  • With a few skeins of super bulky yarn you can whip up the perfect accent rug for your room. The texture of our basket weave rug is thick and squishy under your feet.

What is the stitch multiple for this pattern? I love the pattern and want to make a rug for my bathroom but I want to use cotton yarn.

The afghan I made using same pattern of 4 front then 4 back was a multiple of 8 plus 7.

hi, Britney ! thanks for your tutorial, I'm ready to work on it. And I have a question, why do you need 64 chains for the first row? I can see that the extra two chains are for standing up for double crochet and one is for a double crochet to leave at the end of the row, then what is the another one for?

I think I might be able to answer this for you. I made a beautiful afghan using this same pattern and the stitch count was important because if it's off your pattern won't come out right. The afghan I made was 4 back post then 4 front post so if I was a stitch over or under the pattern wouldn't have been 4 front then 4 back. I hope this helps as I'm not always good at putting it down in words. I'm much better at showing someone something. God bless!
