@xKyleNxCoD well the thing is im not getting a good fps maybe around 10-15 so do i enable it somewhere that im using quad core for this game or is it that i dont have a good enough processor PS-i thought i passed even the recommended but was i wrong?

I have a problem. Every time i click my Operation Flashpoint: Red River launch shortcut, or the actual game launching mechanism, the game doesnt load... It attempt to load, but it just attempts and then gives up i can't launch the game and i don't know why! Will someone please help... :(

@dekster14LP just arma not arma 2? becasue if your talking about arma 2 my computer cant run it very well
Did you call in the Osprey gunner or the tactical nuke? I like using the support perks because I have a lower K/D ratio and focus on team assists (like painting targets, disabling enemy equipment, and knocking out enemy air support).

do u think(or anybody) i installed the processor incorrectly?(im pretty surre the graphics card IS installed correctly). i had that suspicion because before i had an AMD athlon ii x2 240 or sumthing like that and i didnt really feel a difference after i installed the new one. One more question, Do processors effect game fps especially if quad instead of dual? thanks in advance. SUBBED :D
I am thinking about getting this game, i have one question though, does the mission fail if any of your team dies, or can you continue without them?
@imsocoolish97 Yes, you will se much higher fps in games that uses more than 2 cores. One of those games are Red river.
@ThePixelEnemy i tried run-n-gun in dragon rising...it didnt go out so well. neither did 360 noscopes

When I launch the game, it is the lowest graphics, but I change it to 1920 x 1080 But the graphics are still HORRIBLE. Any help?
I vote to Have Operation Flashpoint Games Not only Remastered but also sequaled and new versions made. But only Realistic and With Real Army Tactics.. Make attention for Ps4 and Xbox 1 Versions and even ps5 when it comes out
If you google Operation Flash Point Red Dragon Field Manual you will see a forum asking about it and on that forum is a direct link to the download. Lots of games don't have paper manuals, its on the disc or on the website. Codemasters was hacked so its on their facebook page, almost 60 pages long.

Put the shadows on high (then they're not rendered by your graphics card)
Turn off post process (removes a lot of the blurryness)
Video memory on default
The dialogue is really cheesy and stilted, you'd never think these Marines were being shot at by the way they talk. Also, that black sergeant is so over-the-top he makes R. Lee Ermey look subtle and subdued.
Is this game as strategic as dragon rising or more arcade like battlefield??
@comandosespeciales In CoD your character is running all the time. He is in a full on sprint once you push in that thumb stick. When I'm fully geared, and I've been running around all day running at a dead sprint for longer than 30 seconds gets a little hard.

@nuttex Im not agree.When you control a team and study tactics, prepare strategy moving the single soldiers of your team , in my opinion this is a simulator. You have an arcade when, in solitarie, you must destroy all enemies as soon as possible or more than possibile. If you seen these element in this game, I think it's because Codemaster want to add arcade elements in plus.

Of-cause, i know those two games Operation flashpoint red river and Operation Flashpoint Dragon rising is been a longtime but still the best in my library codemaster they did a good job trust me now

This game looks sweet. I was a BIG fan of Ghost Recon: Jungle Storm on Playstation 2, but not the latter games on Playstation 3 due to how much like Call of Duty they were becoming with the straight routes and not much thinking or team work. Is this anything like the first few Ghost Recon games? If it is, I'll definitely get it, the only bad thing I can see about it is that it's only one person offline.

CWC = Cold war crisis. The first OFP was called Operation Flashpoint: Cold war crisis. Its not developed by Codemasters though. Its developed by bohemia interactive, so really arma is the real sequel to operation flashpoint.

@calumknight1984 The playability, realistic movements and entertainment of missions in ARMA is 30% related to Flashpoint. In Red River if you are an advanced explorer soldier you can adjust your scope to the range, you can drive vehicles according to the mission. Today doesnt exist a real sim, but Red River is better than others..
@FreshApplePieOnXBL I did look at the benchmarks, I out a lot of research into my build and it was final with the 2600k along with a gtx 580 lightning
In real wartime situations a mission can take all day until nightfall if need be. A lot of patience and staking out is what really happens in war. (that is if your possessions are being infiltrated like with the PLA in Dragon Rising)

Probably going to buy this..but it would be great to see a game where, when you pick up the enemy AK, sometimes you get the ones decorated/held together with radiator hose clamps, carpenter nails and duct tape shit like that.

@calumknight1984 Try the extreme difficult, you dont view any type of helps, you cant view checkpoints or your team status, any enemy indicatos, nothing!.. and at the first bullet you are died.

@dekster14LP yeah i have arma 2, my dell laptop is a 2010 windows 7 intel core i5 i can play arma, but i have to have everything on the lowest setting, to the point of where it seems my guy needs to where glasses, everything is very blurey, i cant tell who is who

i really like the gameplay that that flashpoint provides super fun playing online but the servers weren't so good in dragon rising, they disconnected in really engaging games
excellent fire fight. if start an army, do you want to be in it? man you are skilled, checking your corners, all the time. and your aim, excellent Sergeant. i am going to recommend to the general you get a gold star for this one. whooare.

I can run it decently on my laptop, I just put the post-proces stuff off.
Arma Free is Arma 2, but not the highest level of detail available, no mods possible and no singleplayer campaign, all other stuf is playable. (if you have arma 2, you can play with arma free players on the same servers)
@vjdsjgc yeah, i was insulting him by saying that his computer wasn't enough to run a video game.
well i had to return the game 10 min after i got it because i got a BIG bug wich wouldent let me get any weapon.
This was on xbox 360 and it impossible to complete the training camp without any weapons.
Huge let down for me!

That is why i told from some aspects,im a arma player myself,since im just not the type of the guy to run n gun,i just cant do it,i like to plan my move,consider alternate routes,BF3 DOES allows me to do this due to enormous maps with full support of suppresion effect,that maximizes tactics reusability,on another note,COD does not support any kind of law enforcement/Marine tactics,you cannot get from cover to cover,covered by your teammate,becuase there is NO way to suppress enemy
