  • Spend five minutes (ish) getting the body ready to sing! Do this before you start your vocal warm up or when you're feeling like you've got some vocal tension and want to release your singing muscles.
Why pre warmups? The pre warmup is an opportunity to get blood flowing to the muscles and release any tension before using them to produce sound. This helps to eliminate strain, singing tension, discomfort, and avoid voice loss or injury while singing. While this might feel like an easy step to skip, this can be crucial in help prepare your voice to be used to sing whatever your heart desires!
Who is LMT? I'm Lauryn! And I'm a voice teacher and NYC actor/singer who's been teaching for seven years. I opened my fully virtual voice and theatre studio in 2020 to help students of all ages and experiences levels to develop their technique, build confidence, and tell stories with song. It's a privilege to join you on your vocal journey!
