You consciously (or perhaps subconsciously) not added "MY" because the video will have more views. The psychology of the masses. "People don't like telling you things. They love to contradict you." (Sherlock s1e3)
Good to see Obi Wan again... 😆
Steve Schmidt the force is with him.
Steve Schmidt exactly what I was thinking!
That riffs still on the high ground
Steve Schmidt doesn't look close to ewan McGregor to me
I pay my Internet to read things like this.
That Rebel Rebel intro really never gets enough love. And Two Minutes to Midnight was a pleasant surprise as well. Kudos.
Dm let 👆👆let talk I got something special for you🎊💯
Dm let 👆👆let talk I got something special for you🎊💯
I like how he wore crocs at first, when we was playing calm acoustic, and then he changes them to boots. badass XD Nice playing btw!
You need run to the hills by iron maden
Ha ha!! This is basically me in high school just playing all the recognizable riffs and not the song in its entirety.
me right now as a high schooler realizing it’s an actual problem😅
Kennedy Y +1 :D
Man I started the same way lol
This is me at 39 and still doing the same shit way too often 😂
Same
Great job man. Great sound and nicely played. Can't believe some people are dissing you simply because it's not their 25. As if this is anything other than a cool piece of fun.
He looks like if Conor McGregor and Chris Evans had a kid
Who?
@That One Guy You Walk Past What hard to read?
@That One Guy You Walk Past LOL!
I'll live! You had to be THAT guy right?
@That One Guy You Walk Past Sorry mate? I didn't why at all!
DW, it's all good!
Cheers!
Lol
And my brother gets mad at me because I never play a song all the way through.
Me too!🤣🤣
Me too!🤣🤣🤣
When I was taking lessons, this is what I "hoped" I sounded like...just playing riffs and intros...no boring lessons.
( On my Les Paul Jr. solid body ) oh, the good old days.
Haha, same here!
555th like
DAMN he rocked that voodoo child riff
chile
What about that merciful fate tho
You can't have a list of badass riffs without Back in Black.
Did you watch the video?
@@Alfin_d24 What suggests that he didn't? He was simply stating that you can't have a list of badass riffs without Back in Black. Whether or not it is in the video doesn't change that.
@@ayaanhaque6340 oh true haha
Watching this at 16 having just learnt my first chord on the guitar (Em), I have one big journey to go on 😋
Don't we all?
You got this!
How's it going?
Good luck with it man!
I started at age 12 and am 56. The journey NEVER ends. That's a beautiful thing.
Now I know Steve Rogers is a badass in every way ;)
Stfu His name is Conor Mcgregor
LOL
No Johnny test
Ka..ka...Maybe Jimmy Hendrix !! Is he still single??
Leo messi?
Only problem with this video is that I stopped recognizing the riffs at the end. Now I feel old!
I'm young and don't know any post 03 lol
Zachary Derrick so you don’t listen to any of the amazing guitarists and bands that play today? That actually play good music?
@@billhader8404 no dude, we just don't know these obscure riffs........
Nick Birge Metallica, the white stripes, John Mayer, the black keys, and muse aren’t obscure bands or artists. They’re very well known.
@@billhader8404 Muse is for Radiohead fans, which I'm not. The Black Keys is for hipster, which I'm not. New Metallica is for guys with leather vest at a bar, that drive a Subaru, which I'm not. The White Stripes................. Yeah no.
John Mayer got chops tho.
Sunshine of your love . One of my first songs on electric guitars. Thank you I really enjoyed hearing you play many old songs I used to love . I need to play guitar again .
That amp fail was funny
Yes
Lohon gaming true facts haha
Where? Didn’t notice
Markus Barkholt he accidentally plugged the power cord into the audio port
Andrew Wigginton it’s not the power cord. It’s the jack cable. But i understand what you mean
When your sims level up their guitar skill.
🦵
A-ha h
money for nothing is my all time favorite riff that shit just goes _hard_
Kendall R A very underrated guitar riff. My favorite as well. A close second is the intro to Ain’t Talking Bout Love by Van Halen
You really got me by the kinks.the First hard rock riff ever recorded...and still rockin' After 57 years
0:25 Lmao this is way too relatable :D
MyNameJeff your gf breakup with you or something.
MyNameJeff chill bro you mom big gay
MyNameJeff did someone finally tell you your edits are shit😢🤕
@@polpottopg i don't know if we should listen to the guy who has a sheldon account pic
All i read was nothing but opinions that meant nothing to me, come at me with a decent point next time x
Thank you for being the only "top riffs" guy to actually remind people that there were badass guitar players prior to 1960! 🎸😎
And after 1990
Mitchum Parker, good point!!! 👍🎸
Very cool riffs! I need to learn them all!

Emre Kara Good I thought I was the only one
Anthony R btw
Emre Kara he's into music now?
I agree, Ewan McGregor is good at guitar.
iyi denemeydi mayweather
"Merciful Fate" is from a Mercyful Fate song called "A Corpse without a Soul" that was released in 1982.
thank youuu!
Amazing! The amount of time and effort that was put into this!
This video is literally, "less talk, more rock!" Freakin' awesome. And I love that it's all played on a tele! (with the same signal, even??)
i didnt know Conor McGregor had a secret youtube channel
Adonai 💀💀😭 I’m weakk
Looks more like bearded chris Evans
😂😂
😂😂😂
Damn, my comment lit af
4:55 ratm couldn't exist without their bass, you can hear how crucial it is for the sound.
Noscil it sounded weird because killing in the name of has a downtuned E string. Paul played it with regular tuning.
Drop D
Every rock band won't exist without bass, it's like the cornerstone of rock music.
@@bimshake damn right but good luck getting that through a lot of guitar player's heads lol
@@RC-bs6eb yeah, especially jackass shredders
Great playing and mixing! Some suggestions of other riff anthems for the part 2:
1. All right now
2. Black dog
3. Day tripper
4. Paranoid
5. Play that funky music white boy
6. Breaking the law
7. I love rock&roll
8. Walk this way
9. Seek and destroy
10. Bad love
11. Money
12. Ain't talking about love
All these great songs and then Jimi Hendrix comes along with Voodoo Child in 68 and blows everyone’s minds
Of course you cant fit in all the cool riffs in 25 picks - Id say you did a good selection! 👍
Holy fuck the headphone jack this is so fucking relatable😂😂😂😂
ik lol
Carlos Zetina I just made that mistake today
Carlos Zetina I know when me and my bro are practicing we start and there's no sound from the guitar we check everything legit everything except where the cord goes
Then you will think your guitar is broken when you didnt realized
We once spent an hour till we found out our guitarist had plugged his guitar into the footswitch.
This just goes to show that the guitar never lost it’s touch
This dude can play
Most Badass of all: pick flip without missing a beat @1:56. Love your vids!
Your tone is lovely
but not very badass
Shoulda played a les paul
Was terrible on heartbreaker! Sounded to clean and just wrong...
very sick tone.
did not expect that mercyful fate riff, made me smile a lot :D!
Boogie Chillen is the most badass riff ever written. None surpass it. RIP John Lee Hooker. I will not be taking questions at this time.
I knew it was over as soon as he put on the crocs
Dino Saur but he takes them off
Any black sabbath would have been welcomed. I liked the vid tho
Maxime Lavoie or a top 25 Sabbath riffs video
Can’t help but notice your king crimson profile picture
TJTV IN THE COURT OF THE CRIMSON KIIIIIIIIINNGGG
AAAAAHHHHHH
21st Schizoid, Red, Larks' Tongues pt. 1 They are all BADASS!! And almost all of those evil Sabbath riffs. I mean there's a huge gap between 69 to 73 why the F did he even put Barracuda there?
Maxime Lavoie children on the grave
So cool how he's so good on the guitar while playing the drums off camera!
PAUL is a Perfectionist and Deserves a lot of respect , he lives and breathes the music we all love 🎸💖✨🎼🎼🎼🎼🎬🏁🎖☮️
Me: decides to learn the guitar
Simply guitar: let me introduce myself
Lol
Simply Guitar: pay this much to continue.
I'm impressed (among many other things) by how he can play all these badass riffs on the same instrument. Other YTers would have been switching out 6 different guitars. Love this vid!
nice to see rebel rebel in the list and the riff that made me fall in love with the guitar Back in Black
I love how you don’t stop and keep transitioning to different songs. Dope video bro
Obi Wan? Tall McGregor? Pewdiepie? Which one is he? D:
Pierre Huguenard obiwan mcpie?
Obi wan is also a McGregor
Obi McPie maybe
i think he's conservative commentator, Gavin McInnes
Obi Wan with high ground
Ok, it's nearly half 12. I was settling down for the night.
Now I feel like a few JDs & more music. You rock. 🤘🏼
You make it look so easy. You have so much talent it's insane
You said talent. The proper word is skill. Practice would also be acceptable.
dude, great job on just going for the riffs without doing other commentaries that would bore most people. Great Job. thumbs up for me
Where's satisfaction, one of the best riffs of all time?
Tbh, it's not that "badass". It's a great and iconic riff though.
He cant get no satasfation when playin it
Hes playing a tele any Stones riff would have done
Jumping jack flash would've been great as well
Most bad ass riff ive ever heard, ur right it should be here.
I am a 90's child but man this is some of the best guitar riffs
Not ever going to get better than all that.
Amazing stuff ! Cheers from am old Las Vegas drummer!!
The crocs in the beginning 😂
Ruined the badass style a bit lol
Had a big smile on my face when you played Money for Nothing. Dire Straits are so underrated when it comes to their legends status in Rock history.
SO TRUE MY FRIEND, SO TRUE
Knopfler is top 5 best guitarist all time and nobody knows who he is... its a sad world we live in...
@@firewfire Plz he is not in top5 not even close slash and buckethead stays from 1-400 top xD
@@uotafak8479 sorry but you are wrong. You are comparing apples to oranges. Those guys make noise and they do it well. But Mark makes art. You are talking about shredders. Im talking "best" guitarists...
That said its all subjective. Id say those guys are easily top 10 total though, but id take dave murray over both those guys if you want something harder and less bluesy. That guy sold his soul for sure. But yeah Slash is the shit and buckethead is pretty incredible too.. but you are high if you think those guys are "better" than say stevie ray vaughn and clapton.
The sad world i was referring to is beyonce and kanye or bieber fans. That shit is simply not music.
@@firewfire If you think they do noise, what do you think about Eddie Van Halen?
