The accent is lovely of course, but oh gosh, the sound of Matthew's voice is divine: rich, sweet, and buttery like honey. Despite the character's intended unlikeability, I LOVED the character of Tom from episode 1 of 'Succession', all due to Matthew's brilliance in bringing him to life. Many fans will recommend Matthew in 'Pride & Prejudice', but if you ever get the chance to watch the British adaptation of 'Death at a Funeral', you will not laugh any harder than that film. Hilarious!
He's 100% right - if you've been a fan of superhero movies for a long time, you will be very pleased with the surprise characters. And on that, I shall say no more! I also loved Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova (not a spoiler). She owned the evilness of her character.
As a Jane Austen fan I love anyone who plays Mr Darcy.....Tom and also Colin Firth......There is a movie about the war that they were co-actors in and I said to my husband " Two Mr Darcy's playing side by side"
The show that had the most actors that shocked me was True Blood. Everytime I saw an interview with one of the actors with the most southern accents would hit me with an unexpected British accent.
I love this guy. With just 10 minutes of screentime Netflix's The Last Kingdom he steals the scenes. He was a great with Ray Stevenson & Luke Evans in The Three Musketeers. And I was with Tom Wambsgans since the beginning in Succession. Even though he was a conservative.
Ah! Saw this movie in the first session available yesterday (Thursday morning in Aus) and oh my god! I was just grinning the whole way through! It was so much fun! And I'm so happy with one particular cameo that was just a picture on a bus! Exactly the way I've been saying those cameos should still happen for years now!
I was so giddy the whole way through the movie that I had to go watch it a second time just to know if it was actually good or if I was just fully hypnotized by..... well EVERYTHING happening non stop on on the screen (and being a deadpool superfan and easily entertained😂)! It was a good movie the second time too. 😉 And probably will be the next 46428 times I watch it.❤️

I agree that his Minnesota accent was accurate for a St. Paul native. Most actors exaggerate the northern MN accent, which is not how people talk in the twin cities. 💯

The movie was so fun and the cameos were such a surprise...if anyone wants to know who they were just ask...😂 gonna watch it again with my family and friends...X-men will be back in the movies baby!!

Every now and then I get a petulance set to rights only by seeing it again, the 2005 version, or by rereading some chapters of the novel. There are so verrry many of us who still love the movie and Matthew Macfadyen was completely superb in the role of Mr Darcy.
