Another thing they changed is that when you are using rod stands, you used to be able to hook up the fish, press spacebar to keep the fish, then switch to a rod on the rod stand really quickly. Now, you have to wait for the rod ready animation to finish, then it switches at normal speed. This makes multi-rod fishing much harder.

Next good to know would be what fish are at different depths/ at what speed do you need to set the boat at to troll at the surface/middle and what weight is preferable for these depths. I believe they are going to have to ease up on the big fish fights or up the XP . Its a bit silly having to level up on similar weight fish that we were catching at weeping willows with the ground bait. The games gone backwards. To Get To lvl 83, ya going to need to catch 2250 fish at 1000 XP per fish roughly. Lvl 90 will come in at 9530 at 1000XP per fish roughly. Obviously some unis will be caught giving 22,000 odd xp sometimes but also, a lot of the fish caught are going to be 700XP odd.

Level 83 voor ocean. Je kan een hoop evengoed gebruiken op zee dus zou niet alles thuis laten, en is een nieuwe kar zodat je 300 extra plekjes heb voor gear. Ik vis op kleine vis met mokonzi's en troll met een nile chaser. Superdikke update
The only thing that sucks you can't take the boat to other maps, you can only use it on this map just Terrible, 😢 i hope in update will make it so you can use it on other maps also.
Not true. XP is still same as always. Now they are gonna nerf congo, like they nerfed al lakes when new water is released. However, as of yet you can still farm perch/tigers without xp loss

They have basically killed the night rotations (if any were to become available/actually time worthy) unless ya willing to spend baitcoins to skip. The XP needed to get to 83 is roughly 2.2M ... They have made the tuna time consuming to get in making it a total slog. 9.5M is roughly needed for lvl 90 meaning whatever the best farm is, it's going to be the same thing over and over for a long time. Sorry state of affairs for a new map, the games gone backwards due to greed. Update - as told by KP , free night Jumps are back 👍.
I got banned from the Official discord. I mentioned that FP killed The Fisherman: The Angler after selling them the rights to trolling. Then making a new map that has all the things they sold to another company and removes max drag, time skip, the ability to catch and keep all fish. Sad times. These Devs feel like bad people.
Btw from patch notes,Last but not least, regarding the time-forward cooldown during nighttime: we initially enabled it because many fish species are active at night. However, after hearing your feedback, we’ve decided to revert this change.
@@KpShamino I haven't logged into FP since the release of the DLC. I comment and watch your vids because you are good. Consistent as all get out. It will take time for these wrinkles to settle, and it will be a different game. I may not enjoy being able to max drag. I might not like fighting a pong fish for thirty minutes. idk, time will tell. Let's see what we get back.

Farming uni Nile Perch seems like more xp per hr than the new map i think

Bad news for those who don't know. They halfed the xp at the congo for only nile perch. So the grind for 83 at the congo will be much longer.
Don't spread fake info plz, just caught uni nile perch and it gave me 44k xp just the same as always.
