Hi, it is new for me that I have yo put in chemecals directly in the spa - the chlorine I use it says I have to mix it in a bucket with pool water. So what is the best method?

You mention adding the chemicals to the water - Manual for my hottub says add them directly into the filter compartment. Any reason why those seem to be in conflict?

After neutralizing muriatic acid with baking soda, can i dump that in the grass? I am trying to clean my filters from when we didnt have concrete around the pool. A lot of dirt got into the pool and no matter how many times i clean them they are dirty.

I have a bullfrog spa and I use the mineral and choline canisters. My problem is I register no chlorine at all despite cranking up the canister to its highest level (4) and all of my other levels (alk, pH, etc) are fine. I'm suppose to have a reading of about 0.5 with the mineral pack but it's essentially 0. I've tried about everything..even bought new straps etc with no resolution. Do you have any suggestions?

Contact frog water care directly. Their support line is very helpful. I'm assuming you have one of the frog systems since it's inline.

@@nyan.m don't mix them together but you can use shock. Same idea as adding muriatic acid and chlorine. They can both go in the pool but don't mix them together first lol

Yes absolutely, the water isn’t being stopped by the filter just going through it. Take it off, spray with a jet stream on the water hose and put it back on

You have to shock your hot tub for first use so it will activate the bromine or chlorine that you added.

This is wrong regarding Bromine. If your using bromine, and dont want to wait days for the tablets to dissolve. Its much easier to just use bromine booster to establish a base. Key point though when using a booster, you need to also use some shock to activate it. Once a proper level is established with the booster, you then use the tablets to maintain the levels

You are incorrect about there not being an Alkalinity decreaser. Muriatic acid does this exceptionally well.

You have great info on pools and hot tubs but I feel like there is nothing on in ground spas. Most of your hot tub information about temperature doesn’t relate to in ground gas heated hot tubs. Or you don’t mention the differences. Do any of your online courses cover this.
