Hi y'all! I hope you're doing well! Who's excited for spring??? If it ever comes! We've had unusually cold weather in NC (but finally getting a few good days mixed in)... I know it's been awful up north! What's it like where you're at?
Comicat Creations the winter is back too in Algeria (if u happen to know it lol ) .but pretty exciiiiited for spring too .nice design and color choice ❤
Hi hon thank so much for this tutorial. I will be making this dress but longer I am new to sewing so I hope it works. You make it easy for me, thanks again💕🇹🇹
Aw thank you! I’m so glad you like it and that it’s easy to follow 😃 I wore mine the other day on a super hot day and it was very comfortable so I hope you enjoy yours!! Thank you so much for watching and I hope you’ll enjoy my future tutorials... happy sewing 😄
Hi, really new to sewing and came across your videos. I don't have any stretch fabric so this was a perfect tutorial. I made it a little bigger than needed because of a pair of shorts I sewed that were too small and couldn't wear. It looks cute and will be better the next time around 🙃 Thanks again. Your videos are amazing.
That’s so great to hear 😃 I’m glad you were able to make one! Thank you for following and letting me know! If you’re looking for any more non stretch fabric tutorials I have a playlist of all my projects that work with non stretch fabric too! Thanks so much for watching 😃
Thank you!!! I’ve never been the best at following patterns so I’m happy to hear this was easier for you 😃 Thanks for taking the time to watch and leave a comment! Happy sewing 😄
Haha glad you enjoyed the bloopers! I always have so many, might as well include them 😄 Thank you so much for taking the time to watch my tutorial and comment!!!
That dress is cute! I have a ton of this gorgeous dark navy blue stretchy velvet fabric that would totally make this dress perfect for a date night 😄 Thanks Monika! You've done a great job once again😊
Thank you! Oh that sounds like it’ll be a gorgeous dress 😃 You’ll have to let me know how it turns out if you make it! Definitely sounds like a great way to dress it up for a nice date! Thank you for watching!!
Thank you! It takes a lot of time for me to put together a tutorial but I have another one on the way that’ll be up soon, so I hope you’ll enjoy it! Thanks so much for watching!!! 😃
I’m so glad you liked the video! It’s so great to know it was easy for you to follow 😊 Thank you very much for watching and leaving a comment, I really appreciate it! I just wore this dress the other day and have gotten a lot of use out of it so I hope you love yours too 😃
So cute! I have a question, what would you recommend if I wanted to have the shoulder sit ON TOP of my shoulders instead? I don't do strapless stuff so I would like to be able to wear it like a regular dress. Just longer in length? Maybe I can measure the length/neck of a camisole?
Hmm, I’ll try my dress on this weekend and see if I can come up with any tips to see if it’ll work to sit on your shoulders instead of off and let you know if I can figure it out! Thanks for watching!
So I tried on my dress and I was able to pull it up and wear it over my shoulders, so technically you could still make it as I explain in the video and just pull it up and wear it on your shoulders, but since it is an off the shoulder dress and designed to be warn like that, the ruffle panel doesn’t lay totally right - it has a couple of creases when it’s pulled up over the shoulders since it’s not laying straight across the shoulders like it’s made to be warn.
Am new so I know that am late. But I was think could she not add a strap to cover the bra strap so she can still have the off the shoulder strap that's how I am doing mine as I hate strapless bras and cannot go without
I don't have a tutorial for this exact style with stretch fabric but I think this one should still work well with stretch knit! Just make sure to sew with a ball point needle and use either a stretch stitch or a zigzag stitch for all your seams and hems so that the seams will be able to stretch with the fabric. Happy sewing!
I got the fabric from Joann fabric last year so I don’t think they still have it available, but you may be able to find a similar print to sew it with 😃
I have a tutorial for a top very similar to this with the panel going along the top called "DIY Off Shoulder Top Sewing Tutorial"; if you want it to have more of a ruffled effect, you could cut that panel that goes along the top wider so it gathers together into more of a ruffled look. I hope that helps :)

Do you have a pattern for stretch material with this are dress?
