Hi everyone! I made several skater skirts over the holidays and decided I wanted to update my skater skirt tutorial (the previous one I made in this style is several years old) with better info and tips, so I hope you find it helpful. It’s my go to style and I can’t get enough skater skirts or skater dresses! Do you have a go to style you can’t get enough of?
Made my husband a skirt for Father’s Day. He’s going to be so excited, I think I’m going to run out while he’s at work and get the stuff to make another one. Thank you!
You explain things so well, and explain WHY you should do those things (like with the type of stitches you need to use) and I find your videos really really simple to follow❤
Okay, found this updated version and it's even better! I'd already cut the circle and am glad I got to this before adding the waistband. I make quilts, not clothing. I don't have a ball point needle, but with lots of pins to keep layers from slipping, I didn't have any trouble. I LOVE THIS SKIRT!! It fits perfectly. Now I want to make a bunch more. I would wear this anywhere. Thanks. I am thrilled with it.
That is such a beautiful fabric & skirt, & I love how you can make it different lengths too. You explain things so well. Thank you muchly for sharing this make, & take care of yourself to. ❤🙂🐶
Thank you so much Maxi! 😃 I love that fabric too - I saved a little bit off of it that I hope to make a top or swimsuit top in the summer with because I love how bright it is. Thanks for watching and I hope you're doing well!!
@@ComicatCreations Glad you had a bit left over, to use on something. I'm doing great, Thanks for asking. I hope your well also. Take care of yourself. ❤🙂🐶
This fabric was easy to work with because it wasn't too flimsy so it didn't move around much while I was trying to cut it luckily! 😃Thank you for watching!!
Always love the math, simple construction of these skirts. Don’t those lumberjacks know there is a serious production going on?! I’m sure if you ‘axed’ them to stop, they ‘wood’. 😂
Great tutorial. I'm going to be down with shoulder surgery and recovery for the next 6+ months, so I'm looking to get some creative juices out still. I have 3 daughters to make stuff for. I think I might try to make matching dresses for the wife and daughters.
Thank you for watching! I really hope your surgery goes well and that the recovery process is as smooth as possible. That's so cool that you'll be making things for your wife and daughters - I'm sure they'll appreciate that so much 😃 I definitely find sewing to be super therapeutic so I hope you enjoy it as you recover. Good luck with the surgery!!!
@@ComicatCreations thanks! I'll be checking out more videos for some ideas. I have some things in mind, but I don't know all the names of the styles of what to look for. Where is the best place to get your fabric and supplies?
Thank you so much 😃 That's so awesome you're making your wardrobe this year!!! I'd love to hear some of the things you make... good luck and happy sewing!
très jolie, bravo, stp, peux tu nous faire un tuto pour une doudoune ? merci beaucoup ( very pretty, well done, please, can you give us a tutorial for a down jacket ? thank you so much )
Thank you so much for watching! I may not be able to get to a jacket during this winter, but hopefully will be able to do more winter tutorials next year 😃 Thanks for the request!
