Thank you! So initially the waterline was too low due to a human error. They put the correct waterline up (sanding, base paint, etc.) and finished it with antifauling. As the "old" antifouling was fairly new, they only did do antifauling on the new (base) paint. It is expected to "blend in" within a few weeks.
As you know, we are novice ocean sailers. We left Argentina mid March and so far the current and the wind is in our favour. We took our time and left end March from Piriapolis, Uruguay. Took 7 days to Angra Dos Reis, Brazil where we stayed 1 month. 5 Days to Salvador where we stayed 2 weeks. 4 days to Cabedelo and stayed again another month. We will leave soon to Suriname and the current should be in our favour again. Hope this helps.

Yes, someone made an error and the waterline was too low. Maybe wishful thinking that it would be a very light cat :) That was the main reason to be hauled out. This together with the prop change.

how that crack happened? did they just fasten the job there or is it mistake?
combination of bad luck, high waves and lots of wind.
how do you like the .ast furling Mainsail?
So far, we love it. Sail performance is great and it is easy to use (with a remote)
