I'll never forget that night I was sitting on the back patio getting stoned out of my mind jamming the music in the candle light and having me a hurricane party by myself. I was lucky nothing happened. But I'll never forget the sound of that wind and that oak tree swaying I thought it was going to come in on me. I know so many who lost so much. I did all I could go help afterwards. A 15-year anniversary believe it or not is coming up in a few days.
This one took out my house, roof caved in and then a tornado spawned literally the other side of my neighborhood. My little brother was a newborn and we didn't have power for five weeks, which in the hot humid summer in the western florida panhandle it was hell.
Hurricanes are so strange in some of the trade offs in strength. Katrina was a 3/borderline 4 when it made landfall, but because of its much higher strength the day before it still brought in an unbelievable storm surge. Hurricane Michael had a relatively small core of hurricane force winds, but it stayed a hurricane almost to Perry,GA and caused severe tree damage and power outages for weeks.
This storm had my city out of commission for six months we were out of power over 6 weeks. Then I rode out Sally so living on the gulf coast is a risk as well
In Pensacola we received the bad art starting at 7 something that night we received tornados later which came in my love one and my family neighborhood. I do dread hurricane season every year but I deal with it and ride it out
2:04 love cantore's little flourish there with his right hand
My senior year at UWF.. we were up for 3 days straight !
And Dave Schwartz!

You know what nobody's talking about? The fact that the hurricane advisory said it was 135mph. It almost never says that nowadays.
It doesn’t make any sense
This storm nearly killed me, Truly a storm and night I will never forget.

A legend!
Ivan was a killer storm
I was in 4th grade when this storm came through the Panhandle, i remember it like it was yesterday
I was in the 5th
Niceville, Fla., had a lot of damage. No school for two weeks...I was a sophomore in high school.
I remember this back then When I move fl in 2003 till Ivan hit us brings back memories how my fam get together when we prepare a storm
oh my god.. my nana and granddad had to go through this..
(they are alive, and im so thankful for that)
That music is horrifying. Jesus christ y'all had it rough in the 2000's.
Me and my family rode out hurricane Ivan in Pensacola it was one rough night
Me too!

I was 6 and I remember the the power line crew giving us pizza

I lived in Montgomery and when I was a kid I was so scared of Ivan that I had a panic attack at home! God I hated this hurricane more than Harvey!
I live near Birmingham and we had a lot of wind and rain but our power only blinked a few times.
My mom remembered this storm.
I was 5 months old when Ivan was occurring.
4:50 looks just like katrina...
Ivan made Atlanta Rekt
Ivan made a circle and then back around to Louisiana
I glad I was born 2 years after this:)
Mzzz Sonara lol ol young azz 😁 you lucky it was a bad hurricane for Pensacola Florida
Do you have any coverage of Ivan from TWC when it was moving through the Caribbean before reaching the Gulf of Mexico?
the only hurricane to make landfall twice
Katrina, Irma, Harvey, Andrew, and I think Wilma made landfall twice.
I remember that . That hurricane was like I missed a spot the first time and came back to nearly same area
Hurricanes commonly make landfall multiple times
it was powerful storm in Florida USA 2004
No way were those the latest sustained winds. Not when it was that close.
At least 60mph off by that point for sure
I was born during this huricane
my name is Ivan
Jose Candido No way Jose
^^Oxymoron
Hi my name is Hurricane Ivan I'm Katrina's twin
Katrina's older brother.
She just had to come in and show him up.
What do you know I was born in this sh!t. Well, I just turned 13 and I decided to look at what the heck it looked like when I was born.
that's me
...and a storm like this will never hit this area again in our lifetimes.
WHAT?!? You must not have been around when Camille or Fredrick hit us. Much more devastation.
