggle to control the games without him
Jude along with Fede, Cama and Tchou needs to massively step up to control our midfield
I don't watch much Madrid outside of UCL, but I feel that yes there'll be a drop off and a transitional phase with Kroos leaving and Modric not getting any younger. But I feel Fede Valverde is underrated at retaining possession and actually braking lines with passes fairly often. He's got the work rate of Gallagher, the pace of Saka, the strength of Rice, great passing and a threat when on the ball in the final third. He's got a rocket for a boot. What a player. I think the drop off won't be as noticeable with Valverde in midfield. Tchouameni, Valverde and Bellingham deployed a little deeper and actually as more of a midfielder could see great success imo. Especially considering you've got Mbappe now; who will presumably play as a centre forward with Vinicius and Rodrygo either side of him.
what part of madrid are you from?

I've been saying all tournament that we should play Bellingham OR Foden. It's the whole Gerrard, Lampard thing again. Play one for 60 minutes and then sub for fresh legs. Impact sub coming on. Gordon and Palmer getting past players on the wings is the key to our success.
100% Agreed. I like Saka very much but Arteta's system has made him a bit too safe. It's great that he tracks back and defends, but it affects his offense. That's why would pick Cole Palmer over him when more fire power is required. Use Saka to keep possession and stretch the field
I think you're right here. I think we need Mainoo to help control and move the ball upfield. I think Foden is contributing more in the last 2 games than Bellingham.
This is the management skills of a computer. One is better than the other. 37 appearances and 4 goals says a lot.
Dropping Bellingham is the right choice for me. Last two games he hasn't produced. No attacking threat, kept losing the ball and his attitude was wrong. All this hype could be having a negative effect, so to be benched and bringing Foden in as the 10 makes sense. Get natural wingers like Gordon and Palmer/Saka out wide should help the balance and give the opposition defence far more problems with the threat in behind. Kane should get more opportunities then too. Worth a shot in the last 16 I think.
If Southgate starts Palmer, Mainoo and Gordon in the next game and we lose, nobody will be outraged at Southgate. If we lose while starting with the same players we've had in the last three games... that would be fucking shit.
My god after watching loads of videos like this today what you are saying makes sense to me. Best analysis video I've seen. From Justin in West Midlands, England 🏴.

Henderson is the big miss in this England team!! He was the best 8 England had and they left him out!!
Hey Rory, you should be the new England manager, agreed with everything you said about the changes that NEED to happen but Sidegate is so stubborn, he might change Gallagher for Mainoo but I'm afraid that will probably be the only change😢.
Mainoo did really well, wouldn’t mind starting him in the next game.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE play a proper left wing. Foden, Trippier isn’t working. Jude and Foden’s average position was basically exactly the same.
Southgate played the same starting 11 (minus 1) 3 games in a row when he said they had fitness issues is INSANE. They all looked gassed. Jude needed a rest. Kane needed a rest. Trippier and Walker needed a rest. Saka needed a rest. Rice needed a rest. Stones is injury prone and just played 3 90s in 9 days.
If Trent, Mainoo and palmer play on the RHS, it will be beautiful and there will be so many chances.
Sky showed an avg player position and Jude and Foden were overlapping.
Start with one and sub the other in at 65 mins.
Both big names so Southgate won't do it...
IF SOUTHGATE DONT PLAY MAINOO OR PALMER NEXT GAME IM CONVICED HE DOES NOT WANT TO WIN ENGLAND A TROPHY!!
HE NEEDS TO STOP MESSING ABOUT WITH OUR GREAT YOUNG TALENTS BUT TACTICALLY HOWEVER SOUTHGATE AWFUL SADLY 🤧
Bro before England kicked a game you picked Saka on the right low it
Saka : first name on the team sheet?!?!?!?!
Utter nonsence.
And why not he's not the problem when bellingham and foden keep trying to Drift into the middle Palmer won't change anything stop looking for someone to be the saviour.
Lineup for next game is obvious Pickford, trent, stones, guehi, walker, rice, mainoo/jude, foden in the 10, gordon left, palmer right, Kane
yes
The whole country can see it but 5 million pound Southgate can’t, ironic isn’t it.
Nope. Kane up top, foden still on the left, saka still on the right and probably Wharton in the midfield 💀
I’d keep saka on the right but palmer can come on for him or foden
My preferred England side right now:
Pickford GK
Saka LB - Branthwaithe LCB - Stones RCB - Trent RB
Mainoo CDM - Bellingham B2B - Palmer CAM
Gordon LW - Watkins S - Foden RW
I'd have the likes of Grealish available for the Euros, cus he provides something nobody else does. But Southgate likes milk toast, boring in every single way.
the only reason I would keep Trippier is that Gordon should be on the left and he is Trippier's teammate and knows him, and he is capable of good deliveries, imagine Gordon running at the opposition from a Trippier pass up the left.
Foden played great when he drifted into the middle. He literally controlled the game most of the time in the first half
haha, Gordon done more in 5 mins than half of em in 3 games lol. Fucking potato we got as a manager is useless man
He's smart at protecting himself tho late subs to make it impossible for em to come on and show him up by playing well or god forbid even score a winner
@@ashwilliams4959 if I was those players I'd be thinking you know what don't even bother putting me on lol
@DarnallDubois luckily that is their attitudes so when they do eventually come on, they play with freedom and completely ignore southgates tactics. Hence we saw more from Gordon in 20 secs than the favourites in 3 games
Gordon killed it in his 5 minutes
By putting the ball out to touch?…I want him to start, but ease up on the glaze
Hahaha he was average
@@Daniboi971 literally did the only pass in the game that created a decent chance.
Bellingham is the main problem. Its crazy we are putting the team around him. Just coz he plays for real Madrid, confident, and plays up to the camera doesn't make him a great player. He is no different to Mctominay to me
Gordon for Bellingham, Foden Central, Palmer for Saka. Kobe and Rice in midfield.
What was lacking was forward passes and forward runs, Its easy to blame Trippier but he looks to pass the ball forwards but is forced inside/back due to lack of forward runs/movement.
On the 4 occasions that we actually made a forward run and pass we created chances.
Gallagher is basically just owen hargreaves with a man bun, He runs around a lot but plays no part in the game, Hes actually frightened of the ball.
Kane looks overweight, slow and isolated, he then drops into midfield and inevitably has to fall over when he has to accelerate or comes under pressure.
Which makes the midfield even more congested. Which it already is with foden coming inside.
That would be a far better team and a team of players in the same wavelength.
@anshumansahu1087 we have some really good players but we can't play them all. Because it doesn't work. We need to pick players that will enable the system to function. Not necessarily the best players.
I’m a Geordie and a trippier fan but he was doing my head in. That ball he put into the box (which Gallagher and Kane both missed) is that he should be doing EVERY time he has a bit of space then he becomes an outlet rather than a blockage.
That’s his game, it’s all he can offer of Foden is MIA and not offering overlaps
@mikem9309 I agree 👍🏼 I think there needs to be more forward runs to both in possession and without. And they are all guilty of not making them. the left hand side was effectively dead space. That's why in my opinion, Gordon unlike foden will make forward runs. Trippier is a solid full back and I don't think he was solely responsible for not making forward runs or playing forward passes.
Loving the content Rory cheers brother
I don’t blame the players - it is all the manager’s fault. All these players are brilliant when they play for good managers.
Palmer and Mainoo were difference makers when they came on. Mainoo is the key in midfield, the kid is the perfect partner for Rice and Jude. He can connect defence to offence perfectly. Palmer is the perfect super sub for either Foden or Saka. He was by far the most dangerous player when he came on.
Rory's brutal ratings gives Kieran trippier a generous (his words, not mine) a 4/10
Your every criticism of Trippier (4) applies equally to Foden (7).
It is quite wrong to castigate Trippier for never going down the outside whilst turning a blind eye to the fact that Foden cut inside all the time.
(Of course it isn't their fault. Neither of them should be playing on the left.)
Agreed- trippier has been off it but he has been left stranded on that side and he is far from the only player only ever knocking it back.
Why is everyone forgetting that Gomez was trained and started as a LB. He would be way more impactful than Trippier and bring some balance.
7 for Foden but 6 for Saka is VILE 😂😂😂
It really isnt, Foden did much more than Saka did and that's a fact. I dont know what game you were watching mate.
Saka done nowt
I think it’s fair
A 7 and a 6? Foden a 6 saka 5. They were not good didn't have a good game 😂 foden did some stuff in the first half with Kane linking up but bruh
Foden had more of the ball and did worse. Foden had Jude holding width for him and Tripper coming inside to support him.
Saka had Gallagher and Walker - dreadful support and still managed to link up play and assist with the build up.
Rizzler paper 😂 fodens whole body was offside
How is Bellingham undroppable? He's been dross this tournament. Imagine sacrificing an actual creative talent like Foden for this fraud with trampoline feet and thinking its a good thing.
Saka looked more fit this game than the Denmark game and he played really well when he had the ball
What's amazing is the future of England's midfield is Wharton and Mainoo. It's such a shame that Southgate feels he has to 'protect them'. Other managers worth their salt would have them straight in, no ifs, no buts.
If Phil phoden wasnt offside than Rice wouldn't have seen that pass, he was comfortably off aswell.
For once I actually agree with you. The team dynamic changed completely when Gordon and mainoo came on. We looked balanced and had more threat on the left. Which obviously opened up the right wing for Palmer to be more dangerous. What people are wrongly doing now though is saying Palmer should play over Saka. if Saka had the time Palmer did we would've scored.
Mainoo, Rice, Gordon, Bellingham, Palmer and Kane should start the next match as front 6. Foden and Saka can come of the bench to make an impact.
However, even if we get our best starting XI right on paper, we still may not look like a well coached team, as there is no combination play.
Imagine 45 mins of Foden and then Bellingham come on. We need to use the squad in the correct position
Na subs are just for wasting time
I think the next game is our last surprise opportunity to try Bellingham as an 8 before it gets serious
trippier was one of the most creative players in the league last season, just made some mistakes at one period in the cups, overall he was totally fine… and in this game the best chance of the whole game (gallaghers missed header) was from a trippier cross… not sure what you’re talking about with them targeting trippier, considering they had no attacks all game lol
btw livramento was injured during selection
Trippier should be putting those balls in every time he has some space
Even taruqi lampty would be a better option at left back the a knackered Luke Shaw
Even though England is now on the easy side of the bracket, I don’t think any of the others teams are scared of them
It was clearer than ever last night that Southgate has instructed the full-backs to not overlap.
Well, I've worn each of my three England shirts...I'm completely out of ideas.
Get a French or German shirt cause England's out next game
I am A Liverpool supporter and I am not English and couldn’t give a shite about England tbh but I think Gordon , Palmer must start ahead of Foden and Saka. I would start Trent in his position fullback, I would drop start Rice, Maino, and Jude in the Midfield and I am sorry (I love Kane) but I would start Watkins .
Scouse victim merchant 🙄 Wonder what your passport says…
Trents fault though, right?
Alan shearer said it after the Denmark game
Kane need’s another striker up there with him to run in behind or just someone on the pitch to run in behind him because he doesn’t have the pace to do it.
I would really play 4 in the middle: Rice as a 6, Mainoo and Jude as 8s, Palmer and Gordon as Interiors, and probably no Kane but Foden as a false 9.
That way either Mainoo or Jude can link up with Palmer, Gordon or Foden without fear of loosing possession. Crosses for headers should be just a sixth of England's chances. Yet Southgate believe Kane's headers should be the most used threat. Linkup 1st touch play should be what these breed should kill opponents with.
Kane not being on the end of that Trippier cross early on is quite frankly criminal imo. You can't score 30+ that season for Bayern Munich and somehow not get to a chance like that
Let's be fair, he was probably expecting a sideways pass rather than a shot/cross
The ownership is right for wanting to sell gallagher a headless chicken and a road runner
Even Dan Burn was an option. He is tall, plays LB & can also play CB
Trippier was not a problem at Newcastle. He had some poor games around Christmas when he had personal issues. Trippier finished joint 3rd in the assist ranking this season even though he missed 10 games through injury. I agree he is ineffective as left back but he is one hell of a right back. GS is just so uninspiring and tactically inept. Why the hell play him at left back?
Rory thanks for the unbiased opinion
Palmer should be the first off the bench, either for Bellingham, Saka or Foden which are players who can win you a game on their own. The biggest decision for the next game should be Walker at left back and TAA on as a right back.
Saka started out playing left back successfully for Arsenal. Swap him for Trips. Play Cole Palmer. Trent needs runners (Gordon, Watkins) to let his wondrous passes shine. We pinned back Slovenia making it hard for us to score. If you don’t draw them out, how can Trent function?
Decent review from Rory 🤯 I’d disagree with the Guehi ranking as he was our best defender and candidate for MOTM although agree he was better in the first two games, I would’ve given him 7
We will be playing the Dutch on Sunday and on Monday going home
Rory we're shite Southgate has to go now he's clueless, got the easier side of the draw, bet we still don't make the final. Players need to throw him off the plane on the way home.
Palmer was the standout. But I was very impressed with Gordon. He was tearing through, cutting back into dangerous areas. Nice to see the team not just passing sideways and back when those two came on. They and Mainoo must start. Even Bellingham should be off if he doesn’t perform.
Jude and Vini have the same problem when they play for their countries
With England already through before the game kicked off, that was the game to rest and rotate. Saka needs a rest as does Jude. I would start with Gordon on the Left. Palmer on the right, just to give Saka that rest. Is there any mileage on starting Saka at Left back ? He has played there before and that would provide that overlap on the left side with Gordon. Start Palmer on the right.
I'd start Saka and swap him for Palmer when necessary, but it's that left side that's the problem and I agree with a lot of what you said, but Southgate needs to listen
Putting Anthony Gordon on for 1 minute is a disgrace. Pure lip service to the fans. Feel sorry for the lad..Southgate is a joke. Pickford is just a cheerleader he has mistakes in him too..
If Kane wants to be a number 10, then play him there and put a genuine striker up front who'll actually stay up there and actually make runs in behind.
Spends so much time near the halfway line acting like a midfielder and leaving no one to pass it to up front
Too many players look either shattered , out of form , or square pegs in round holes , yet Southgate carries on picking them regardless. Slovakia : pickford , trent , guehi , stones , walker , rice , mainoo , bellingham/foden (depending on foden's availability) , gordon , kane , palmer . More balance , creativity , pace . Obviously he won't pick that team .
At one point in the second half i saw Jude on right wing, foden in central midfield and mainoo in the 10 role.
I'm not even an England fan but i was like what on earth is going on here
Mad isn’t it, he was on the left wing for large parts of the game. Southgate’s obviously told jude to go out wide to allow foden to come into more central positions. But he doesn’t seem to realise that you don’t fix an issue of a player out of position by playing another player out of position. It’s like seeing a guy drowning and then grabbing a hose
Rice and Jude
As a 2 played together at the World Cup
And it was good
Need to see more of palmer so I think him and Gordon should be in the attack with Kane and then Foden is our best 10 so must play there. Trent at rb with Walker at lb works as well
Saka didnt look knackered. You're simply wearing your Chelsea hat, and simping for Cole Palmer. Saka's all round combination play was excellent. I wish people would stop making him the chop guy.
The problem is he won't drop his favourites, ie: if your strikers not working change him, too much favouritism for the big six clubs.
🤔 but kanes not at a big 6 club.. easy arguments aren't always right, quit parroting
I think we had qualified and should have played the others, they would not have let the team down. Playing Gordon and Palmer and even Bowen have been positives and improved the team. Last night Bellingham seemed to be tripping over his own feet. I think 4-1-4-1 or 3-2-4-1 is the formation.
Palmer was more productive In that cameo than Saka all tournament. Saka has pace, but his crossing has been poor thus making him a waste. Jude needs to be benched, he was a monster In game one, looked a king strutting around. But the last two games he’s disappeared.
The three subs this game should have started. Funny how the fans cheer for subs that everyone but the manager knows should have started.
Drop this overrated Arsenal player. For years they keep overrating their mid players and you lot still keep being baited. He is not a good player, he wouldn't play for Arsenal if he was.
Is it too late to make those changes? We should have played AG, CP, and CM from the start to see how they got on. Move JB to CM and PF to AMC. I think they would have smashed it. Now, can we risk making these changes in the knockout stage? I think Southgate has to be brave and do it. PF is golden, he should be our number 10. Playing in that role, we would tick like a Swiss watch going forward.
THE solution is....playing Bellingham as a false 9, replacing Kane. The time to play Trent at RB was in the group stage; too risky when he comes up against Mbappe, Williams and the like. Gomez to replace Trippier. Keep Palmer as the 60 minute closer, also Watkins. Need better-timed subs.
frimpong running at trippier? dont worry lad koeman is benching him for dumfries who was benched by darmian all season 🤣
Saka has got to be the most overhyped player I’ve ever seen.
Galagher energized the midfield.omg. what game was you watching.🙈
Rice was awful in the first half. Was being bypassed when we had possession. Hiding behind the opposition when he should have been getting into space. He was the reason there was nothing centrally. No one in the centre, other than Foden when he drifts, takes the ball on the half turn
Awful all the time. Side pass, back pass, to get good stats.
Generous on Kane. He is the biggest problem. Dropping deep, he’s only in the box half the time. Clutters the midfield. He doesn’t even help the counter by holding up the ball because he is elsewhere. The team is NOT suited to his deep play. We need a striker moving and making runs. Pressing better. Southgate, the fool, has given him a free license to roam. A world class midfield to generate chances .... for no natural striker. Kane is killing us.
Just feel like it was a wasted oppurtunity to try Rice, Bellingham, Foden in the centre and put a (incredible suggestion here) WINGER out wide on the left like Gordon or Eze, we were through anyway
Declan Rice was so bad yesterday. Shocking. Amongst many others obviously. 7/10 is outrageous
Saka should never be dropped, he Should Play RW first - Then LW and if all this not work put him LB
I think us England fans have got the wrong end of the stick with Southgate. He is very English and appears to be willing to sacrifice himself for the greater cause with his strategy because this is his final tournament and he desperately wants to win it.
What we are seeing I believe is what I call the Les Dawson Piano Strategy and I think some major former England players who are pundits may also be in on it.
I am surprised many people didn't go on more about the untypical fast movement of England in the second half after the substitutions. England was doing some incredible stuff. Then toned it down. They controlled the second half and for a reason. It was part of the strategy
Why LES DAWSON PIANO STRATEGY? Les was a famous comedian in the UK, whose act had a part where he played the piano very badly. You could recognize the song but it was funny bad. We found out after he died that it was an accomplished pianist and that it was incredibly difficult to do what he was doing.
I think GARETH has taken a page out of Les's book and is playing the same tune.
Tournament football is like a poker game. Southgate isn't sitting at the table and shouting "I have a full house !" after the cards are dealt ...if he did no one would commit and bet and he would win nothing. I think Southgate, together with some pundits is leading the opposition into a false sense of security. I think his late subs were to manage the scoreline in case something unexpected happened in the Denmark match. In the end, Denmark was happy for the draw.
I also think the strategy is a huge gamble that could cause explosive damage to any future career but nothing ventured, nothing gained and the rewards are immense. I also think he is very willing to do this gamble and sacrifice his reputation for England, to make amends for that haunting missed penalty.
For me, Southgate is an honorable man who is being treated dishonorably by the England fans.
Let him play his hand ...and give your verdict after. At the moment he is winning.
I think you overhyped Palmer. He was alright, maybe a 6/10. It's hard to evaluate Gordon since he played so little but I thought he was good. For me the starting XI should be Pickford, Arnold, Stones, Guehi, Walker, Mainoo, Rice, Saka, Foden, Gordon, Kane!
If anything Bellingham should be rested in the last 16. Foden can be brought into the centre and Gordon can be on the left.
Imagine playing a Palace lcb, having the in-form Palace lb available, but not even taking him to the tournament. Joke!
If Southgate doesn’t start Mainoo, Gordon and Palmer next game then what are we even doing 🤦🏽
I promise you he will only start mainoo
@@bluesEvanskroHe might not even do that tbf
@@lloyd___ yeah Gallagher will start won’t he, and I swear I’m turning my tele off if I see Jude on the left wing again
Mate, Southgate is a master tactician. He brought England in the good side of the sixteenths lol. No France , Germany,Spain or Portugal haha
i don’t understand how the solution isn’t blatantly obvious, jude is an 8 that makes very good runs into the box. play a midfield 3 of foden, rice and bellingham. with trent at right back he can invert like he does at liverpool to sit alongside rice with foden and jude as the two 10s. if you play gomez at left back then you have a back 3 in possession with trent and rice in front which is defensively solid, while getting the best out of foden and jude. gordan, saka, palmer can all hold width. it’s the same system guardiola and countless others use that works seamlessly.
Can't be using too many liverpool players, the media would have a field day
There is no point swapping players into this dross system. They will just have the same problems, if not worse.
Southgate/his staff/the players surely between them can work out a 3-4-3 system suits them better.
Kane
Bellingham Foden
Saka Rice Mainoo TAA
Guehi Stones Walker
Pickford
Gets players into roles they're good at. Solves the problem of Kane dropping deep, since Bellingham and Foden can stay higher/make runs in behind from both sides.
Gets Trippier off the pitch and has someone on the left that will run in behind/carry the ball.
Saka left back, Gordon ahead of him. Foden 10, Kane & Palmer right wing. Mainoo & Rice midfield. Bellingham drops to the bench (bring him on as a false 9 if Kane struggles). That team has balance & width.
Harsh on Guehi for me!
Palmer was great when he came on. He got at defenders, took them on, played the hard passes and not always looking for the safe option.
But here's the problem. He probably played himself out of contention to start because Southgate will have concerns that Palmer might be too mercurial. I'd honestly play Palmer over Foden right now. Southgate will stick to his rigid system though.
