@@jzozo1Well, hopefully you checked him out in the movie “Mr. Malcolm’s List.” It’s a Regency period dramedy. Theo has a kind of porn stache but is still pretty appealing.
My Lady Jane is a perfect next binge, alternate reality Tudor England with lots of humour and breaking the forth wall

Outlander is amazing, I love Colin and Penelope, but nothing compares to the love Jamie and Claire have. Becoming Jane, Emma (1996) and Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies are also very good movies. Downton Abbey is also a beautiful series.
An excellent list. I wonder if other people think as I do that the brutality in Outlander is so awful that watchers might benefit from being warned of its approach …
I can't watch outlander due to the brutality. I've read the books and could skip the pages, but what I read is still burnt in my memory and gives me nightmares 🙈
The story in Outlander is very interesting but I can't watch it either. It is too much and it's not just bloody - there are scenes that are very offensive, brutal and cruel
I agree. I watched one season of Outlander and the last episode of the first season was just too much for me so I stopped watching it.
The Gilded Age is probably my favorite show!

I loved Reign and enjoy The Gilded Age. Will have to check out a few of the others suggested. I also loved Pride & Prejudice. Great movie.
Nothing compares to P&P with Keira and Matthew and Season 1 of Sanditon with Theo James is the GOAT and nothing yet compares to him ❤

Outlander will get you hooked. The plot, scenery, and just everything is absolutely amazing. Obsessed. I watched Bridgerton after outlander and actually found it kind of flat in the plot. That’s how crazy intense outlander is.
Just FYI, you confused clips from the 2005 Pride and Prejudice film starring Keira Knightly and Matthew MacFadyen, which is the one I think you were intending to refer to. But you also have clips from the 1995 Pride and Prejudice miniseries with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle. The Bridgerton costume designer was inspired by Colin Firth's wet shirt scene in P&P when they had Anthony go into the water in S2. You'll definitely find people who love both of them although personally, I'm always going to go with the 1995 version as the true version.

I like the 2005 version but after watching 1995 series i must say nothing can compare to the latter. The mr. Collins in the 1995 is also extremely entertaining and fun to watch 🥰
Apple TV doesn’t have a big selection like other streaming services but the quality is always on point! I loved the buccaneers so much and can’t wait for a next season.
I loved Reign Megan Follows who plays Queen Catherine she is high on the list of Iconic Queens
This is good! I love me some Theo James so will plan to watch that one. And Gilded Age one curious to see how racism and prejudice was dealt with. After Bridgerton, and as a Black Woman, I need to see me represented.
I watch The Serpent Queen (new season starts 7/12) can’t wait.. Also The Buccaneers (waiting on a new season) and The Gilded Age..

Sanditon is such an amazing show. It’s a shame it’s not as available to watch for everyone though. I had to add an extra channel through prime to watch. Worth every penny in my opinion but not ideal for everyone unfortunately.
I saw it when it was on PBS for free, although I later got Passport to see all the Masterpiece shows. Also tax deductible since PBS is viewer funded 😊
Amazon's Vanity Fair with Olivia Cooke is superb. True to the novel with a smidgen of modernity. Perfection.

Outlander was good.... but I read all the books first and the changes that were made to some things drove me crazy! I knew how a certain thing would impact something else so when I saw the changes start it was a bit of a let down. Still a good show.
Pride and Prejudice... 90's version with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle is the best!!!

I love these types of shows. I think I first became hooked when I watched “Reign”, “Versailles”, “Persuasion”, “The Other Boleyn Girl”, “The Empress”… and a few others (one of them is called something like “The Borgias” that I loved! I think it started Jason Priestley but I could be wrong. Maybe it was just someone who looked like him a bit. 🤷♀️)
Jeremy Irons played the main character in The Borgias.
@@AmpleVibrations1 He was one of the Borgias, but there was a character that started out young early in the series and became the main character as the story progressed. He ended up being the elder and patriarch of the family by the end. I can’t remember if the series was just called ‘The Borgias’ or if there was something more to the title. It was on Netflix when I watched it but it’s gone now unfortunately.
Outlander is a MUST watch. Fr.

I loved My Lady Jane. It didn’t focus on religion but shapeshifters as the outsiders who are unwanted. I thought it was well done and hilarious. Binge watching was easy and ultimately the outcome was good without overdoing the entire thing. Queen Mary was hilariously crazy. She was irl as well, killing so many people.

You know your a fan of historical shows when you’ve seen all the ones suggested because their older shows released before bridgerton. Guess I’ll have to wait for season 4. I want to see Mary and George but I don’t have the subscription

@@boppingyt oh, definitely🫶🏻 just some historical shows I loved: I would recommend the white princess. It has an amazing cast and it really sucks you into historical events. Tudors is an older show but still good and full of drama. Of course Queen Charolette is actually a branch off of Bridgerton and was really well done and I really enjoyed it. I was surprised that it wasn’t one of the recommendations. Victoria is another amazing historical show that was done really well. Lastly if you love period pieces but want something with more humor I enjoyed the show The Great with Elle Fanning. 🩷
