You weren't kidding; I checked out Cry of the Cat after watching this video, and I thought it was great! I've read a number of Fear Street books, but this was actually my first Goosebumps book. I was impressed. This would have definitely creeped me out as a kid. It made me think of 'Church', the cat from Pet Semetary, maybe that was another reason I liked it so much. But it was a great book on its own merit. Thanks for the recommendation, I feel like this was a good first step into Goosebumps territory for me.

Cry of the Cat is one of my favorites from the series 2000 & I also really like The Haunted Car they are definitely darker and creepier than the original series. Have you seen the tv episode of Cry of the Cat?
Okay! At first I didn't think I had, but then I went and looked up some screenshots from the episode, and I have SUPER vague memories of it!
Just came back here to let you know.... This Rec was enjoyed as an audiobook while making some chapati in the kitchen.
Definitely buying this for a mean kid I dislike...
