I have used Knit Picks Comfy cotton for baby blankets. It washes well and the colors stay bright. Last night my daughter in law was wrapped up in my grandson’s blanket and messaged me to let me know how soft and cozy it felt without being too warm.
Bernat Baby Blanket yarn is great. Projects work up real quick since it's bulky. Easy to wash. Super soft too. I've gotten many compliments from happy momma's.
Michelle!!! You’re a genius. Cutting your 12x12 paper into 6x6!!! I’ve been papercrafting since 1999 and have so much 12x12 that I don’t do anything with because it’s “too big”. Thank you so much. I’m excited for you with the cardmaking. It’s so rewarding. Good luck with your watercolor class. I have a feeling it’s a “practice” thing 😂😂. And finally , I love that shawl. I’ve given up making shawls because they’re all so huge and I’m 4’10”. I know I can modify but who wants to do that. I love your podcasts and am so glad you’re doing them. ❤
I don’t comment often but I am today. You look great! I am currently doing a community water color class. What’s nice about that is the teacher is there to give you advise. Brushes are very important, they must be able to absorb water well. Also 100% cold pressed cotton paper makes a big difference. I think you should give yourself more credit on your attempts. I can’t believe the eagles don’t go after your chickens. We see them eating on deer carcasses as we drive up and down our mountain. This week there was also a huge golden eagle. You are very generous.
Good to see you Michelle:) I love that crocheted blanket with black. Love how it looks but I hate working with black yarn these days! I love my dog too!!❤
Your cards are great, my girlfriend loves to make cards too. I really like your podcast, you remind me of myself. Always wanting to start new projects, then get tired of them. I love to give gifts to others when I want to really keep what I’m giving to them, which means you really must love the project bags you are giving away. I do like the scarf you are giving away and would like it.
I circling back to finish your podcast. I LOVE your blanket! It is so beautiful and it is going to be so cozy. For baby or gift projects, there are good washable versions in Cascade and Berocco. And when you spend enough at WEBS online, you get up to 25% off. I love your cards. I think your wayercolor turned out beautiful. If you did a “Hang with me While I Stamp”, I would fully enjoy that. If you would be inclined to.
Your card looked great to me. i have tried water color, and it isn't easy. good luck with your classes. I loved hearing your podcast !nd that Lesslie is doing well.
I am glad Oso and Grace are doing ok now. I would love the shawl, it is very pretty, perfect for Louisiana. I am currently knitting up a baby blanket for my niece which is due in April. I agree with not using expensive yarn so I am using Premier Puzzle yarn which is a bulky yarn and it is working up pretty quickly. That painting looks great. Better than I could do. You are kind of like my Brother in Law, he says when tightening something tighten until you strip it then back off a quarter turn, LOL. Thanks for sharing Michelle.
You are so generous with your prizes! Congrats to the winners! Your blanket is lovely and your cards are beautiful! So fun to see them and you are making me want to try water color, I have the stuff and I enjoy painting but haven't given it a go yet! 😊
Your watercolor is beautiful! Also, your shawl is pretty too! The birds have been returning to the Ozarks so I have been a bit obsessed with birds too! Soon all the hummingbirds will be back and it will be a bit crazy!
Michelle, I love your card with the wire and birds. I think it is fabulous. I use to sell stamps years and years ago and make cards. I love paper, markers school supplies and all that. Love that you share what is making you happy. I would be very interested in that beautiful scarf you made. I was just talking with a co worker at work, and we where talking that we need to wear scarves to keep our necks warm and not be so stiff from the blowers at work. The color is stunning and it would go with everything. 😊 It is very kind of you regardless if I don't win, I just love the fact you are destashing and gifting with other crafters. Thank you so much for your videos and your stories. I enjoy listening while I craft. :)
Hey!! I know it’s been forever (or a month… 😂- but if you still want the scarf- email me. I know people are suspicious of comments on here so you can dm me over on IG if you’re there - knottyknitwits@gmail.com
Hi Michelle! My name is Elaine, hubby is Larry. Love the podcas! Your neutral color shawl is beautiful. I would love it! If you can, please keep doing the podcast. You are a hoot to listen to. I feel like I know you. Been watching since the beginning. Hope you and hubby and pets are all fine. I am on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, so I am familiar with Ft. Meade, where your daughter is. Say hi to Leslie when you see her. I'm sure everyone misses her!
Enjoyed the podcast! I just love that hexi blanket - so pretty! I’ve been really into crochet lately and have several projects in mind. I just started a baby blanket using Stylecraft Special dk. It’s a really nice acrylic, very soft. I’ve used it a lot for blankets. I get it from Wool Warehouse in the UK. It costs less to get it from there, and the shipping is very reasonable, than to buy it from US sellers. Another good acrylic is Premier Everyday Worsted (also comes in dk) - I’m using this right now to knit a cardigan for my wool sensitive daughter. Really nice to work with. I would love that gray scarf/shawl you showed. I wear things like that a lot. I enjoyed seeing your card making, even though I have no desire to do it, but I like looking at it. I do collect fountain pens and enjoy copying things and using fountain pen friendly papers and different inks. I keep a notebook for quotes and anything interesting I come across, even a little sketch once in awhile. In another notebook I copy books of the Bible little by little - working on Proverbs now. I find I interact with it in a different way when I write it instead of just read it.
Good to see you, Michelle! You look great - love your hair! Thank you for the update on Leslie. It's good to hear that she's doing well. 👍🏻😊 Your hexi blanket is gorgeous! Regarding yarn for baby items, if you have a Hobby Lobby near you their "I Love This Yarn" is great and very affordable. It comes in both worsted and sport weight.
It's so good to see all the fun you're having with stamping/painting, etc. The socks are adorable and your blanket is beautiful! Thanks for hanging out with us! Btw, the o in Knopp is pronounced like the o in knot. 😊
Hi! So glad you are back and LOVE your podcasts so much. I feel like I am right there with you and my life is similar to yours I knit (not as much as I should) and my husband is into all those "equipment" things, don't know the official names of them, but at least they keep him busy and out of my hair during the day. He has to keep busy, or gets bored relaxing with me. You do such interesting things and make me want to try something new. Glad Leslie is doing fine...miss her. Keep those podcasts coming, I enjoy every one! Sue.
That’s funny- I know way more about tractors and the like then I ever could’ve imagined! Well, when I say ‘know’ I mean like- what a tractor is versus an excavator 😂
We had to buy a muzzle for Ollie because he hates his nails clipped. He makes noises like we're killing him. It's the oddest thing. The only thing I can imagine is that something happened to him with his nails before he came to us. I think your birds on the wire card is beautiful! I can't draw either. Stick figures are pushing my limits.
Hi Michelle! Thanks for another podcast. Your Hexi blanket is Stunning! Love that you’re so enthusiastic about the card making! I used to Love scrapbooking and Yes… the Paper!! Enjoy your birds! Have fun until next time!
Great to see you back. You could always call your space, the ‘Kraft Kingdom’ or a craft parlor. That would include anything and everything you want to do in there. I’m trying to stuff an emotional support chicken (yes I went on that craze) and it’s coming out lumpy. I guess I need to google tips for stuffing knitted animals. Take care and say Hi to Leslie.
Hi from Texas. I Always enjoy your podcasts. I’m glad Leslie is doing good. I hope your girl dog is better. We occasionally have bald eagles in my neighborhood, too. I love watching them, but you need to be careful with your small dogs, they could hurt them badly. Love your adventures with watercolor painting. I want to try that, too
Thank you! I think I’m going to do their Pick a Knit blanket. Just deciding if I want to do their kit with those colors or if I want to swap the doe out for pink. I never would have come across them, so thank you!
@@KnitWitintheSticks I think using the pink would be lovely. There is a pattern by Expression Fiber Arts called Unending Love that I like to use for baby blankets
@@conniesandvig5977 well I sent a picture of the blanket kit to my SIL and she said that the nursery is being done in basically THOSE colors so it’s PERFECT! I ordered the kit. I don’t usually do kits but this seems like the perfect solution! So thank you! Email your address and I’ll send to the shawl 🙌 It’s knottyknitwits at gmail
What a good decision to get your baby girl fixed. Life for her will be better for sure (as well as you guys) Also, I’ve been recuperating from surgery so is Leslie not doing videos with you any longer? I hope all is well. Thank you for continuing to share! You’re so talented 💜❤️🙌🏼🙌🏼😎

@@KnitWitintheSticks I watched further into your video and found out! I felt so silly🤣 Thank you again! All your creations are amazing! Your cards are crazy beautiful!!
I enjoyed your podcast so much! I remember when I started in with Creative Memories photo albums…I just loved all the papers available and borders for the photos. Quilting projects and sewing were always something I enjoyed and the pretty coordinating paper reminded me of that medium. I watch several podcasters that keep journals and are talented with sketching and then using their watercolors…I’m so envious of them! Enjoy your card making craft…you are doing great❣️
Your cards are beautiful. Glad your furbabies are doing good. Mine are the same about taking medicine! It's great to see ya back on here. Thank you so much for the goodies!!❤
Thanks for sharing your watercolor. I bought watercolors years ago but like you, I expect to be able to replicate what the instructor does first try. You’re inspiring me to try again especially, like you say, for the potential in card making.
Yes you are so right! I guess it goes all the way back to when we were kids with our sticker sheets! Did you have sticker sheets when you were a kid that you hoarded? 😂
Woo Hoo! I’m so excited! Thank you for sharing your minis with us!! I sent an email to you. Your birds on a wire card is excellent. The sky you painted on it is well done. Showing all the different papers reminds me of when I scrap booked and stamped. It’s been a long time since I used those items.
Hello Michelle! I’ve been meaning to comment on your gorgeous hair!! Love your podcasts! I’m knitting a baby blanket for my niece too! I’m doing the Shale Baby pattern (it’s one of my favorites and I don’t like blankets too much) by Brooklyn Tweed. I’m using Berroco Vintage and it’s flying off my needles! Have a blessed day!
Great to see you, Michelle! You are doing fabulously on your painting! Do you ever watch Chelsea Yarns? Christina does a lot of random art and it is just her imagination as well was a ton of Washi tape. They are a hoot to watch. Glad Grace’s spay went well. Your hexagon blanket is so beautiful! Take care! Congratulations to all the winners!!! 🥳🎉🎈🥳🎉🎈
I made 4 C2C crochet baby blankets last year from Caron Cakes. Really enjoyed working with it. I also love Knit Picks Brava. Lots of colors and washable.
Hugs to Gracie as she heals and cuddles to poor Oso for having been 'drugged'.💊 It's always a good day when your videos appear. Nice to hear Leslie is doing well. 🤗Fingers cross she'll be back in front of the camera.🎥 Learning anything new takes time. Every 'artist' has their own style so don't try to be someone else. Cardmaking is a slippery slope to the old bank account. I don't dare start as I haven't the time, money, or space to set up for another sideline of creativity.😂 But, I do love the mailbox card.🤭📬 Hope you all are well and of course Gracie and Oso 🐾🐾 Take care ~ Hugs 🤗Lacy
So good to see this podcast pop up on my screen. Lovely to see you again Michelle. Such a good podcast. Will you still be doing the other podcast with Leslie or is that one over?
It is fun to see you excited about your card making. Seems like you were getting kind of bored with the knit/crochet stuff. Different seasons of life mean different crafts. LOL. God Bless.
I think you’re right- diversify the crafts! I think it’ll bring back some joy to the knitting community/crochet …. Keeping me entertained is a heavy load 😂
Love your cards! We have power lines along the road going to church outside our neighborhood (our power lines are underground) and I see so many birds on the lines. I saw a cardinal once. Love seeing birds, but I don’t like being close to birds (I have experienced two bird attacks on separate occasions because I was too close to their nests. I wasn’t intentionally close!)
WOW! Bird attacks! Did you ever watch The Birds? That would definitely make one not want to get too close! I hope you weren’t injured! Cardinals are so beautiful. I’ve only ever seen pictures since we don’t have them out here.
@@KnitWitintheSticks we have hummingbirds in our neighborhood. I have always loved Cardinals and bluejays because they are so colorful when you see them in nature usually in the winter when everything is brown. The first bird attack was when I was riding a bicycle and that bird drew blood. I definitely had a headache. The second attack wasn't as bad. I have wondered if they were trying to get my hair as well, but with the second one, I think there were baby birds nearby.
@@KnitWitintheSticks I have watched The Birds and I have had something similar where the black birds were swarming my house. They weren't attacking like in the movie, but they were not happy. I think it was during a storm.
Michelle, I suspect that you stand out wherever you go. I did get my Firefly bag and I love it! ohhhhhhhh, the chicken bag! I know a content creator that LOVES grey. (WOW, I sound greedy - me, me, me, send them to me!) The sky is gorgeous! keep the strokes mainly horizontal and you will be a master. Michelle, Michelle, Michelle, you were not perfect with your first crochet project or in the knitting of your first pair of socks. We didn't walk well in our first steps either! Don't be too hard on yourself. Baby steps, there are tricks to every trade as you know. Be kind to yourself and practice. Haven't made cards in about 20 years, but I did enjoy it. Okay, I'm going to shut up now. Thanks for the news on Leslie. Love you... Back to the 'Somebunnies'
Well, well Michelle, you look SO pretty!!! Not that you don't always, but you look especially lovely today!! And I remember the blanket behind you because it inspired me to make a blanket with minis and black. I'm almost to the end of it, and it is striking! I just love it. Can you say what is the yarn you used for those red, white and blue socks at 32:15? I love it! Also, I am interested in the wrap. It looks like it would look so good with jeans, and I'm totally a jeans girl. Your sky on that card looks fantastic!! Seriously, it looks perfect!! I get the paper thing because I like to add papers to my journal/date book. Have you ever seen videos on You Tube of turning pretty paper napkins into paper you can use using freezer paper? I don't know how else to say that so I hope it makes sense but I think you may like it. If you type in napkins and freezer paper I think you'll be able to find it.
I got this fishbowl like contraption on Amazon meant for cats to put on so you can clip nails. I have a chihuahua and tried it on him. Oh what a game changer. I’m able to clip nails. He’s a sweetheart except when doing nails. Never used to be trouble but with him being 14 he’s getting grumpy.
Oh wow! I’m so excited. 😮😃 Thank you so much! I got the notification. Your podcast was already in my qeue to watch. I can hardly wait to sit down with my knitting and enjoy.❤ What is the last part of your e-mail address? Gmail? I got the KnottyKnitWits part.

I made 4 C2C crochet baby blankets last year from Caron Cakes. Really enjoyed working with it. I also love Knit Picks Brava. Lots of colors and washable.
Always happy to see you Michelle! I love that shawl you are giving away! There is many shawls I need to go through myself.
😘
Love the hexagon blanket, so pretty
Hugs to Gracie as she heals and cuddles to poor Oso for having been 'drugged'.💊
It's always a good day when your videos appear.
Nice to hear Leslie is doing well. 🤗Fingers cross she'll be back in front of the camera.🎥
Learning anything new takes time. Every 'artist' has their own style so don't try to be someone else.
Cardmaking is a slippery slope to the old bank account. I don't dare start as I haven't the time, money, or space to set up for another sideline of creativity.😂 But, I do love the mailbox card.🤭📬
Hope you all are well and of course Gracie and Oso 🐾🐾
Take care ~ Hugs 🤗Lacy
The dog update was hilarious! Poor Oso 😂. It does make you feel bad though, even though it’s humorous.
Yeah it’s funny cuz he survived 😂😂😂
Great podcast!! I love the story about your bald eagles. This is the time of year they lay their eggs. Do you think yours are incubating their eggs?
So good to see this podcast pop up on my screen. Lovely to see you again Michelle. Such a good podcast. Will you still be doing the other podcast with Leslie or is that one over?
Thank you. I don’t know about the KKW one. I don’t want to say ‘never’ although the way it stands right now there are no plans to do so. ❤️
Wish I lived in your neighborhood! It sure would be fun to have coffee with you!
Michelle! Much Love from Colorado ❤😂
I’d love to win the shawl-it’s beautiful!
Hope you feel better.❤❤❤ glad leslie is doing well.❤
I love the shawl. It's so pretty and I do want it and would love to have it!
I love your craft room.
Nice to see you, no more Leslie?
I got this fishbowl like contraption on Amazon meant for cats to put on so you can clip nails. I have a chihuahua and tried it on him. Oh what a game changer. I’m able to clip nails. He’s a sweetheart except when doing nails. Never used to be trouble but with him being 14 he’s getting grumpy.
Off to Amazon to try and find this!! Thanks for the tip!!
I really like the shawl you made....is it still available?
New YampShire? 😂
Oh wow! I’m so excited. 😮😃 Thank you so much! I got the notification. Your podcast was already in my qeue to watch. I can hardly wait to sit down with my knitting and enjoy.❤ What is the last part of your e-mail address? Gmail? I got the KnottyKnitWits part.
Hey Michelle good to see you!
Watch your little dogs, they can be picked up by eagles!
p.s. I love the shawl, too.
Grace may just have some swelling and it takes a bit for her to poop?
Oh interesting! Maybe!!
Or she’s just mad. Lol
Female eagles are bigger than the males
Watercolor is so in now….
Is Leslie’s husband ok?
Yes he’s recovered from surgery just fine!
