Aaaaaaaaa......WOW, thank you, THANK YOU, Paldies, Obrigado 💯💯💯 This means so much for my channel🫡 When you come to Portugal, beers on me 🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹 Made my day 👍👍👍
I can be honest about this one. At first when I started youtube I tried to write scripts and things I will say, but I filmed couple of videos and it looked really bad 😄 Even my voice changes if I read or memorize text. So I stopped doing that😁 Somebody in my comments also said that my videos looks like I'm just wandering around. Well it is true 👌 Most of my videos are just wandering around and filming it 🇵🇹 Thank you bro for feedback, appreciate 💯
He is very talented. You can see it from the video editing, how it is put together so perfectly. The music, the narrating, the video shots, simply perfect.
Bom Dia Andrejs, Where to start... Caldas is famous for thermal waters, ceramics, it's fruit & vegetable market and phallus... cookies, ceramics... they are all over the place. I'm glad you saw the market... I've always wondered why that building has not been regenerated. I've heard they were unfinished military barracks. They are gorgeous. I've not been to the ceramics museum but I have been to the ceramics factory & shop, close by... Bordallo Pinheiro. I happily purchased a couple of pretty pieces to bring home with me. Caldas does have everything one would need and I know of a few ex-pats who've moved there. I know a woman who's 3 kids (they are from the States) go to the school there and they said it's fantastic. The mall is OK. It's not that big, but you can find a lot of what you might get at a mall (for those living there). I hope you drove around and saw some of the residential areas. It's great that it is fairly close to the ocean, if you have a car... and it is well located and easy access by car, train or buses. Rents are a bit cheaper in Caldas than Peniche. Looking forward to Foz video!!
Hey Jen 🖐 Now I know why chin-chin is traditional pastry in Caldas 😁😁😁 I walked by this Bordallo Pinheiro workshop, but didn't have time to look inside. This building if I understood correctly from Jose will be restored, don't believe it will be fast, but anyways that's good news. Caldas has everything, but I think I prefer Lourinhã, Torres Vedras more. These are my 2 Top places where I would want to live in the future, for now, still more to explore. But from tourist perspective, Caldas is great destination. Thank you for your comment 🙂👍
I would agree with you on your choices... I have only been to Torres Vedras to the mall so I don't know the city but it looks very good from the video. I could see myself living in Lourinhã.@@millionplacesoneworld
Hey🖐 Good to hear from you again🫡 So you visited Caldas 11 years before I was born, I would want to see the difference from that time. Thank you for your comment 👍
you stayed at the same hotel i stayed at for about a week there.. you know there are elderly and disabled people living there, did you notice at breakfast? that is a very kind place, although very humble.. the whole city is like that, ... it is like real portugal .. i really enjoyed my time there.
I skipped breakfast, but I think I was alone in that hotel, didn't see anybody else 😁 Caldas was again, completely different from what I'm used to see, enjoyed my time there in different way(not just beaches and palm trees)👌
Another informative video. 👍🏻 I’ve seen a few videos about CdR before-all positive reviews, so thanks for showing the old hospital, museums and beach area. For a city in PT, except maybe for the area near the old hospital, CdR looks fairly flat-surprising. You raise an interesting point about abandoned buildings in PT. We visited PT three times are were surprised how many existed. Our understanding is many are due to PT laws that require family to be in agreement on how to sell the building. The large building you observed must be a separate situation (owned by city?). It looks beautiful so hope it can be restored someday. Cheers. 👋🏻
Thank you 👍 I see in every city/town/village abandoned houses. Even in Cascais there is huge building(I don't know hotel maybe) next to million euro properties. I also heard about family member cannot decide what to do with the property. 🤷♂️ Caldas is one of the flattest places I've been I think 😁
The pavilions in the park were constructed in the late 1800 as a place for recreation. Visitors for the thermal spas/hospital could stay in the pavilions and use the park for relaxation and recreation. Later on the pavilions were used by the army, the police, the local newspaper, for education/schooling as well as for exhibitions by the Caldenses. The plan is to restore the buildings and make them into a 5-star hotel hosted by the Visibeira Group, the company that now owns the ceramic brand Bordalo Pinheiro that was founded in Caldas da Rainha. Sadly the building caught on fire last year demolishing one of the roof tops but they intend to restore it when starting to work on the hotel project.
@easypeasylemonsour Hello 👋 Thank you! To answer your question, yes, I think the park is pet-friendly and well-suited for animals. However, I believe you need to keep pets on a leash because there are many birds, children, and other potential distractions😁
It is a medicional water hospital. There are others hospitals like this, but modern ones, in Portugal. O termo Caldas da Rainha refere-se à existência de águas termais usadas pela Rainha D.Leonor, esposa de D. João II, que aqui fundou em 1488 um hospital, que também subsidiou. Caldas da Rainha é cidade desde 1927.
When you say it like that, it actually makes sense. I like the classic street look in Portugal, even if the paint, etc., isn't perfect🙂 This building only needs to be preserved so it doesn't collapse👌
@@millionplacesoneworld perservation is necessary yes, but to see untouched buildings brings notalgy and a sense of Past and as you know Fado is Saudade the look at the great heróic Past of our nation and the nostalgy of something that is about to come in the future but never arrives because the past is the past and we don't live the past twice But we can dream it on 💞
