When my father died of cancer he said two very interesting things. He knew nothing about non-duality, but a few days before he passed he said "The part of me that was Vern has already left," clearly talking about the ego self. Then in the morning of the day he died he said simply "Today is a good day to die." A few hours later he was gone.

I will read up on Ego. What is ego? How does it define us? etc.

Loved listening to this, thankyou...I’m a big fan of Peter, it was lovely to see Elizabeth and Peter ...perfect
I had an aneurysm on my lung a few years ago, I thought I was goin to die, despite the pain, I was not afraid of dying, not afraid of the pain but the thought of not telling those close to me that I loved them utterly destroyed me....when the sun rose the next day and I was still alive, I knew I was profoundly blessed and still am...❤️🥂

Was talking to my brother in law 2 years ago that i think about death while everyone thinks about life. I told him when we go to bed each night and get up in the morning, aren't we another day closer to death? The older i get time is more important than anything else. I removed myself from pretty much everyone bc i stopped being a people pleaser and working on myself. So glad stumbled into your channel. Thanks for your work and time.

I’m here watching another of your videos because my son’s mother in law and my kind, sweet friend Kathryn Dunbabin passed away 23/02/21.. We spoke about your book, the truth in the light, some months ago, that I read some 23 years ago when my sister was widowed and how Kathryn had been to see Peter and corresponded with him near the end of her life. I know that she found a lot of comfort from your chats and observations.. however I am still devastated by the loss and the impact it will have on her children, grandchildren, husband, family and friends.. I will miss her dearly 😢

Thank you Elizabeth Fenwick and Dr Peter Fenwick for this talk on death; depression - during the process of passing through the letting go process, supporting others going through acceptance of the process. Sigmund Freud paradox vs Carl Jung or both.

My takeaway from this video :
Staying in nature has healing effects
    Death Literacy movement
End Freud’s paradox , whenever we talk about death we have to talk about our own death and not others.
We should look forward to death as a wonderful experience , it’s nothing new, nothing scary , nothing I haven’t done before. I have reincarnated many times.
The Art of Dying has to be learnt.
    Thanks for this video

Hey, peter and Elizebeth - I truly believe that you guys have hit the nail clearly on the head here. After years of thinking about my NDE and all the amazing things that have taken place in my life as a result of it, I have come to the conclusion that death is waking up. As Nichiren taught 'life in this world is but a dream within a dream and the true reality is at Eagle Peak (enlightenment), which exists within all of us, regardless of whether we are consciously aware of it or not.

I always thought our body was the temple of our soul. I now believe we live in a non reality realm, that our body enslaves our soul and spirit in it. Death is entering reality.

My introduction to NDE's was in 1995 by attending two public venues of Dannion Brinkley. It eventually led me to Tom Campbell's work, which happened in 2009.

The comments around self-withholding of food and water in the days or weeks prior to dying are very interesting. DRY FASTING can allow one to experience now the euphoria and intense clarity of mind while minimising the food digesting, processing and elimination stresses on the body. Dry fasting means consuming no food or water for a period of up to 7 and 10 days at the far end of the experience.

How would you comment on the state of consciousness in different dying experiences? such as someone dying during a coma or is sedated or in his/her sleep versus someone who is fully awake then transitioning into death. I would love to hear how the different death experiences relate to the level of consciousness.

    • @razony
      @razony 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

I think I know what your asking. I believe all experiences are beautiful and peaceful if you so desire. Free Will is the key hear. When it's your time to go naturally, your going to have a nice transition. When you go inexpertly like a accident or suicide, you may not know you have passed and stick around. (Explains ghosts) If one does not believe in life after death, they just may NOT BE AWARE they are passed. We will all go home eventually. Hoped that helped.

Modern research on Near Death Experience by Raymond moody, reincarnation memories by Ian Stevenson/Jim trucker and past lives regression by Brian Weiss all independently but coincidentally show that our consciousness survive death, we live many lives and our thoughts and actions matter in the hereafter.
So be kind and helpful to others, be virtuous, meditate and cultivate ourselves to higher spiritual levels. Cheers.

I just see us all as living non physical subconscious energy having physically conscious
experiences. The universe or whatever ya call it is a subconscious real life situation we
live in and we all live in a dream state thus whatever you can imagine becomes real life
for many because our thoughts become things. Whether we are awake or asleep we
    exist in a dream state.

I am a firm believer that a human being is a tripartite being of mind, body and soul - soul in which the Divine Spirit is invited to reside.
What you are describing in dying is the release of the soul, not the mind. You are describing the process and symptoms, but not analysis. Like most Westerners, you are approaching this phenomenon from a materialist viewpoint and carefully avoiding the spiritual and religious issues.
Ian McGilchrist makes the same mistake wrt to consciousness. Your working model of the nature of the the human being appears inadequate.
Please consider reading ‘Orthodox Psychotherapy’ by the Metropolitan of Nafpaktos Hierotheos which addresses the importance of the soul.

    • @robynmarler3839
