I have my bias, my here's my opinion. If we ever beat this virus down and you want to come over here, you'll want to try In-N-Out. I'm not as crazed for them as many are, but it is excellent. Both in terms of value and freshness of the food. Fatburger didn't much love here, but it also is very good. I would say it comes the closest to a what a good burger from home is like. The Habit is great, but beware as they have been bought out recently by Yum Inc....they are the people who run and have ruined KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut. Lastly, Five Guys is a solid burger, especially if you like to order a burger with lots of veggies. However, the price is a bit excessive, in my opinion.

I was born in LA and have tried them all. So many good ones but IN IN OUT is so special. Also the Bobs big boy burger in Burbank CA is one of my favorite.

Love your vlogs! The Habit started in Santa Barbara so if you’re ever in SB, try The Habit here (still owned and operated by the brothers who are the original owners and not part of the chain). Try the location in Goleta (original) or the one at La Cumbre Plaza, taste and quality better than the chain Habit..
I grew up down the street from the original Fatburger that started way back in 1947 on South Western Avenue (now closed) so I'm a bit biased. But what I've realized after all these years that with the exception of the size of the bun which is slightly smaller now, the basic "Mr. Fatburger" has not changed much. You still have to wait a bit longer than at most places. Bill, It looks like you got the XXL with cheese (formerly known as the "Double King Cheese") Most folks in LA feel that The Habit & Five Guys essentially copied the FB formula. BTW, back in the day it was popular to order your burger with a fried egg on top...Try it, you'll like it!

We got our first fast food resturant in our small boarder town when I was 10yrs old. The golden arches changed our town with the Big Mac lol. BTW Whataburger still drop that Apple or lemon pie in hot greese 🍎🍋
Make sure you get a crown! I had a root canal, kept putting off the last step of getting a crown due to procrastination. Less than a year later, that same tooth cracked (due to it being hollow for the root canal) and I needed to get it extracted. :-(
Have you ever been to a Hamburger Hamlet restaurant? It was a LA based burger restaurant chain with branches as Far East as Washington DC. I love their burgers and chicken wings with apricot sauce.
Tried In-N-Out (Vegas Linq promenade) for the first time and it was meh for me. Was super excited after hearing all the raves. I had the double double.
On a road trip years ago, I got the 5 guys five patty cheeseburger. The regular comes with 2 patties each additional is 2 bucks. Had too many drinkies and much of it hit the hotel room floor. I love In and Out but never cared for the fries. Thank you for the tip ...tell them crispy.

Good question, Jerome. Since there're many version of the Juicy Lucy floating around in the Twin Cities, they're in a category all themselves. So they wouldn't fit into this LA cheeseburger comparison.
My List from best to worst with cost not being a factor. 1 The Habit 2 IN N out 3 Fatburger (Haven't had it in years. So, ranking is somewhat questionable.) 4 At a very, very, very, very distant fourth, Five Guys. I don't like soggy food.
Five Guys cheeseburger is 600+ calories, almost 700, I believe. They do post the calorie count for all of their items. All the places are very good in their own right but so unhealthful. This turns into more of a ‘blood sport’.
I had a chicken sandwich from Habit Burger. It was disgusting. Haven't tried their burgers. Fatburger has made me sick everytime I've eaten there. However, theyre opening a Fatburger closer to me so I may try out this one. Hopefully I won't get sick.

Maybe because you are nasty? People like In N Out because the food is fresh, nothing frozen, a simple menu which means fast service, and real Ice cream shakes. So don't be a Dunce or you'll have to stand in the corner with your dunce cap on! Hahaha!

WHataburger is just the standard being from Texas. Double Meat, Double Cheese with large fries and large soda for roughly $10.. The burgers are much bigger than other burgers as well. Next time you are in Phoenix for Little Miss BBQ, there is a WHataburger only 2 miles down the road on 48th Street.
I've eaten at In&Out twice, not impressed at all. Meat tastes flat. My taste buds must be different from everybody else's. Their fries are soft and limp. Also, their menu is very limited. I like The Habit, burgers are prepared well and they have a greater menu selection with chicken sandwiches, veggie burger, salads, ahi tuna & tri-tip sandwiches, avocado & mushroom toppings and great fries, always crisp, sweet potato fries and tempura green beans. Not tried the other two, so can't comment.
Habit does have an extensive menu, love their onion rings there! You can order your fries at In-n-Out extra crispy, not that it'll persuade you try try them a third time, but just incase your friends drag you along for a burger run. lol

When I tried In-and-out in October I was underwhelmed. The burger had no flavor. I was disappointed, people hyped it up so much.
