“Dying Wasn’t Bad at All” | Michèle Bögli's Near Death Experience

  • While Michèle Bögli-Mastria was staying in hospital, she experienced a near-death experience that changed everything in her life.
In this interview, she talks about how these events - that happened exactly on her 21st birthday - came about and how they changed her worldview and her spirituality.
    Contents:
00:44 What happened back then in the hospital?
08:54 This thought of now leaving your earthly existence behind wasn’t disconcerting at all?
11:21 This experience of having all the time in the world, can we understand it as the absence of any measure of time?
12:16 Did you experience your physical pain again?
13:56 With all these dramatic feelings in your heart, how did things evolve? Did you get to talk about this with anyone?
15:50 Are there things that have an altogether different meaning for you today as opposed to before?
17:19 Did your spirituality, your relationship with religion change?
21:06 But in essence, your NDE confirmed the presence of a loving deity?
26:21 What’s your position today on the issue you used to have with God allowing this much calamity?
29:08 Would go as far as saying all pain and suffering is being put in perspective in regard to this phenomenal loving light experience that our human consciousness is actually tied into?
32:01 How did it happen that you started seeing spirit beings?
35:03 Is your ability to see spirit beings a persisting trait?
35:55 How did your professional life evolve after your NDE?
37:35 Is reincarnation a reality for you?
39:39 And have you found for yourself that there was a continuity in issues you are facing now and peeks into past lives brought forth to your conscious mind?
41:08 Do you view reincarnation as an opportunity for personal evolution or is it rather something that we’re all experiencing?
41:54 In summing it up, what is the most important insight you derived from your NDE and your spiritual journey at large, maybe even as a message to everyone interested in finding out more about death and dying?

I have been watching these NDE experiences days after my beautiful son took his life from depression. I am heart broken, in anguish daily and lost and empty. These videos give me hope and understanding that he truly is at peace and is always in the presence of the Holy. Mental Illness is a disease.

I am so sorry to hear that. My brother struggled with his mental health after serving in air force special forces. He walked into the freeway a week before Christmas. I am seeking any proof I can of after life so that I can feel he is still around or at least not suffering and living happily somewhere else. My thoughts are with you.

I died during a 3 and a half hour surgery. I went thru the tunnel to the bright white light and love. It is so powerful also. My tunnel was grayish and souls were with me, loving souls. I was lying down with my head slightly higher so I could see the light as I approached it. I am not afraid to die bc of that experience. Our souls live on! There are no words to describe the love of the light!

What she describes sounds very similar to what I experienced as a toddler after I fell off a jungle gym metal structure. If felt like I floated in this very beautiful, loving and peaceful light. I had the perception that this was it and I died, even though I didn't have a word for death as I was still learning to speak. That was a superconscious experience, and I didn't feel like a toddler but a timeless being. I felt that if I continue to gravitate towards the light I would enter a point of no return and I insisted to return to my life and become the person I was meant to be. That is when the light faded and adults ppicked me up. I don't have any other memories from that early period, but this I remember very vividly.

Death, for me, was an incredible home coming. I was light, and pure love.
I “spoke” telepathically with my former mentor who had transitioned years before, and was shown images that held my higher power as being energy. It was incredibly beautiful, words cannot express it. I was “told” it wasn’t my time and that I had to return.
That was thirty years ago. There is an awesome surprise for you when you pass 😊

I had an appendicitis operation in a hospital in Starkville, Mississippi. I found myself hovering above my body while the doctors were performing the operation, I could see my body from above and the people operating me.. Then I lost consciousness. Then I woke up, my sight blurred but improving, eventually I had full sight, found out that I was on a bed in the hospital. That was many years ago, I still do not understand this whole experience. I am a Malaysian, watching this video from Malaysia. I was once a Malaysian student at Mississippi State University. On the day I was operated, my late mother screamed out of her sleep in Malaysia (it was night in Malaysia while it was day time in Mississippi), calling out loud my name. Oh I just loved her delivery of her NDE account. And really enjoyed listening to Michelle, talk about past lives. I have also been able to self hypnotize to attempt to remove childhood trauma by, "removing the intensity", although i called mine, "changing the outcome" - by inserting my grown up self into the event, thereby saving my child self from that trauma. Yes you can change the past. Thank you for this wonderful interview!

I really needed this today, thank you for sharing this story. So relatable and genuine. It’s hard to find genuine NDE or OBE spiritual experiences that aren’t preaching one religion or another. While I haven’t had an NDE, I’ve had out of body experiences, some weren’t spiritual and others were. I love the Devine analogy of the embroidery picture to explain that humans are only able to see the chaos and messiness of the threads and not the beauty of the full picture. I’ve been too afraid to expand my perceptions by inviting communication, but I do feel and visually perceive loved ones around important and emotional times in my life or my family.

I felt compelled after listening to this beautiful NDE to share the allegory/ the parable she was referring to:
    EMBROIDERY STORY
When I was a little boy, my mother used to embroider a great deal. I would sit at her knee and look up from the floor and ask what she was doing. She informed me that she was embroidering.
I told her that it looked like a mess from where I was. As from the underside I watched her work within the boundaries of the little round hoop that she held in her hand, I complained to her that it sure looked messy
from where I sat. She would smile at me, look down and gently say, "My son, you go about
your playing for awhile, and when I am finished with my embroidering, I will put you on my knee and let you see it from my side."
I would wonder why she was using dark threads along with the bright ones and why they seemed so jumbled from my view. A few minutes would pass and then I would hear Mother's voice say, "Son, come sit on my knee." This I
did only to be surprised and thrilled to see a beautiful flower or a sunset.
I could not believe it, because from underneath it looked so messy.
Then Mother would say to me, "My son, from underneath it did look messy and jumbled, but you did not realize that there was a pre-drawn plan on the top. It was a design. I was only following it. Now look at it from my side and you will see what I was doing."
Many times through the years I have looked up to my Heavenly Father and said, "Father, what are you doing?" He has answered, "I am embroidering your life." I say, "But it looks like a mess to me. It seems so jumbled. The
threads seem so dark. Why can't they all be bright?" The Father seems to tell me, "My child, you go about your business of doing My business, and one day I will bring you to Heaven and put you on My knee and you will see the plan from My side."

These interviews are fascinating to me for many reasons. That these experiences occur at all raises more questions than I can count about consciousness. Even more intriguing to me though is that these experiences don't seem to be particularly well known & when this topic is brushed upon in the mainstream there are two main responses: (1) sensationalism or (2) dogmatic skepticism. We would all benefit from simply listening to & taking in the experiencers stories. That they happen at all is indicative that there is still a lot to learn about who we are.

The secret is in its continuity. I have heard near death experiencers describe it as "it's as easy as walking through a door." Continuity. That's what makes it "life after death." You know you are you as much as you do as when you wake up in the morning and you know you are you.

The part about being in many lives and that this lady was once a villain and in another life a victim and has no direct recollection of these experiences gives me chills. Why do we go through all this (if all this is true at all)?! I see no purpose if we can't use it here and now. Some say these interviews help them loose their fear of death. I was never afraid of it, but if there is any truth in this, now I really am. I don't want to live again, without any control of who I become. All the effort to become somebody in this life will be worthless. Forgotten. I think all this is a great tragedy.

I have been listening to people speak of past lives, especially children. What I have noticed is that all memories are of earth, not of any other world, only earth. So far this gives me the impression that we are all an outgrowth of the planet itself, like leaves on a great tree, we are children and spirits of this planet only. We come and go, and we live multiple lives because our bodies are only temporary vessels between lives on earth while heaven or the spiritual world is a place tied to the energy and the spirit of this very earth because no one ever has memories of any other place except this one. With that, I often wonder what happens when the sun dies and the earth can no longer support life? Is that the end of us on a spiritually too? When the tree (earth) finally dies there are no more leaves (us).
