@@EmptyPagesDream Same, but I saw them with Miss May I, Fit for a King, and August Burns Red. I'm so glad I'm not a "skip the opener and show up halfway through the show" kind of person. Would have missed out on the best part. Ryo's stage presence is on another level and actually keeps up with the energy of their music.

I'm convinced Crystal Lake is the most well rounded band on the planet. You want melodic? Crystal Lake does it. You want dj0nt? Crystal Lake does it. You want 2 step? Crystal Lake does it. They just play whatever the fuck they want and it's always great.

When I got to work with them a few years ago I was absolutely blown away by this band. Sweetest and kindest people and then on stage they completely ruined the crowd with how hard they hit.
I go into every new Crystal Lake song expecting greatness, and I'm still somehow blown away by them

I think, Crystal lake should be considered the pioneers of a new subgenre - atmospheric metalcore. The feelings are just on another level.
Make Them Suffer kinda did that too in their discography, on Ether for example

That chorus sounds like an anime opening in the BEST way possible. The melodies are top tier, the energy is off-the-charts, I can't fucking wait to see Crystal Lake live someday, I love them so fucking much.

I saw them twice last year before lockdown here in Australia. Saw them with Polaris and then with wage war the night after that. Such a good time such a good band.

The two singles are different, but both are soo good. Curse more on the melodic and hxc side, while Mephisto is just a huge slap to the face, heavy and chaotic. Man I love this band!

I can't place it, but the overall sound in this one, as a whole gives me the vibes of 2005-2008ish metalcore and post hardcore. Like it gives me the feeling of nostalgia for that period of time, but I can't place exactly what bands. The part that seems like the "chorus" is the part that does it the most, and I..just can't place exactly why it makes me feel like I'm back in that time period..That was when I was doing guitar for a few bands, and I was heavy into metalcore and post hardcore.
