I got this bag about a week ago and I absolutely LOVE it. One clarification: You were trying to store your laptop in the exterior tablet sleeve...not in the internal laptop compartment where it's more than large enough for a 14" laptop. I know this because I store my 14" MacBook Pro inside, along with an A5 leather journal + cover, leather field notes wallet (a bit smaller than a travelers brand notebook), iPhone, keys, a Maxpedition pouch with all kinds of "just in case" tools/grooming/emergency supplies, AirPods, sunglasses, and several large fountain pens. In the external zippered compartment I carry my 11" iPad Pro in a Logitech keyboard case. And in the hidden back pocket I carry an ID badge on a lanyard. I can wear this on my motorcycle without fear of water ruining my electronics. I wear it as a sling in front when on my motorcade or driving a car, and when walking it's on my back (sling mode) or on one shoulder (messenger mode). It is the most comfortable and wisely designed EDC bag I've ever used...and I have tried so many. It even doubles as a handy desk surface (due to its contoured shape) when placed face down underneath my laptop. Sooo versatile.

Great & honest presentation. Too bad doesn’t work for you But, it works perfectly for me with Apple iPad Pro & other necessities I need. Thought & research to compare to all different brands & material ( nylon black/ blue) & looks, it exceeds my messenger bag. As a retired professional, with this look & features, I still maintain my image 😜 with younger classy professionals . I carry it 90% everyday. Highly recommended. Thanks for your presentation.👍🙏❤️😜🇨🇦

Appreciate the honestly perspective of a product, giving your thoughts “review” is well received. Will continue to watch your channel for honest feedback on bags and slings…

I’ve watched a few videos about this bag, but just now I realize that there is something conceptually wrong with the size of the bag. I don’t see myself carrying my 4lbs Lenovo laptop and walking with it like I’m carrying an EDC sling. This isn’t a backpack nor a proper messenger bag, and its ambiguous identity isn’t working (for me) in this case. Thanks for the video

I see what you mean about size, but it’s only 10L. It’s either an incredibly small backpack or a large sling. I think it’s better because of the loading design, in a backpack of similar size you’d need to pack it vertically to fit all the same gear which would be a PITA to have to unpack constantly to get to things at the bottom of the bag. If you go outwards well now you’ve got a backpack 3x bigger. The perks of this is you can fit everything in a smaller space and keep it easily accessible and protected. So it’s not going to magically make everything you carry lighter, but it will make it fit in half the volume while maxing access ability.

Wow, it’s like a backpack. I feel like I’d pack that thing out to the point where it would be too heavy for one shoulder carry. Nice looking sling and I love the interior lining, but it’s a weird size… just a touch too big.

You’re right. If I put a laptop in there and a bunch of other EDC, it would fit, but would probably be uncomfortable. It’s one of the reasons I had such a hard time finding a use for it.
I did recently acquire a Code of Bell X-Pak that I’ll be taking on a camping trip in a couple of weeks; that thing can expand up to 21L on a one-shoulder carry, but the strap is super robust. I’ll probably shoot a video for it soon. These last two weeks I’ve been using a fully packed out Genghis for work, and even though it’s one strap, it hasn’t been bad.
