Dope interview. Just flew up to go to the book of Hov Tuesday and seeing Clark sample machine and other items in there was a hip hop nerd moment for me
Are they going to interview any women of hip hop? I’m shocked (but not shocked) that they haven’t talked about the new documentary on Netflix about the women pioneers & contributions to hip hop..
Eric B and Rakim “Paid n Full Nas “Illmatic” Dr. Dre “ The Chronic “ Ice Cube “Death Certificate” ATCQ “Midnight MAURAUDERS” Public Enemy “It Takes a Nation etc” Wu Tang Clan “36 Chambers” Mobb Deep “The Infamous” Raekwon “OB4C Links” Slick Rick “The Great Adventures of Slick Rick” OutKast “Aquemini” Along with a few more classics that are BETTER & more Important than Jay Z 1st Album
DJ Clark Kent is a legend. But he's also a biased NY head first and a biased Brooklyn head 2nd. He's not wrong tho, Hov is one of the most successful ever, Biggie is one of the best ever - he worked with both and they all from Brooklyn. Can't really argue with the facts.
Revisionism. Biggie was nice but he wasn’t some obvious superstar. If Puff doesn’t give him them samples and the One More Chance remix. He’s just another nice hardcore rapper in the 90s. Biggie wanted Machine Gun Funk to be his first single lol
Facts also revisionism is the word for when NY media tell us Jay is 🐐 when Nas literally invented the modern flow - without LL & Nas hip hop wouldn’t be where it is today
@@burrrrrr3585jay z is the goat! Nobody done what he has.. that's facts! Nas is a dope rapper that's it he hasn't contributed much to hip hop outside of rap. It takes more than bars. Jay z gave us so much. Knocked so many doors down he's the goat foh
One thing I don't really like about when Clarks Speaks about MCs , Seems as he deliberately leaves Nas out of the convo . I understand you're Jays boy but my G you a fan of HipHop . I don't get it
They definitely are.. they're good enough to appeal to more than just rap fans. Nas isn't. That's why biggie sold more records than nas and he been dead. Nas isn't versatile he just has bars and that's not enough to be goat. Jay z = 🐐
That’s not what was said tho lol they were talking about shawty having her ENTIRE podcast being interviews. These are specific to the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop
RIP Dj Clark Kent 🙏🏾🙏🏾🕯️
Being Younger Than Clark Kent & Hearing Him Say Artists He'll Love To Work With Is A Beautiful Thing. Those Are My Favorite Artist.
R.I.P. a legend in the Hip-Hop community.

RIP Dj Clark Kent!!
I love Hip Hop
So crazy that he had colon cancer here. RIP Clark
Dope interview!
Here comes the super NY/Brooklyn bias as always.
The Hip Hop 50 series is so underrated! Good job Mal and Rory!
I love how Sir Clark Kent said Lady London FIRST and she was the only female mentioned 👏🏾👏🏾❤
She’s basically his Niece.
@@OhTrappyTrap ohhhhhhh makes sense!
“Clark Kent call for me every week
Which is fitting, he knew me since I was three”
Judging by a comment Busta left on an IG post by Ab-Soul it looks like those two are gonna be coming with a collab soon... hype af for that bar fest.
The Pod's integrity though ! DJ Clark Kent said it best .

I've not seen it and I look for new stuff on there often. What's it called
@@bustedhammer8619 it’s really good, I learned a lot from it. It’s a docuseries called “Ladies First: A Story of Women in Hip Hop”

Lmao I love when Clark over emphasizes the importance of Reasonable Doubt. Like dog, it didn’t do what you think it did when it was released
Like it’s a classic but let’s not act like it didn’t get Iost in the shuffle in 96
lol you have to excuse him, new york niggas be in their own bubble sometimes

Then don’t watch
Feels like these interviews are not being promoted. If you know and love Hip Hop, you should want to hear what Clark has to say.
Y’all gotta get Lady London on.
Love hearing NYers say things how it is and not care about regional bias from the rest of “the culture” and all the crying they do.
DJ Clark Kent's kryptonite is New York...true or definitely true?
Welp he is bias but sure
Valid Criticism of Jay & BIG
Did he say Dame was managing Mobb Deep before that name. Don’t recall hearing that in the book.
This was really good. Good listen
