I think it's almost criminal Guthrie hasn't been asked to do more movie soundtracks. I suppose it's the industry's loss. His music, at least to my ears, is very cinematic.

Indeed ! It's very cinematic. Especially his latest releases.. I feel intuitively just now after reading your comment that he will be making more music for film. Thank you for watching

Well done you, for navigating around the notoriously prickly Robin Guthrie, and allowing his natural warmth and humour come through.

The Moon and the Melodies is my favorite of his. It was my introduction to Cocteau Twins music when I first heard it in 1989 and been a big fan since.

Great interview! It felt like you are talking to a friend in your own living room 😊. My ex husband made a pedal for Robin's guitar (we are from Uruguay), and he said it was really nice talking to him. Thank you for posting this! 👍🎶

Besides the amazing & noisy Link Wray, the nerdy intellectuals, Bill Nelson, R. Fripp & A. Belew; Robin Guthrie is most deffinitely my favorite electric guitarist. Nobody has his vision with dark to dreamy modulation. ❤

I’m sure he has been asked that in nearly every interview, for decades. He was pretty clear that Cocteaus is in the past, and he’s still doing his music now, all the time. Not sure if you listened to the interview, but he sounded tired of it, and said he finds it "creepy" that people are so obsessed with what he did when he was a teenager.

It's like every song before Imperial is time locked and reworking or revisiting any of his songs from before then is pretty much impossible from this interview. As a fan it's a shame as it's all his body of work, even if the past isn't a nice place. I like all his stuff. There's nothing wrong with him performing Cocteau Twins or Robin Guthrie solo. It's all Robin regardless. Fans who go to see him like both. I hope Robin see's that from a fan's perspective.
