Great video! My business partner and I are starting a gourmet and medicinal mushroom business in Delaware. We just ordered two 10x10 grow tents and I am working on developing the liquid culture to inoculate large amounts of substrate quickly. I went to University of South Florida Tampa for my Chemical engineering degree. I had a house on Siesta Key and I really miss Florida!!!
I am a brand from Amazon and have been following your channel. I really enjoy your content and would like to collaborate with you. How can I get in touch with you?
Great info, ty for sharing! Have you considered expanding into value-added products like dried mushrooms or shroom coffee mixes? Even selling the spent medium as mushroom compost fetches a good profit I'd guess.
We give away the compost to local farmers, as a way to give back to our community. I believe it is important in business to offer something for free, such as these videos, or free compost and advice. Additionally, value added goods (Mushroom tinctures) are 25% of our sales. Thanks!
If you're trying to produce 50lbs of fresh mushrooms a week, i would get a used steel barrel for cheap, and plug a vevor steam generator into it. As long as you can get it to a core temp of 180 degrees for 4 hours you should have pasteurization. If you want to spend a bit more, Cactus hat mushrooms has a great video on building a steam barrel. Good luck!
really loved the video thank you so much. I am from France and I am currently working on an office, and living on an apartment with my girlfriend. There is little space to frow mushrooms, what would you recommend to start growing the mushrooms. maybe renting another apartment or renting land and buying a container?
Try to be as resourceful as possible! Use whatever you have and make it work. Before trying to spend money on land or extra rent, be open to creative solutions! I used an old dirty shed and renovated it to be our first grow space. Maybe a friend or family member has some extra room? Good luck monsieur!
Great Question! I think that is where cold email outreach is most effective. It can help transcend language barriers and set up international wholesale accounts. I havent exported internationally but I have always received cold emails from other companies in this way thanks!

Please, I have a question: What is the required temperature in winter and summer outside the tent in which the mushrooms live, room or warehouse temperature?
We keep our "preconditioning room" 10 degrees higher than our grow room. For example: our grow room is usually 60f, and our pre conditioning room is 70. You can get away with a grow room being 70-80, but it's less ideal.
When you first started where are you selling them to anyone or did you just start growing them and giving them away eating them and just kept growing it then decided to sell them? I’m trying to get into this as well I grow mushies just not those kind!
We started selling them to a few friends, and scaled up from there. Once we were growing enough for a market stand, we started selling in a coffee shop on saturdays. Some saturdays there, we did upwards of $800!
they dont! thats why you need a business card. EDIT: I just remembered that I said sometimes I don't put a business card in there. Sometimes I don't want a wholesale account and I just want to give mushrooms to a restaurant for goodwill or to trade for dinner! haha thank you

What do you recommend for sterilizer for 25-50 lbs a week? Brand and size, please? Thanks 👍 Great content!

Is there an explanatory video on how to grow lion's mane and reishi mushrooms?
That's a lot of info for a comment! perhaps I'll make a video on it soon!

No, we started with a 4x4 grow tent, and you can grow 25-50lbs a week in there if you have a big enough sterilizer!

Please, no background music while talking! It's distracting, especially when the voice record quality is rather poor.
Thank you! I usually don’t have music in the video but I wanted to see if it improved the content at all. I appreciate the feedback!
