I do not know why they ever questioned Lamar arm strength and throwing ability. Just because he’s an all time great runner, that don’t mean he has to have passing as a weakness by default. He has been passing the ball a legit level for a while. Just because he makes a few bad decisions in big games, they try and poke holes in his game as a whole.
He’s a great passer but it’s not really at an elite level. Nobody who has 2 brain cells to rub together thinks he can’t pass it’s just a “weakness” when compared with players like Mahomes or Rodgers.

If you notice when the rain calm down a little the Ravens offense got hot, even the jets was putting together drives when the rain chilled a lil bit. The bottom line is Lamar made the throw he needed to make to win the game.

That defense is going to be good this year. Solid at every level from D-line, LB's, and DB's. Offense will be slow until Wilson is back but this is the template that Miami and Buffalo followed. Build up the defense and stay in games, then hope your drafted QB can figure it out.

I really hope they stay healthy, but Jawuan James went out with an Achilles, and Fuller had a pretty nasty looking knee injury, so not a great start. Luckily, we have depth, and Ronnie Stanley and Marcus Peters should be back soon, but still, brings back some bad memories.

Facts!!!!
The most frustrating part of watching the ravens is knowing Lamar missed out on more stats because some scared player couldn’t do their jobs lol. Tomorrow everyone’s gonna be like “Lamar had so many incompletions” as if likely by himself didn’t drop 5 spoon fed throws. He threw well enough to go for 25 for 30 with 300+ yards and 5 tds today and finished with a high incompletion percentage that wasn’t even his fault.
Yea, I absolutely loved how Likely played in the preseason, but this was a disappointing performance from him. I think he'll bring it next time around!
The Jets definitely made the most out of their draft. Sauce Gardner and Garrett Wilson were looking great and definitely gave us a hard time.

You can definitely tell the starters for Baltimore didnt get broke in with any preseason games so they were a bit rusty when this game first started but they got hot real quick though.

What a game for the Ravens! The Birds were good through the air when the ground game was stifled with injuries. Rashod Bateman and Devin Duvernay had an excellent day today. Hopefully, they continue to show out this season. The Jets didn't do that bad either. Adding Sauce Gardner to that defense seems to be just what the doctor ordered.
Next week, the Ravens take on a Dolphins team that smacked the Patriots today. Two teams coming off big wins, it should be a good game. The Jets meanwhile match up against a Browns squad that played spoiler to Baker's first game against his old team. It'll be interesting to see if the Jets can capitalize off of a decent yet losing effort against the Ravens or if the Browns can go up to 2-0.

I think one player who deserves a lot of credit is the rookie punter, Jordan Stout. The Jets only got two returns in six punts. Stout averaged 48.8 yards, but what the stats don't show is the great hang time he was getting, allowing defenders to get downfield and force fair catches. On one punt, the defender got all the way behind the receiver and was waiting for the ball with him. And IIRC, that wasn't on a particularly short punt.
